Celebration of colours



The primary sections of Bhavan’s were taught about the wonder that is colour. A single colour was
celebrated for a week to engross the students about the subject completely. Various activities were
done like making collages and clay models using different colours.

International Nurse’s Day


Kindergarten wing of Smart Indian School & Jack and Jill organized an event for the International Nurse’s Day on 10
May 2021. Little champions of Bhavans celebrated the Nurse’s Day reverently with a theme ‘Nurses: A Voice to
Lead – A vision for future healthcare. Special theme-based activities were conducted by the teachers. With lots of

respect and prayers LKG and UKG kids had made nurse’s cap and wore the caps. Through these activities the little
budding stars got an opportunity to acknowledge the nurses and how they played a role in healing humanity, that too
this pandemic times.

Eid



Eid is the festival of Muslims celebrated after the month of Ramadan. After fasting for the
entire month, the celebrations 3 days. The kids celebrated by drawing and colouring different

pictures.

Baker’s Day


To celebrate the world Baking Day and show people just how much fun it can be to make a cake or some

cookies, and baking can be a great way to spend time with family and friends, Kindergarten children of SIS
and Jack and Jill were asked to bake a delicious cake during the class hours on 17 May 2021.


LKG kids prepared simple vanilla/chocolate cakes whereas UKG kids made banana mug cakes. It was
overwhelming to see such wonderful responses from the children and their parents. The children had so

much fun whilst learning to follow instructions and recipes, weigh, and mix ingredients, select their own
toppings and use their fine motor control to sprinkle, scoop and spread.

Family Day


Family is like branches on a tree our lives may grow in different directions, but

our roots will stay as one.

Kindergarten wing of Smart Indian School and Jack and Jill celebrated the virtual Family Day on 27 May 2021.
Fun-filled activities were conducted during the class hours in MS Teams classrooms.
The kindergarteners were encouraged to dress up and enact as any member in their family whom they
contemplate as their role model. They were also motivated to speak a few sentences about their role model.
Everybody was entertained and enjoyed the cutting and colouring activity of my home and stick their family photo
inside. Students were full of life and full of fun. It was a memorable day in their life.

Lemonade Day


‘When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.’

Lemonade Day was conducted on Thursday, 3 June 2021 during the class hours in MS Teams

classrooms for the Kindergarten Kids. Instead of optimism on focus, this time it was solely on
celebrating the fruit itself and hence all its health benefits were taught to the little students. The
method followed to do so was as usual, a freshly squeezed glass of lemonade because what other

better way to welcome summer than a perfectly chilled glass of lemonade!

Cartoon Character Day



‘Cartoons are probably my favourite thing to do’

Kindergarten children of Bhavans Smart Indian School and Jack and Jill Preschool celebrated Cartoon Character
Day on September 16 2021.Watching cartoons helps children with early learning, cognitive and language

development and enhances their creativity. They learn good morals, kindness and compassion through their
favourite cartoons. The tiny tots attended online classes dressed in their favourite cartoon characters. KG1 kids
made their favourite Minion mask while the KG2 kids made a mask of Sponge Bob. They also performed the

Kaboochi dance along with their teacher.

Gandhi Jayanti


“If we want to reach real peace in the world, we should start educating children”

Kindergarteners of Bhavans SIS and Jack and Jill took great pride in celebrating the birthday of the Father of the
Nation. The real-life stories of Gandhiji, by their teachers made them understand the meaning and importance of the
quote “Honesty is the best policy” in one’s life. The highlight of the day was the narration of the story, ‘Three Wise
Monkeys’, which represented the principle of, see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil. LKG kids coloured the picture of
the three monkeys whereas UKG kids made their favourite Bapuji’s picture through a cut and paste activity. The day was
packed with many priceless takeaways that would guide the little ones throughout their life’s journey. The celebrations
ended by posing for a click with their artwork.

World Animal Day

The kindergarten wing of Bhavans Smart Indian School and Jack & Jill Preschool celebrated World Animal
Day on 4th October. The day created to bring awareness about animal welfare and protection was
celebrated in the kindergarten wing through songs and stories. They were made aware that animals are

mute creatures who need our love and concern in this ever-advancing digital world.

