The lady smiled, took off my handcuffs and hugged me.
I hugged her back with my left hand. My other hand reached out for
the syringe. I only reached it by the tips of my finger and had to roll
it closer before I was able to grab it. My hands were shaking but
I firmly and quickly stabbed it into her arm. I pushed all the liquid
into her and pulled the syringe out. I knew what to do because
I have seen the people in white do it hundreds of times. She tried
to run to the door but collapsed right before my feet. I locked the
door and lifted the chair I was handcuffed to and banged it onto the
window. The sound of glass shattering echoed in my ears.
My adrenaline was rushing and I had to act fast. I searched her
purse, grabbed her wallet, and climbed out of the window. I tried
not to scream when the broken glass cut through my arms and
knees. My whole body ached and the pain I felt was unbearable.
After I reached the grassy ground, I ran as fast as I could even
though my hands and legs were bleeding profusely. I ran to the
fence, climbed across it and jumped down. I ran for a few minutes
and called a cab. I was going into town.
In the taxi, I saw a copy of a newspaper and asked the
driver for it. He sold it to me for a cheap price. I had to act as if
I were reading it but quietly and carefully used it to wipe the blood
of my limbs. My platelets had done their job. The wounds became
dry and my hands and knees nearly stopped bleeding.
I told the taxi driver to take me to a large mall. I went into
one pharmacy after another constantly running and panicking. The
purse provided me with more than enough money to buy anything

I wanted. After had taken care of everything, I ran to a motel near
the mall and booked a room. I mixed up all the drugs and took
them all at once. At first, my hands stopped shaking, which was
totally a good sign. After that, I decided to wrap bandages around
the cuts. I carefully wrapped the dressing around my knees.
But then, my hand started shaking again, and this time more
violently. I could not even wrap the dressing around my arm.
I could not breathe and tears began to run down my cheeks for the
second time. I knew my time has come and thought about the
astronauts again. I chose to be the third one. I think I have lived my
life.
What I had left was just my worthless body and my untamed
mind. My intellect, my conscience, and my rationality had all long
disappeared. I could feel my heart beating so fast like it was going
to jump right out of my chest. I closed my eyes and started to smile.
I wanted to be like the astronaut I had seen on TV. I slowly closed
my eyes and everything seemed to be alright after all.

Belle is my name
- Pandha (Belle) Chatdokmaiprai -
Belle, when we first met
curious eyes and naïve smiles
stranger at sight yet friends at heart
Belle, those days roaming
lands unreal yet
so vivid in our minds
Belle, how your little fingers clutches mine
with strength of a child
and will of the wild
Belle, how you light up my world
a beaming light
a little star in our constellation
Belle, o how your spirit shines
through seasons through moments
your wild innocence
never wavering never wane
Belle, those memories woven and spun
a lifetime long ago
but our friendship can never be weathered
we are timeless we constant
You are always my friend
You are always my Belle

O Friend!
- Abhipol (Dee) Vibhatasilapin -
So soon shall we depart.
Once a stranger sailing in the sea
The ocean we shared, the voyages we paired.
An eternal bond forged by delight and despair.
To all the seafaring expeditions we led,
To the surging seas and howling gales,
To all the glaciers of hindrance we surmounted,
To those, our friendship celebrated and cherished.
But here our fate shall not be terminated;
Our bonds will persist until we perish.
Today our paths may diverge,
But remember ,my friend, it is in our souls that we merge
When the tides of time wash away our vigor,
Contemplate in retrospect to the moments we had.
From now on, the depth of the blue will embrace you my lad.
When shall we meet? only heaven knows, but until then
Stay well my friend.

Odd Visitors
- Rachakorn (Fyn) Nabhindhakara -
Since we first roamed
it was plentiful
the fruits of the sea
the children of earth
the mirth of the air
the flare of flames
fated for forever
earth eden
no apple no devils
wholly human
wholly we
where we roam, earth spoils
where we swim, seas boil
where we burn, fire a turmoil
where we breathe, the air recoil
whence shall it end
eden restored
til then.

