About us
Mega Heaters (Pvt) Ltd today is a far above from our humble beginnings in the later 70's. Our business focus has expanded dramatically from initially being only a manufacture of immersion water heaters for the consumer market to design- ing systems for both the industrial and commercial markets and finally grown to become the industry leader in design, manufacture of immersion water heaters, industrial heating elements & thermocouple sensors.

INTRODUCTION OF HEATING ELEMENTS
A typical heating element is usually a coil, ribbon (straight or corrugated), or strip of wire that gives off heat much like a lamp filament. When an electric current flows through it, it glows red hot and converts the electrical energy passing through it into heat, which it radiates out in all directions.
There are lots of different kinds of heat- ing elements. Sometimes the nichrome is used bare, as it is; other times it's embed- ded in a ceramic material to make it more robust and durable (ceramics are great at coping with high temperatures and don't mind lots of heating and cooling). The size and shape of a heating element is largely governed by the dimensions of the appliance it has to fit inside and the area over which it needs to produce heat.

MOUNTING COMPONENTS
When an individual heating element does not provide the required power, heating units made of several heaters may be used. Individual heaters are connected into a single head, flange or plate to ensure functionality, convenience and present ability. Our broad range of standard fasteners caters. For all customer requirements, and if non-standard parameters are required, we produce them according to individual orders.

The most common method of applying heat to tank or vessel contents without limiting work area are:

Screw in Type Heaters
Screws in heaters are suitable for small and medium sized containers. The tubular elements are brazed or welded into a BSP bush and a terminal housing is provided for electrical connections.

DOMESTIC IMMERSION WATER HEATERS
An immersion heater is an electric water heater that sits inside a hot-water cylinder. It acts a bit like a kettle, using an electric resistance heater (which looks like a metal loop or coil) to heat the surrounding water.
KETTLE ELEMENTS
Electric kettles are mainly made of steel, iron,
aluminum ore a combination of metals as well as
plastics. For the housing of a metal kettle, high
grade steels are usually used. Low density polyeth-
ylene (LDPE), polypropylene (PP), or polystyrene
(PS) are all heat resistant plastics, that incorporate
the upper housing of kettles in some models with a metal enclosure on the bases, that contains the heating elements.
INDUSTRIAL AIR HEATERS
Industrial oil & gas heaters are fabricated from different tubing such as stainless steel, copper, Incoloy brazed to mild steel or stainless steel flanges. Applications: heating fuel oils, and in oil circulating pre-heaters, heat exchangers and similar equipment.

DUCT HEATERS
Electric heating coils (duct heaters) are constructed of electric resistance heating elements, which are placed in the airstream (of an upstream air handling unit). When an element is given power, it heats up and glows. The heat from the element is transferred to the air passing over it.
Industrial Oil Heater Electric Heating Low Watt Density. Mega Heaters specializes in the design and manufacture of low watt density electric heating for industrial oils. The elec- tric heating coils are mounted inside heating tubes. The coils heat the air in the tube which uniformly heats the tube walls.
Industrial Gas Heater, Commercial Heating with LPG Gas. LPG Gas is an extremely efficient method of Commercial Heating, with little energy loss from its production or use. You simply turn it on and it flows at a temperature you can control almost instantaneously.

BAND HEATERS
A Band heater – also called drum heater is used to reduce viscosity of liquids and gels by heating in order to fill, pump or bottle the respective liquid or to prevent liquids from freezing inside the drum. Which allow maximum temperature ratings and faster heat pene-
tration into the barrel.
There are two types of Band heaters: • Ceramic Band Heaters
• Mica Band Heaters
CERAMIC BAND HEATERS
Band heaters are constructed with a stainless steel should enclosing high quality ceramic knuckles through which run coiled high temperature nickel-chromium element wire. Itʼs integrating a layer of thermal insulation that reduces ambient heat loss and reduces power consumption.
MICA BAND HEATERS
Mica Band Heaters are our most widely used band heater because of their versatile design and rugged construction characteristics. Mica Bands have sheath temperature capabilities up to 800°F (425°C). Mica Bands are commonly used in Plastics Injection Molding, Extru- sion, Blow Molding applications as well as in Commercial Cooking, Dies and Electric Motors.
NOZZLE ELEMENTS
Small size Nozzle Band heaters commonly used on plastics injection molding machines to our robust, high temperature HBT Tubular Heating Element band used on large industrial cylinder applications, such as Fluid Reactor Beds, Chromalox has the right Band Heater solution for any cylindrical heating application.

