Study
abroad

Would you like to see God use your study
abroad experience to help grow His
Kingdom? You’re right to think missionally
about studying abroad, because you’ll be
present in the country longer than most
short-term mission trip teams.

Nationals often seek out American
students to be friends. At a number
of overseas campuses, experienced
Navigators, either missionaries or local
people, can guide you in how discipleship
looks in your adopted school home.

You’d engage
with a Navigator

who could connect with you and—as studies
allow—remain connected to help you:

■ walk with God
■ make the most of your studies
■ engage in campus life
■ allow Christ to shine through you internationally

Communities in
poverty (Discipling for
Development/D4D)

Instead of doing things for communities mired in poverty, do you want to work with them
to help them experience the Good News?

The Navigators World Missions pathway of Discipling for Development (D4D) helps you
work with people in communities to experience God’s transformation in all areas of life:

■ New identity in Christ
■ Restored and active relationship with God
■ Healthier bonds with family and friends
18 ■ Godly stewardship of resources leading to better living conditions, sufficient

food, and economic hope

D4D can guide you as you form a
biblical view of poverty, practice
whole-life discipleship, and pass on
what you’ve learned to others. From
online courses to long-term service,
trained D4D leaders can help you
work alongside people gripped by
poverty and see transformation
lived out in community.

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to

proclaim good news to the poor (Luke 4:18).

– Jesus 19