Everlasting Bond
- Rachakorn (Fyn) Nabhindhakara -
We are above the sky,
high across the stars.
None will ever come equal
to the circle of our love.
A unit to withstand storm,
a vessel to navigate the sea,
through tears, through laughter,
through life, through pain.
No love ever runs true
as the bond we share.
Our family our circle,
our connections that never end.

Lovefool
- Chada (Kabkam) Sukkitsompot -
Love is when I see his face
infatuation are his eyes
all thoughts vanished without a trace
no matter how I try
a lightning strike through me
igniting a bonfire
I’m his but also free
but my friends whisper liar
careful they say
that fire in you
will leave within days
lightnings do not strike true
but my heart cannot be tamed
for fire is what I want to feel
either it burns me to shame
to soot and dust til I reel
or so hot my heart ignites
til sadness burn away to ash
but I cannot care; the sight
of him makes my heart dashes

Men versus Machines
- Patarawut (New) Sritipsukho -
Machines may mark men’s minds their expiry
As they possess so much ability
That no men ever match in memory;
Neither in precision nor accuracy.
Why hire clerks, when machines can calculate.
Why need workers; machines better create.
Why use humans, machines do compensate.
Seems as this invention decides our fate.
But flaws exist amid their perfection;
Ask if they can beat men’s intuition.
Certainly machines do follow instructions,
Though what they do not have is passion.
To beat them is what men are now obsessed,
Until we realize: that is not progress.
Cooperate, not compete, is what’s best.
With men’s minds and machine’s marks, our dream’s limitless.

A school
- Kanik (Ping) Sritara -
I shall leave you soon
my sanctuary
my pitfalls
my safe haven
a palace full of memories
a den full of monsters
you taught me love
you brought me tears
where friends are made
where enemies are found
I shall leave you soon
a school for a school
a school from childhood,
to the school that is life

A Fire of Deception
- Poom (Poom) Plodmechai -
a fire rampages in me
not of passion
a cruel cunning flame
engulfs my ruined heart
like a cold burning prison
if love delights
then mine destroy
all hope I feed
is fuel runs foul
I am but a moth
and her a deceptive flame
til all that remains
is a carcass of soot
blackened ash no phoenix rises

Moonchild (rearranged version to fit 24 lines)
- Pornnapas (Pim) Rittiwut -
May I live with you
forever and ever? Or never forever?
Your immortality, my language of fear
let me hear a sweet subject beneath my ears
As I am your slave, take my lungs out
for you and you, who I cannot reach
or lay my eyes
upon your halo heavenly body.
Oh, how far I can go
fly away from your heart and escape this fear?
Plant a rose among a rugged terra of thy tenderness?
I dare not sow a seed and subside a sufferer
who once a blue moon bleeds out
and blood runs down.
Ache me away,
take this tranquil time
Sleep with my child, wake up with my wild.
Await the beauty for us to come.
Moonchild,
I dare not take your agony away
As I may break a perishable bond among us.
Let my allure comforts your soul
See everything goes beyond our eyes

Viewer
- Thanutchaya (Biw) Tresirikasem -
Captured by his beauty
the way his fingers glide
the sound from ivory keys
the music he takes pride
oh what a heavenly sound
the way his music tunes
beneath my chest, my heart loud
I feel as if I would swoon
and when he looks my way
time slows down
to the lord I pray
with him my heart is found

Retrospect
- Thanwarat (Earth) Kitimahakhun -
Passing faces when I saw you at first glance
Moving bodies as my heart stopped
but with them we began to dance.
Out of the blue
Oh! little do you know
How blue I am by the fact that-
stars are the only things we share
after that bleeding Saturday sun.
Days and days dazing in retrospection
Sighs after sighs
Footprints on soft snow
knee-deep the imprints you left on me
redundant
Yet why do I look for
traces of you
in everyone I encounter?