Paper Bag Day:


‘The setting sun asked, who shall do the rest? The little lamp
replied, I shall do my best.’ Well, this was the attitude of the
kindergartners of Smart Indian School and Jack and Jill
Preschool when celebrating Paper Bag Day on October 14,
2021. On being educated upon the drawbacks of using plastic
bags by showing videos of pollution and also its harmful effects
on animal life, the tiny tots took a pledge to do their bit for the
environment. Shout outs like ‘Avoid plastics and adopt paper
bags to keep my earth pollutant free’, were to be heard
echoing in the corridors of the kindergarten wing.

When life gives you waste,

make the best out of it.


Our children live in an age where things are
discarded without a second thought, only to buy and

accumulate more than we often need. With the
environmental crisis our world is facing, it’s time to
make an effort to change this. So, why not
encourage our children to take this forward

was the thought behind this special day, as
imparting such values earlier in life is always
better. The activity helped to enhance not

only the creativity but also helped them
appreciate the importance of recycling and
reusing waste material. It was indeed a day
spent well.

Kindergarten Day



Children learn as they play. More importantly, in play, Children learn how to learn.

Smart Indian School celebrated the ‘Kindergarten Day’ virtually honouring the incredible man Friedrich Frobel
who started this ‘Children’s Garden’ over 200 years ago on 21 April 2021.


LKG kids were full of admiration for their teachers. They made beautiful flower crafts and thanked their
teachers. UKG kids made super cute bunny playing hide and seek. There was a splendid array of craftwork that

caused admiration and all the kids found joy in it and were with all smiles.

Hat!!!... an expression of the soul



Creative hat day, conducted by the kindergarten wing of Smart Indian School and Jack and Jill Preschool was
one such day. On November 25th, our tiny tots came
dressed in colorful outfits that coordinated well with their

artistically created hats, adorned proudly on their heads.
They enthusiastically explained the making of their hat,
the materials used in it and also recalled the fun time
they had with their parents in the process. The pride and

joy of our kiddies when displaying their hats was
unexplainable. They were excited and curious to know more
about their friend’s hats and couldn’t stop talking about it.

Friendship day:


Friendship is life, friendship is love, friendship is the beauty of our life, and it’s a best gift!

Kindergarten wing of Bhavans Smart Indian School and Jack and Jill Preschool celebrated friendship day on
11th November 2021. On this occasion our tiny tots enthusiastically made friendship cards and shared few lines
about their friends, after all Friendship Day is just an opportunity to let our friends know that we value their

presence in our life. They enjoyed watching songs and a short story on TRUE FRIENDSHIP.

Earth Day:
With lots of spirit, Kindergarten wing of Bhavans Smart Indian School and Jack & Jill organized the most
exciting and enlightening virtual Earth Day on 22 April 2021. LKG students had expressed their thoughts and
views artistically by coloring the Earth Day activity and represented Earth Day by wearing the bands on their

heads and it was a joyful moment to see all the UKG students participate enthusiastically by drawing and
coloring it attentively.



























Reopening Day:


Bhavans Smart Indian School started the on-campus classes as directed by the Ministry of Education on Sunday,

26 September 2021 after a long year-and-a-half online classes. Learners enjoy the loveliness of the on-campus
learning environment amid stringent health precautions in line with health regulations that have been monitored
by the Ministry of Health, Kuwait.

FRUIT SALAD DAY:



On 9th September 2021, Kindergarten children of Bhavans Smart Indian School and Jack and Jill Pre-School

celebrated Fruit Salad Day virtually. Children along with their teacher made fruit salad and sang the rhyme
with great zest and enthusiasm. They learned more about the taste, colour, and texture of each fruit. Children
relished their participation and understood the importance of eating fruits.





































Role Model Day:



Kindergarten children of Bhavans SIS and Jack and Jill celebrated the ‘Role Model Day’. Every child has a role
model in their life to admire and inspire them. A role model is someone who finds a way of motivating children to
set and achieve ambitious goal.

World Disability Day:


“When you focus on someone’s disability, you’ll overlook their abilities, beauty, and uniqueness”. On 2nd December

the tiny tots of Bhavans Smart Indian School and Jack and Jill Preschool celebrated the World Disability Day on a
hybrid platform.
































Ocean day:

Protect the ocean, to protect our future was the aim behind celebrating ‘Ocean Day’ on 9th December. Children were
then given an opportunity to make their own 2D aquarium with clay and the kids had understood the hazards of
pollution and thus proved that they would be responsible future global citizens.

Traditional day:

Traditional day was celebrated with great gusto and enthusiasm. Our tiny tots came dressed in their best
ethnic attires and spoke about the festivals celebrated in their state. The traditional dress day was observed
with incredible energy and eagerness.
