Lake Forest Graduate School of Management Commencement 2022 3 DISTINGUISHED EXECUTIVE AWARD Since 1978, Lake Forest Graduate School of Management (LFGSM) has presented the Distinguished Executive Award to a Chicago area business leader who has been an exemplar of the highest performance standards and business ethics. This honor has been awarded to top executives from many of the Chicago area leading companies. Selection is based on five defining criteria: 1. Demonstration of world-class leadership 2. Lake Forest Graduate School of Management Commencement 2022 4 DISTINGUISHED FACULTY AWARD Every year, LFGSM recognizes a faculty member who is committed to academic excellence, demonstrates intellectual rigor, shows contagious enthusiasm for subjects taught, demonstrates integrity, and maximizes opportunities for business impact. The work of the faculty member in any setting is considered, as long as the faculty member has worked with at least thirty students in two or more classes and has been with LFGSM for three or more years. The selection includes the perspective of students through end of course evaluations along with active engagement in faculty events throughout the year. The awardee has demonstrated exceptional ability to inspire and motivate students to think critically, apply knowledge creatively, and communicate effectively. Lake Forest Graduate School of Management Commencement 2022 5 HOTCHKISS SCHOLAR AWARD The Hotchkiss Scholar Award was established in 1984 in honor of Dr. Eugene Hotchkiss, President Emeritus of Lake Forest College and former member of the LFGSM Board of Directors. A Hotchkiss Scholar is selected based on outstanding academic achievement, leadership ability, and service to their community. The Hotchkiss Scholar designation is the highest honor that LFGSM confers on a graduating student. The Hotchkiss Scholar has demonstrated the ability to integrate and apply their learning in a manner that results in measurable impact and makes a difference in their organizations and communities. The Hotchkiss Scholar models the highest levels of competency, confidence and contribution to be a leader among leaders. LFGSM regards the ability to understand and adapt to management trends and the demonstration of business impact as defining elements of a management education.
