Pronoun หรอื คําสรรพนาม
คือ คําทใี ช้เรยี กแทนคํานาม เช่น คน สัตว์ สิงของ หรอื
สถานที เพือหลกี เลยี งการกลา่ วถึงคํานามนันซาๆ
เชน่ I love Amanda. Amanda is good girl.
เราสามารถใช้ "She" แทน เพือหลกี เลยี งการใชค้ ํานาม

เพอื ขยายวา่ คํานามนนั เปนของใคร

His performance is amazing.

Possessive Pronoun คือ Possessive Adjective ไดแ้ ก่
คําสรรพนามทีแสดงความ mine, yours, theirs, his,
เปนเจา้ ของเหมอื นกัน แต่จะ hers, ours, its
ไมม่ คี ํานาม (Noun) ตามหลัง
เพราะใชแ้ ทนคํานามไปเลย

EXAMPLE

This pen is mine.
My shoes are more dirty than yours.
The black jacket is his.
The dog is hers.
This school is ours.
That house is theirs.

Possessive Noun

Possessive nouns คือ 1. การใช้ Apostrophe + s ('s)
การทําคํานามให้อยูใ่ นรูป โดยนาํ 's ไปใสท่ ีท้ายคํานามที
ของการแสดงความเปน ต้องการแสดงความเปนเจา้ ของ
เจา้ ของ สามารถทําได้ ซงึ คํานามเอกพจน์
2 วธิ ดี งั ต่อไปนี (Singular Noun) และคํานาม
พหพู จน์ (Plural Noun) มวี ธิ กี าร
ใส่ 's แตกต่างกันดงั นี

คํานามเอกพจน์ สามารถใส่ 's คํานามพหพู จน์
ทีหลังคํานามนนั ไดท้ ันที คํานามพหพู จนท์ ีลงท้ายด้วย s จะ
เชน่
ใส่ Apostrophe (‘) เพยี งอยา่ ง
- My girlfriend’s favorite เดยี วท้ายคํานามพหพู จนน์ นั เชน่
-The players’ shirts are red.

คํานามพหพู จนแ์ บบผดิ ปกติ (Irregular Plural Noun) ทีเปลียนรปู
ไปจากเอกพจน์ จะใส่ ‘s (Apostrophe + s) เสมอ เชน่ men’s,
women’s, children’s, people’s

- The children’s toys are on the floor.(ของเล่นของพวกเดก็ ๆ อยูบ่ นพนื )
- Some people’s names are hard to say. (ชอื ของผคู้ นบางคนนนั เรยี กยาก)
