THE HISTORY GAMINI

Gamini Construction was established in 1995 as a Sole CONSTRUCTION
Proprietor Organization and since then this organization
has become one of the largest and most respected Building
and Civil Engineering Contracting Organization in the
Country. Although in the beginning we understood the
building Construction projects, Shop office Complexes &
Factory Building Etc., Gamini Construction expanded and
diversified to undertake the Construction Projects in the
field of Water Supply & Drainage, High Ways & Bridges
and Irrigation Structures etc. This Organization has been
further enhanced by number of fully developed support
services such as pre-cast Concrete Yard & Crusher. In
2009, with the award of ISO 9001:2008 our quality
management system vhad been extended and became the
hallmark for quality in Construction.

Under the patronage of Gamini Construction, there are
other operation organizations such as Gamini Furniture &
Timber Stores.

Gamini Furniture & Timber Stores was established in 1978
as Sole Proprietor and since then this Organization has
become one of the largest manufacturer and Supplier of all
kinds of Modern Furniture & Supplier of local & imported
sawn Timber Varieties. We have three saw mills, three
electrical operated workshops to Manufacture all kinds
of furniture Items etc., which mainly is been supplied to
government bodies such as the Sri Lanka Army, Air Force
and Other government bodies & also the Private Sector.

Y. A. Gamini Perera ,the chairman of Gamini Construction which was established in 1995 ,at a time where
at a time when Sri Lanka was embarking on its commencement towards prominence on the Nation’s
Business and Economic Stage . Looking into our humble beginning, where Business was started as a sole
proprietorship where initially we only took undertook building construction eventually expanded into, Land
development and Recreation, Road Construction and Irrigation System Developments where today no
business is remote to us. Being expert in all fields currently has become hallmark for quality construction.

With the passage of time, turning around into a partnership business, now we have reached the status of a
private limited company expanding our services to wider range customers facilitating sustainable growth of
the company. The successful combination of managerial, operational and technical skills of the employees
together with human capital and business infrastructure has paved the way for the growth of the company
enabling our company to seize the existing and emerging market opportunities, thereby building value.

MESSAGE MANAGING DIRECTOR

Eng. Y. A. H. Gihan Perera, the Managing Director of Gamini Construction, a diversified civil construction establishment
which began its corporate journey in the early 1995 securing a prominence position with in the nation construction
Industry.

He directs the Company as the Managing Director which has gained remarkable status as an up and coming leading
and a pioneering construction firm with ISO 9001 TUV SUD certification enhanced with a high construction contractor
status of C-1 awarded by ICTAD. Eng. Gihan is a proud product of St. Thomas’s Mt. Lavinia, qualified as a BSc Holder in
Civil Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. With the knowledge gathered, himself rendering
an immense service to the Sustainable growth of the Company .Currently an active member of the Young constructors
forum and one of the founding members.

As a leading construction company in Sri Lanka, company has always been a key contributor to the Sri Lankan
construction Industry .We proudly associates ourselves with prestigious and landmark projects with in the Country
