Established in 2003, Taffard Fabrics is an
independent, family owned company headquartered

in New York City. Taffard Fabrics designs,
manufactures and distributes fine fabrics for
residential and commercial use. Although their roots
are in taffetas and jacquards (thus their name),
they have expanded to include embroideries, plaids
and stripes, linens, cottons, velvets, Trevira, sheers,
prints and other textiles. Their team is constantly

driving innovation with their products
and inspirational designs.

Dedicated to creating beauty and changing lives
The Alpha Workshops is the nation’s only nonprofit
organization providing decorative arts education and
employment to at-risk youths and adults with disabilities
or other vulnerabilities. It was founded in 1995 in the
Chelsea area of Manhattan and modeled on the famed
Omega Workshops, the Wiener Werkstätte, the Bauhaus,

and the American Arts & Crafts movement.

The Studios offer a full spectrum of decorative arts
services to interior designers and architects, including

traditional custom decorative paint and plaster
finishes, gilding, and on-site art installations.

The Alpha Workshops proudly serves the LGBTQ, HIV+/
AIDS, and ASD communities of New York City and beyond.
