Adrianna Andrews
Music Liberal Arts Kansas City, MO
Activities included Xavier’s Symphonic Band, String Ensemble, Contemporary Ensemble, and the University Chorus.
I attended Xavier because it is a small campus with small classes, one of the top ten HBCU’s and it has the New Orleans “ avor.”
My future plans are to concentrate on my music career as a professional violinist
My most memorable time at Xavier was living in St. Katharine Drexel hall, singing on the Xavier University CD and going on tour with the University Chorus.

Louisiana Association of Educators’ Student Programs (LAE/SP), University Hearing Committee (Student Representative) Drexel Center Saturday Academy, Rhodes, Yearbook Photo & Managing Editor).
I attended Xavier as a result of being accepted in 1995 to attend a Creative Writing Workshop and the faculty for the English department were wonderful. Along with the family unity in the Division of Educa- tion, which allowed me to realize this is where I needed to be. You can say in a sense that I was lead here for a purpose.
I plan to get my Masters in Education. Afterwards, go into teaching and eventually get my doctorate degree. I also want to establish a non-pro t organization that houses unique pro- grams to increase more females in math, science and technology and send more males into the eld of elementary education.
My most memorable time at Xavier was when the students from Wa- ters Elementary School came to LAE/SP’s banquet and sang a beautiful song about how much they loved Xavier and the Division of Education for helping them out.

Some say they are sick of hearing about Katrina—those of us who survived, who were trapped in the city for that horren- dous week have a different out look. Hurricane Katrina took all the portraits, the old yearbook of ce, and a thousand plus lives.
The 2002-2003 book was waiting for the printer to pick-up on Monday, August 29, 2005. However Hurricane Katrina came to town on Sunday, August 28 and the rest is our history.
Thank you to the seniors who took the time to ll out the questionnaire.
Thanks to the editors who scanned the event negatives and backed them
up them on the CD’s.
Thanks to André Farve (XU 1984) and myself the yearbook coordinator, Veronica Farve (XU 1978 & 1981) for going into the old yearbook of ce and retrieving the CD’s and DVD’s (in October, 2005... oops we were not authorized to be here on campus & the of ce did not re-open until June 2006). But we came back several times. We cleaned the CD’s and were able to save the copy from the senior quotes, so we hope you enjoy the personal comments.
