Wisconsin Office Design-Assist
13890 Bishops Dr. Suite 100 We bring together designers and contractors to work as a collaborative team in the design phase, enabling
them to detect and resolve design problems and constructability issues prior to construction. The net result

Project Approach Peter Schwabe, Inc.
Quality Control, Schedule, & Change Orders Wisconsin Office
Quality Control – PSI Superintendents are onsite at all times during construction. A 13890 Bishops Dr. Suite 100
majority of the time is spent walking through the site interacting with subcontractors to
ensure the plans & specs are being followed, that craftsmanship meets/exceeds industry Brookfield, WI 53005
standards, and to root out any potential issues early on so they do not mushroom into Tel 262.662.5551
something bigger. Fax 262.662.4428
In addition PSI Project Managers are onsite at least once a week. At each site visit the Minnesota Office
Superintendent and Project Manger walk the site and fill out a Quality Management Log. 475 Etna Street, Unit 11
This is essentially a pre‐punch list that evaluates the quality of work in place, and takes a Saint Paul, MN 55106
critical look at upcoming construction based on current field conditions.
Tel 651.493.0776
Finally, PSI employs a General Superintendent that travels around to each of our jobs at Fax 262.662.4428
least once a week. The General Superintendent reviews quality, safety and schedule at www.pschwabe.com
each visit. With over 40 years of national commercial construction experience our
General Superintendent provides the knowledge and calm demeanor that only come
with decades spent in the field.
This multilayer team approach ensures your project will be delivered as a high quality
product on time and within budget.
Schedule ‐ Master Schedules and Three Week Look Aheads are revised and distributed
weekly to the Owner and subcontractors. These schedules are reviewed at every owner
and subcontractor meeting. This ensures the Owner knows what is happening on site at
all times and allows them and subcontractors enough time to react to any upcoming
events.
PSI prides itself on always meeting or beating the schedule. Our clients demand it and we
deliver. We believe that the only way to meet a job schedule is to demonstrate the same
urgency on the front end of the job that you would on the back end.
Change Orders ‐ Changes to the project due to drawing revisions, hidden conditions, AHJ
requests, field conditions and/or drawing conflicts happen on construction projects. PSI
strives to identify these issues early on and document them to completion to minimize
any impact. PSI PM’s creates and manages a Scope Revision Log that keeps the Owner
up‐to‐date within current or potential changes. As we say if there is any chance of a cost
impact it goes on the log. These cost impacts are discussed and approved/rejected by the
owner at weekly meetings.
No work is performed without the Owner’s prior approval. Change orders are processed
once a month with the AIA billing.
Safety ‐ Priority #1. PSI is OSHA 10 & 30 certified. Every person within the limits of
construction is required to wear appropriate personal protection equipment at all times.
Persons entering the site are required to check in. PSI’s Site Superintendent monitors
safety on site at all times. Safety is always part of our meetings. We plan out our safety
activities in conjunction with all OSHA reqs and accepted industry standards, execute our
plan and react to any variable in the field.
What sets us apart
PSI is uniquely positioned in the national construction market. Our knowledge and
resource base allow us to operate and construct superior quality projects that are
expected of large, established firms. At the same time we have the flexibility of a
midsize company to scale our staff and resources to a wide range of project types
that fit the Owner’s needs and budget. That way every client experiences and
trusts that they are our number one priority from start to finish and beyond.
