Communication between employer and
employee are important

Able to collaborate as a team
Communicate effectively
Maintain a positive attitude
Try to overachieve the goals of the workplace
Discipline yourself
Sense of professionalism
Willing to learn
Enthusiasm and Attitude
∗ Employers look for employees with good
enthusiasm
∗ Employees they believe that will complete
tasks happy
∗ New employees will smile and work hard
∗ Positive attitude helps employees go
above and beyond
∗ They will respond to constructive criticism
maturely
∗ They want to work hard and get the job

Teamwork is essential to workplace success

∗ Talking to your friends and family about your
goals
∗ Most people learn about jobs through friends and
family
∗ Networking is rarely taught but should be

∗ Each person in their network has their own
network
∗ Networking happens every time you participate
in something
