What drew you towards Avila College?

“I chose Avila because I’m a strong believer in girls’
education. I saw there was a strong focus here on building
a girl’s capacity to be successful in the future and it really
appealed to me”.

As Ms Eekelschot researched Avila College she learned
more about our patron saint, St Teresa and Nano Nagle,
and their beliefs resonated strongly.

“Nano Nagle, her story and the way she worked to
empower and educate girls and St Teresa of Avila’s
commitment to prayer and a prayerful life really appealed
to me. Their legacy gives an indication of the culture and
values of the College. They really aligned with what I felt
and can hopefully contribute to students”.
