Finance Department General Information

The City of Caldwell Finance Department provides efficient, accurate reporting to the general public City departments. A
careful, well-trained staff monitors and reviews financial data and ensures that policies, procedures and transactions
comply with City Council directives and governmental accounting standards.

The Finance Department administers all financial functions within the City. The Deputy Treasurer manages all banking
transactions, bond and debt payments and oversees accounts payable and payroll, cash receipts, utility payments,
grants, and fixed assets. Budgeting, auditing, investments, capital construction projects, financial reporting for the City
and for Caldwell Urban Renewal Agency, and oversight of the Information Technology (I.T.) services department fall
under the direction of the Finance Director.

The Finance Department staff responds quickly to public inquiries and can provide assistance with questions about City
