AS YOU
FOLLOW HIM

BRING
OTHERS
ON THE
JOURNEY

TheNavigators
story begins in 1933 with Dawson Trotman, a
young man whose passion was teaching
the principles of discipleship “to reliable
men who will also be qualified to teach
others”. 2 Timothy 2:2

“And the things you have heard me say in the
presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable
people who will also be qualified to teach others.”

When a sailor Daws was discipling asked
him to help a shipmate grow, Daws
responded, “You teach him!” The two new
disciples met with others, who met with
others, and eventually 125 men on their ship
were following Jesus. By 1945, thousands of
sailors around the world were involved.

As those sailors returned to civilian life, the

Navigator vision of Life-to-Life® discipleship

spread to college campuses, churches,

neighborhoods, and beyond. In 1949, The

Navigators first overseas missionary left for

China; Navigators now serve in more than

2 100 countries. Dawson’s mission lives on:
To know Christ, make Him known, and

help others do the same®.

NEVER DO ANYTHING SOMEONE ELSE CAN OR
WILL DO WHEN THERE IS SO MUCH OTHERS
CANNOT OR WILL NOT DO.

LIFE-TO-LIFE®
DISCIPLESHIP

Navigators come alongside as you grow in your relationship with Jesus.

We teach and encourage you to bring the gospel to others and show you

how to establish new believers in their faith. Then we equip you to teach

them how to repeat this process with others. 2 Timothy 2:2

We call this
building spiritual generations
of Christ followers.

Rooted in the Scriptures, we live and disciple among the lost.