Tubular heating elements perform exceptional heat transfer by conduction, convection or radiation to heat liquids, air, gases and surfaces. In most heater assemblies, tubular element design configurations vary — round, triangular, flat press and formed.

CARTRIDGE HEATERS
Cartridge heaters are high-density heating cells that have their nickel chrome heating cores positioned internally as close as possible to the outside shell. These heaters can with- stand tough industrial usage; they can transmit up to 200 watts/in2 heating capacity and are able to attain up to 1500°F sheath temperature.
BOILER ELEMENTS
Boiler Elements are come in a variety of different flange sizes and lengths. The two common models are rounded flanges and square flanges. The length of the boiler heater is highly correlated to the length that is available within your boiler. If all the major varia- bles are known as (i.e. Wattage, Voltage, Length and Flange size).

An oven element is a simple part that is easy to replace in most ovens and electric ranges. Ovens typically have two elements: one at the top for broiling, and one at the bottom for baking. CERAMIC HEATERS
A ceramic heater as a consumer product is a space heater that generates heat using a heat- ing element of PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) ceramic. Ceramic heaters are usually portable and typically used for heating a room or small office, and are similar to metal-ele-
ment fan heaters.
There are two types of ceramic heaters: • Ceramic Air Heaters
• Ceramic Pad Heaters
CERAMIC AIR HEATERS
Ceramic air heater is also used for non-industrial heating applications (like comfort heat- ing). In a quartz air heater, the resistance wire is mounted into a glass (quartz) tube, while a ceramic air heater is a resistance wire embedded into layers of ceramic fiber insulation.

FCP – Flexible Ceramic Pad Heaters. Our high quality ceramic heating elements are manu- factured from high grade nickel-chrome (NiCr) 80/20 19 Stranded resistance wire which runs through durable aluminum oxide ceramics beads.
TUBULAR INFRARED HEATERS
Infrared industrial heating products use tubular heaters that reach high temperatures and radiate sufficient heat from overhead. Infrared heater elements are also used in the food industry to maintain food at target temperatures for periods of time. It comes in many differ- ent lengths and sizes and is an excellent choice for outdoor applications.
Ceramic infrared heat elements are efficient, robust heaters which provide long wave infra- red radiation. The ceramic heaters and infrared heaters are used in a diverse range of industrial and engineering applications such as thermoforming heaters.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE HEATERS
The chemical resistance depends on various parameters, the temperature and the process- ing method. It is recommended that the heater is used with an RCD for safety reasons. Mostly nickel-based, and designed for excellent corrosion resistance as well as strength at high temperatures; there are specific alloys for resistance to particular chemical attacks. As stainless steel and copper pipes can be coated for chemical and heat resistance, the sheath heater can be applied to various areas.
Electrical current flows through the heating element and generates heat. This type of resist- ance heater is responsible for creating the high temperatures in the furnace. Our compo- nents made from molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum, niobium and their alloys are perfectly designed for this task.
HEAT TRACING
It's used for a pipe freeze protection application. Electric heat tracing, heat tape or surface heating, is a system used to maintain or raise the temperature of pipes and vessels. Trace heating takes the form of an electrical heating element run in physical contact along the length of a pipe.

THERMOSTATS
A thermostat the device that automatically controls heating or cooling equipment in such a way as to maintain a temperature at a constant level or within a specified range, gener- ally using a thermometer capable of triggering electrical switches that activate or deacti- vate the equipment.
DIGITAL THERMOMETERS & TEMPERATURE CONTROLLERS
Controller in a temperature control system will accept a temperature sensor such as a thermocouple or RTD as input and compare the actual temperature to the desired control temperature, or set point. It will then provide an output to a control element.

POWER REGULATORS
A power Regulator is designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level. A voltage regulator may be a simple "feed-forward" design or may include negative feed- back control loops. SOLID STATE RELAYS (SSR)
A Solid state relay (SSR) is an electronic switching device that switches on or off when a small external voltage is applied across its control terminals.