House of Cards
- Jiranadda (Lukpat) Chulaka -
1 So hard
To keep our love
To keep you stay with me
Like living in a house of cards,
5 It falls
So sad
That it’s too weak
You said you see the end,
And it’s useless, but I beg you
10 To stay
It’s ended
The house of cards
Cannot rebuild again
There’s no cards left, cause you leave me
15 You’re gone.

Afraid to fall
- Phuritchaya (Me-Mee) Chatkicharoen -
The world is large
Very much more to see and try
Things are waiting to be explored
That nightmare-like day cannot
Hold anybody too long
You are much more than what you think
Down there is not too scary, even if it’s not hard to fall
Are you afraid? Should not be though
Gonna tell you that time always passes by
Carry memories and experiences with
You are brave and have a heart of a lion
Up in the sky, the stars are waiting,
And they are more than grateful to guide you
Up high, as high as you want,
And the reality-like dream can be real
Up there, is where you are meant to be

Judgment of Honoured Soul
- Jitkeerati (Miu) Kulsomboon -
Virtues are speaking to the king of heaven
About new citizen that will join the sky.
Righteousness shall stand in a man’s truthful eyes
That’ll depict no lies to favour his honour.
The Sins are creeping, destroying pure vigour
And gone the ardour of one’s integrity.
As his soul withers, the Under has opened
The gate of omen, welcoming its new prey.
But Goodness objects, his defects will allay
As wrongs don’t portray this man’s actual desire.
Devils continue to pursue and conspire
But they turn spitfires when Merits stand steadfast.
Alas, the soul holds against cold-blooded Ghasts.
To bliss, shall he cast lights on his Honoured Soul.

HELLO
- Tanyapat (Plern) Chaiseri -
Hello.
A common word,
been used so often that
it seems to deliver nothing
at all.
But hello,
I said to the girl behind the glass
with dancing dimples and soaring smiles:
Can I get a ticket to anywhere please?
She laughs.
It seems,
seems like the ticket was misprinted;
because when I got off,
it seems like I got nowhere,
not anywhere.
So hello,
I said on the same spot.
Tap tap; on that veil of glass.
But where's the glass? Never mind,
for now I see her, clearer than glass;
clear as she is.
And hello,
I spoke through the frizzly static of the phone.
If you don’t mind,
let’s say hello in person tonight?
Okay.
Hello,
I said on a Tuesday
when we marched exactly five rounds round the sun.
I want to say hello to you every morning til morning is no more.
Do you?
. . .
Hello.
A common word,
delivered something not quite common;
extraordinary in fact:
You.

indefinite
- Arpitchanand (Tam) Tipayanond -
we are the sky
that shines
we are music
a lullaby long sung
we are the sea
that spans across horizons
we are a story
whispered through time
we are the truth made of lies
we are monsters wild and sublime
we craft wings that let us fly
sometimes pin us to the sky
a fire of sea breeze
a stellar catastrophe
a catalyst of dreams
a constellation unseen
our love crafted from starlight
we are time

Friend/dneirF
- Worajate (Will) Wilaiwongsa -
Looking into the mirror who I see
Frienemy, it said to me
Beguile who you are, in the shape of a dear friend
Yet you are
Trying to unfriend
Confuse and confound I would am
Asked the reflecting shard;
Friend you not? I demand thee answer
Forbidden friendship: state you enter
One path at time, no two
One, friend be not, leap through and gamble
Two, be still, remain same
For forever thou might live in shame
Crying insider, invisible door asunder
Tears dries upon mine eyes
One key lies to the unknown path
Remain forever friend shall I depart
Lover care not,
Care what is her presence
Confess I won't, shut the door chained
For my friend will remain same, please not go vain
The mirror shattered
I would remain forever, frozen with flaming wounds
Better than not, losing thou as my friend
