คำนามเอกพจน์ (Singular Noun)

คือ คำนามที่แสดงถึงสิ่งที่มีจำนวนหนึ่งหน่วย เช่น
student, pen, dish, foot, child

คำนามพหูพจน์ (Plural noun)

คือคำนามที่แสดงถึงสิ่งที่มีจำนวนตั้งแต่สองหน่วยขึ้นไป คำนามพหูพจน์จะ
เป็นคำนามที่เปลี่ยนรูปมาจากเอกพจน์ด้วยการเติม s หรือ es ต่อท้าย
เช่น students, pens, dishes หรือบางคำก็ใช้การเปลี่ยนหรือเติมตัว
อักษรอื่นแทน เช่น feet, children

Countable Noun

คำนามนับได้ (countable noun) คือ
คำนามที่นับจำนวนเป็ นชิ้นเป็ นอันได้

Countable Noun

มีสองประเภทคือ (singular noun) และ (plural noun)
คำนามนับได้แบบ singular พูดถึงจำนวนหนึ่ งหน่วย
ที่มักจะอยู่ด้านหลังของคำว่า “a/an” หรือ one.
ตัวอย่างเช่น a pen, one table

คำนามนับได้แบบ plural พูดถึงจำนวนตั้งแต่ 2 ขึ้นไป
ตัวอย่างเช่น pens, tables

การใช้ a, an

a, an ใช้กับคำนามนับได้ที่มีสิ่งเดียว อันเดียว หรือที่เดียว เช่น

a box a banana

a potato a chair

a cup a table

an apple an orange

an egg an umbrella

การใช้ some

some แปลว่า มีอยู่บ้าง ใช้ได้ทั้งกับคำนามนับได้(พหูพจน์)
และคำนามนั บไม่ได้

การใช้ some

เราจะใช้ some กับประโยคบอกเล่าและประโยคขอร้อง/การยื่นข้
อเสนอ
Example

I have some bananas. ฉันพอจะมีกล้วยอยู่บ้าง (ประโยคบอกเล่า)
I'd like some tea please. ฉันขอชาหน่อยได้ไหม (ประโยคขอร้อง)

Would you like some tea? คุณจะรับชาหน่อยไหม (ประโยคยื่นข้อเสนอ)

การใช้ any

any แปลว่า มีอยู่บ้าง ใช้ได้ทั้งกับคำนามนับได้(พหูพจน์)
และคำนามนับไม่ได้ เราจะใช้ any ในประโยคคำถามและประโยค
ปฏิเสธ

การใช้ any ในประโยคคำถาม : any จะมีความหมายว่า บ้างไหม?
Example
Do you have any cheese? คุณมีชีสบ้างไหม?
Is there any sugar in the kitchen? มีน้ำตาลอยู่ในครัวบ้างไหม?
Do you have any friends in London? คุณมีเพื่อนที่ลอนดอนบ้างไหม?

การใช้ any

any แปลว่า มีอยู่บ้าง ใช้ได้ทั้งกับคำนามนับได้(พหูพจน์)
และคำนามนับไม่ได้ เราจะใช้ any ในประโยคคำถามและประโยค
ปฏิเสธ

การใช้ any ในประโยคปฏิเสธ : any จะมีความหมายว่า ไม่____เลย เช่น
Example
I don’t have any friends in London. ฉันไม่มีเพื่อนอยู่ที่ลอนดอนเลย
There isn’t any tea in the cup. ไม่มีชาอยู่ในถ้วยเลย
She doesn't have any cheese. เขาไม่มีชีสเลย
