Five Fingers make a fist

Between two Hills, there was a beautiful pond. There lived in a pond,

Some fishes and a frog. The frog and the fish were good friends.
One day two fishermen passed by the pond.

They saw that the pond was full of fishes. They were glad.

One fisherman said - "Brother, let's bring the net and catch these fishes"

The Frog heard them.

He was scared.

The frog went to the fishes.
He said, "Friends, we are in danger."

Let's find a way to save ourselves."

“Five fingers make a fist."

The Fishes laughed at the frog.

“You are coward and a fool",
They said.

They went along enjoying life.

The next day, the fishermen came back.

They put their net into the pond.

The fishes were not prepared.

They were all caught.
The frog saw this and jumped into the pond.

He saw the fishes struggling.

Fish said, "He said Swim down. Swim down together!"

All the fishes swam down together.

The net was also pulled down with them.
Losing their net, the fisherman went away.

The fishes were free again.

They had learnt the lesson -'There is strength in unity.'

LIGHT OF HOPE

The sun finds fence on its ways,

But never to stop its rays.

And keeps giving light of hope to other,

To make them happy and prosper.

Why do we become grim?

At some small struggling.

Come and join hands together,

Think a while and remember,

Life is full of everything,

If there is winter,

No chance to skip of spring.

He searched for food everywhere and at last he found a bone.

Nobody's going to school anymore,
No child playing in the park,

Nobody's even opening the door,
Except for grocery or stock.

We used to giggle and play,
On our swings and slide,

Now, we are caged in our homes,

As corona gambols outside.
We can't go to malls,

Nor can we go to waterfalls,
Because this virus is a scaring,

Wear your mask, be wise.
After coming home, sanitize,

MY VISIT TO A HISTORICAL PLACE – RED FORT

Five years ago, when I was five year old. Me and my family

went to Delhi for visiting the historical places like – Red Fort,

India Gate, Qutub Minar, Shahi Jama Masjid, Humayun’s

Tomb, etc. First, we went to the Red Fort also called Lal
Quila a monument built in 1638 that rises 33 meters (108 ft)

above old Delhi. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah

Jahan. The fort is located in what is now the centre of Delhi,

India. Delhi’s famous Red Fort is known by that name

because of the red stone which it is made of.

th
Luckily, we went there on 15 of August, Independence Day.
It was very crowded. The fort was decorated very beautifully

with the tricolour flags and garlands with tricolour deep

saffron, white and dark green respectively. I was really feeling
very happy. Then, I saw some people doing parade. After that

we went to Meena Bazar, Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Moti

Masjid, Historical Museum, etc. It was a very entertaining as

well as informative trip.

“The Trees”

Trees have always been a source of inspiration for people

around the world. From the tiny glimmer of hope signified

by a tiny sprout in the ground, to the resilient mighty oak

standing alone after a storm, trees not only grow with us,

but can often stay standing when we become nothing but a

memory etched into their bark. One person can look at a

tree and see life; another sees death. Where one person

sees strength, another sees vulnerability. Trees give us life,

and their influence on us is never more apparent than in

poetry.

Our Environment

Our mother earth provides us with almost all our requirements.

We should save our planet earth to ensure that our future

generations get a safe environment to live. We can save our

planet earth by saving trees, natural vegetation, natural

resources, water and electricity. We should take measures for

controlling environmental pollution and global warming. We

should plant new trees. We should support the schemes like

afforestation and reforestation whole-heartedly. We should use

less paper. We can make arrangement for recycling of used

paper and other natural products. Plants and trees cover and

hold the surface of the earth.

Water is life. It is basic necessity of every human being living

on this planet. We can stop throwing wastes into open water
bodies. At home, we can use water cautiously and ensure that

it doesn’t get wasted. Remember a large number of people are

still deprived of safe and pure water. If there will be no water
and no trees on earth, we will not be able to live. So we should

spread awareness in our society to ensure that we should care
about trees and save water.

EACH DAY IS A CHANCE.

Each day we wake up,

We have another chance.
We could just keep on moving,
Or we could decide to dance.

Dance as if you are alone,
And no one will ever see,
As this is your chance,
To see what you could be.

Remind yourself you are someone,
Someone who is grand.
Believe you can do anything,
Get up and take a stand.

Looking back is never good.

Drilling holes in the gift of God,

Willing to be the greatest of all,

But forget the mighty creator; who might give man a call,

The builder of this lovely nature i.e. a bliss of smile,

Creating all the chaos in the world,

And putting their own mistakes to other’s head,

This is how man works with devastating greed,

Making all things done good or bad,

Without fear of God the mighty lord,

This land is a symbol of love and peace,

And should be loved and cared,

But unfortunately coloured with shades of blood,

Due to Man’s fight in tooth and claw.

