Project Bleed Green of Incoming Global
Volunteer department at AIESEC in
University of Colombo to provide an
opportunity for ingenious minds to present
fresh and creative ideas of youth about
Smart City & Eco-friendly concepts which
would cater to the needs of the future
world. Held over several weeks in August,
it was composed of 3 knowledge sessions
followed by an ideathon.
The series of knowledge sessions put an
end to success with over 200 delegates
covering 3 different topics areas and
encouraging the youth to think out of the
box. Next came up the ideathon with two
rounds and a massive number of
innovative minds rallied for this. In the
initial round, each team selected a domain
from the four domains assigned and
identified an existing problem in the
selected domain and then came up with a
solution of having a workable and eco-
friendly approach in a smart city. The top
five teams from the initial round got
selected to the grand finale of
MECHTROGON which was successfully
held on 21st August 2021.
