  Glossary

Callbacks - c onference with

an agent.
half turn - you turn half

way,walk then turn again.
Button line - something you

would say like “toy’s R us

where kids can be kids”.
Model walk - walking

normally down a runway.
I pose - A pose where you

would turn your left or right

foot out and stand up straight

Modeling takes talent and
commitment.

Modeling is fun for me I
enjoy it. The first thing
you have to do is take
modeling and acting
classes.The classes are
about 3 months long.
During the classes they
teach you how you have
to walk down the runway
and the poses.They teach

you how to do the normal
runway walk,the h alf
turn,and other things.

They also teach you how
to stop at the end and at

the beginning of the
runway. If you are doing
the half turn when you
first get on the runway
they will have you do a
pose then half way down
they will tell you to put

your right foot first,

then left foot,then they
will tell you to turn.they
will tell you to do the
same thing. At the end of
the runway they have you
do a pose. Such as the I
pose,C pose,S pose. You
can also lean one hip and
tilt your head. That's just
a few of the poses.Then
they will tell you to
turn over your left
shoulder and walk down

the opposite side of the
runway you just came
down. Then when you get
to the middle again they
will tell you to do the
same thing as you just
did. The normal runway
walk is just what it is
they teach you how to
walk then after that you
would pose when you
first get on the runway
then at the end also when

you get back from where
you started you would do
a pose. If you get chosen
to be in a competition you
would get the Option to
wear high heels or flats
while walking down the
Runway.

Step by step for an
audition.
first, if you are
auditioning for something
what you want to
practice is your runway
walk,your poses, your
posture,And something
called your slate, your
Button line, and your
commercial. Second the
day All the audition you

should practice right
before you go in for the
audition.Bed where do you
get into the audition
room then may I ask you
some questions like how
old are you,What do you
like to do for fun, what
are your grades like, who
your friends, and who
support you.Following on
with the fourth thing
They may want you to do

your runway walk known
as your model walk,y our
slate and they might
sometimes ask you to do
your commercial.The fifth
thing is That you should
always be yourself at an
audition and show them
who you really are.
Normally they will ask
you To demonstrate
something for them.The
6th thing is that if you do

get accepted into the
competition they will
have a conference with
you and your parents.The
next to last thing is that
if you do get accepted and
they will host a class for
you and the other people
that do get accepted in
and there they will tell
you need / need to have
for the competition they
will go over how much

everything will cost,
what it is more about,
and they will give you
suggestions on what to
do.you will be Notified on
when the event is and they
will tell you all about
it and it might show you
a slideshow on how fun it
is and people who made it
there and what they doing
today .

Comparing and
contrasting things.
For competitions if you
and your friend get in
together. Then you and
your friend both compete
together. But then if you
only get a agent and
your gets 5 agents. Thats
a big difference because
your friend has a better

chance of getting on tv
than you do most of the
time.

Cause and effect
callbacks.
When you get into a
competition you have to
perform your runway
walk and your
commercial. So after you
do all of that the are
agents that will decide if
they want you or not. If
they do want you they
will but an “x” next to
there name on a paper

then the other people
will give you the paper
and you will go and meet
the agents that have
picked you. For c allbacks
you will conference with
them.during the callback
you have to act perficial
and be yourself.if you are
not yourself and perficial
you could lose the chance
to have one more agent.
You also want to be

polite and have good
posture. If you don’t have
good posture it could
affect you in the future
of modeling. Also if you
don’t be polite the agents
aren’t going to want you.
You have to be at your
best at all times.If you
aren’t nobody is going to
want to be around you.
When you are at the
callbacks the agent will

go over what all their
program is about and to
see if you are interested.
If you are not interested
in what they are doing
you don’t have to get
involved with the
program. You should still
go to there table and see
what they are talking
about. THat’s basically
what callbacks are.

Problem and solution at
the competition.
So at competitions you
have to perform your
chermacail and your
model walk.what happens
if you forget your
chermechail. Well before
you go on you will
normally have time to
practice so if you forget
it,you will be able to

perform your best if you
try.you have to try,if you
don’t try none of the
agents will want you.So
you have to try your best
or else you won’t get any
agents which means you
won’t make any money.
So you always want to
practice so then you don’t
get on the stage in front
of hundreds of people and
forget something of mess

up something. If you mess
up try to cover it up with
something along the
lines of your chermacil.so
just make sure you don’t
run into an issue in
future.

All about the author.

I am an actuarial model. I
have 3 agents.I modeled
under armour for macy’s, I
went to Washington D.C for

a competition, and I also
auditioned for a 7 day course
where you are surrounded
with agents. I was in a photo
shoot. Modeling does take a
lot of work. I had to audition
to get into the classes.
Becoming a model was
always my dream and i have
reach my dream thanks to
my mom and the people that
accepted me into the
company. I really enjoy

being a model. Another thing
about me is that i bitted half
way through my tough when
i was three.
