The Broken Tree House

It all started in a wonderful small neighborhood with two boys. Their names were Felix 

and James. They were best friends and did everything together.  The problem was that their 

fathers hated each other. Felix’s father was called Billy and James’ father was called John. They 

never liked each other,  since they were kids. Billy and John were the complete opposite of Felix 

and James.  

One time there was a camping trip to meet both families for the first time. It ended in a 

huge disaster. Both fathers complained nonstop. “Why do I have to go with him.” complained 

Billy. 

“Not my Fault!” John shouted.   

“Stop shouting!” Bill shouted back. 

“Fine!” John screamed back. They had this argument for the whole trip that  made it 

completely boring. It was so boring that probably the whole universe got bored at that moment. 

Two months later, James wanted to build a treehouse with Felix at his house, but when he asked 

his father. John replied “No, you are not allowing that man's son to build a treehouse in my 

backyard”.  

“Why?” questioned James.   

“Because I said so.” John says while trying to hide his anger. 

“Fine then!!!” screamed James.

The next day, James told Felix about what happened and that he wanted to build a 
treehouse together. “Sure,” Felix replies cheerfully, “but how are we supposed to build the 
treehouse when your father won’t let me?” 

“We will sneak in!” exclaimed James. 
“Ok, That sounds like fun.” said Felix. 
The next morning, James sneaked Felix into his backyard at around 3:00 am. After they 
made sure James’ parents were sleeping then started building. Once they were almost done, Felix 
needed to hammer a nail in the door. 
“James?” asked Felix. 
“Yes, Felix.” James said. 
“How do you hammer a nail?” replied Felix 
James kindly answered “Wait there I will show you.” 
James started to climb the tree slowly, while Felix kept trying to hammer the nail in. On 
the third time Felix tried to hammer the nail the hammer slipped out of his hands. It hit James 
knocked him of the tree while almost knocking him out as well. It is kinda funny if it was in a 
cartoon, but it wasn’t. It was in real life. 
“Are you okay James?” Felix said panicking. 
“I am so sorry.” 
“It is okay” James whispered quietly. 
Felix softly replied “I will call the ambulance, wait there.”  
It’s funny how Felix said wait there because James cannot really move and he said wait 
there. James was also laughing while he heard that. The ambulance finally came to the backyard.

It was like one to two hours and people say ambulances were suppose to be fast. James got into 
the ambulance.  

“Will you be okay?” asked Felix. 
“Maybe, I think, sure?” questioned James. 
“Just belive I will.” James replied in a soft voice. 
Now this is where you think all the emotional things come in. Just to tell you, that is 
wrong. James was in the ambulance driving to the hospital. Felix regretted not being able to use 
a hammer or none of this would have ever happened. Felix was sad ever since. He always hoped 
James will be okay. Until four months later, James was back to health.  
“James, you are okay!” shouted Felix. 
“Yeah.” James said relived. 
They played until it was dark. They were both happy and glad. The treehouse was still 
there and almost done. After that Felix and James lived happily ever after. If you think that is the 
end.
