GoldenTALK Senior Chat Line

This service is a chat and crisis line for Older Adults who are 60 years of age and older. The
chat line assists seniors facing social isolation through warm conversations and also provides
referrals and works closely with multiple agencies with Los Angeles County in the event of a
crisis. For assistance please call 888-604-6533.

Chinatown Service Center- Service by phone only

Offered to persons age 60 and older, they have a supportive service program and an in-
home provider referral service. The supportive service program is offered in English,
Cantonese and Mandarin. Case managers are available to assist with intake/  in-home
assessment, referrals for services and care plan development. To discover how the

In response to the negative economic impacts COVID-19 has had on residents, this program
would provide housing rent and mortgage relief for income-qualified households. The program
will offer a one-time grant of $1,000 dollars to income-qualified households. Households are
not expected to pay back grants. Applications are due by 5:00 pm on

En respuesta a los impactos económicos negativos que COVID-19 ha tenido en los residentes,

este programa proporcionaría alivio para el alquiler de la vivienda y la hipoteca para hogares

con ingresos calificados. El programa ofrecerá una subvención única de $ 1,000 dólares a

Food Resources

Older Adult Nutrition Program

The City of San Gabriel’s daily older adult nutrition program has transitioned to weekly meal
pick-ups. The program is available to all San Gabriel residents 60 plus. Meals are available for
pick-up on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Each participant receives 5 meals for them to enjoy at
home. The Tuesday meals are provided by Intervale Senior Services/ YWCA and supplies may
be limited. To make an inquiry about the program or to register please call 626-308-2875.

El programa diario de nutrición para adultos mayores de la Ciudad de San Gabriel ha pasado a
la recogida semanal de almuerzos. El programa está disponible para  todos los residentes de
San Gabriel mayores de 60 años. Las comidas están disponibles para recoger los martes y
miércoles. Cada participante recibe 5 comidas para que las disfrute en casa. Los almuerzos de
los martes son proporcionadas por Intervale Senior Services / YWCA y los suministros pueden

Critical Delivery Service

WDACS has launched a temporary delivery program called Critical Delivery Services (CDS) to
deliver food and other vital items to individuals who are unable to leave their homes due to
COVID-19. Deliveries are reserved for those who meet at least one of the following criteria:
aged 60 years and older, individual with a permanent or temporary disability, dependent adults
(aged 18-59). Call 888-863-7411 to request delivery service or for more information.

The San Gabriel Mission Parish will hold a food bank every Sunday starting at 7:00 am until all
food is gone. San Gabriel and all surrounding cities are welcome. The parish can be reached at

Reduced fare TAP card reloads are available for residents of the City of San Gabriel. Monthly
reloads are sold at the Community Services Office from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through
Friday.

Curb to curb para-transit transportation program which provides transportation to eligible
individuals. Riders must apply for the service, participate in a transit evaluation and then be

WDACS New Freedom Taxicab Services Program

This provides taxicab services to eligible clients. Clients will be able to reserve taxicab services
with the assistance of a Mobility Manager. Those who meet the program eligibility criteria may
use taxicab services for their transportation needs, such as medical appointments, grocery
shopping, banking, or life enriching activities, within the specified monthly allowance. Clients
can take a maximum of four, one-way trips totaling 40 miles each month at no cost to the
participant. All rides must originate and end in Los Angeles County. For more information call

Este programa proporciona servicios de taxi a clientes elegibles. Los clientes podrán reservar
servicios de taxi con la ayuda de un administrador de movilidad. Aquellos que cumplan con
los criterios de elegibilidad del programa pueden utilizar los servicios de taxi para sus
necesidades de transporte, como citas médicas, compras de comestibles, actividades
bancarias o actividades que enriquezcan la vida, dentro de la asignación mensual
especificada. Los clientes pueden realizar un máximo de cuatro viajes de ida y vuelta por un