ONLINE LEARNING V OFFLINE LEARNING
S

The year 2020, has changed the normal course of life of the whole world. This year has
brought a lot of positive as well as negative change in our life. The line “WORK FROM
HOME” makes everything online.

The COVID-19 Pandemic has forced educational institutions worldwide to adopt online
mode of teaching in a bid to ensure that learning continues unhindered. While the
transition from offline to online learning has been a forced one, necessitated by the virus, it
does herald a change in the current system of education, thereby proving to be a huge
opportunity to restructure the current methodology of teaching and learning.

As technology has developed, so too has the way we learn new skills. Thanks to the
internet, those interested in boosting their knowledge and skills now have a wide range of

options open to them.

The main difference between online and offline learning is location. With offline learning,
participants are required to travel to the training location, typically a lecture hall, college
or classroom. With online learning, on the other hand, the training can be conducted from
practically anywhere in the world. Participants simply need to log on internet form their
homes, work or even their local coffee shop.

Another difference is the flexibility offered. Online learning usually has a more flexible
timescale. As a trainer, you can offer your support via email or through an online chat
system.

With offline learning, it’s easier to ensure attendees are paying attention to the training.

Online learning saves time, money and energy spent on commuting long distances.

Although online learning has become the preferred method for the majority of learners, it’s
important not to dismiss the benefits of offline training too.

Both of the teaching systems have some advantages and disadvantages.

But, the feeling which was experienced by the learning environment of offline learning is
far better than any other form of learning.

It’s warm, snuggly beds.

It’s silver snowflakes.

It’s skating on lakes.

It’s blue jays that feed.

On sunflower seed.

It’s angel that pose,

In winter time clothes.

It’s a polka dot sky.

It’s winter. That’s why……

I Love Winter…

Here we play and here we eat

Here we enjoy and often sit

Then why to leave this ground

Dirty and full of garbage.

We miss this ground,

When not allowed to move out,

On the ground and have our Tiffin,

And fun around.

We forget that the ground,

Is a part of our school?

We should keep it neat and tidy,

So, lets us throw all litter into bins,

And keep the ground spic and clean.

So that when we come here again,

We find a clean place to sit and enjoy.

Diversity and Discrimination

Diversity refers to the ways that we all are different from one another. Some

differences can be our gender, sexuality, ethnicity, culture, religion, spirituality,
family, social standing, age, body size, and ability. We believe diversity i.e. all the

things that make us different; should be appreciated and celebrated! Loving
differences starts with being curious and open-minded when someone seems

different from us.
Discrimination is a wrong attitude towards each other because it refers to the

untouchability, unacceptability. We should not practice discrimination because
everyone has one’s own rights to do anything one wishes. if not encroaching anyone

else’s rights. We should not discriminate among people on the basis of their sex,
religion, and the place of birth. All the persons have their fundamental rights to

move freely to any other place within the country or to choose his/her profession.
We should also not discriminate anyone due to their handicap. Dr. Om Prakash

Valmiki has written in his book titled Juthan.

“दलित जीवन की पीड़ाएँ असहनीय ह।ऐस अनुभव जो स़ाहहत्यक अलभव्यक्ततयों में स्थ़ान
ैं
नह ीं प़ा सक।एक ऐसी सम़ाज व्यवस्थ़ा में हमने स़ास ि हैं,जो बेहद क्र ू र और अम़ानवीय ह।

ें
If we talk about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar he was a Dalit, but he is known as the architect
of the Indian constitution.

He was an Indian jurist, an economist, a politician and a social reformer and more
than anything else. He was the saviour for the Dalit Movement in India and was the
face of the campaign against social stigma and discrimination towards the

untouchables in India.

Untouchable"—people tainted by their birth into a caste system that deems them
impure, less than human. We have to learn a lesson that no person is authorised to
discriminate.

Tell your mind to calm down,
These are just 21 days lockdown.

Call it a 'Me-time'
And prepare a ground to cross skyline.

Tell your mind and heart,
to stay inside the house.

Hear your internal voice,
And come on now pen it down.

This time give time to your body and brain
Do exercise, dance and play mind games.

It will give you better ways to sustain.
And develop your heart and mind like a refrain.

Remember you are not alone,
Give this precious time to your family-

As caterpillar does with cocoon evenly,
Because lost time will never be found again.

Consider this time as a gift of lord,
And learn new skills to be a pro.

Forward these teachings to your,
Family, friends, relatives and bro.

Now it's a time to do,
The things you let go.

Because I know you are meant to grow.
And it would bag you achievements in a row.

FACTS ABOUT GEORGE CASTLE

George Castle

Deep inside the Madhav National Park, at its highest point, stands the exquisite
George Castle at a height of 484 m (1597 feet) from the sea level. This castle was

built in 1911 by Jivaji Rao Scindia, the then ruler of Gwalior for an overnight halt
of King George V of England, who was to visit the forest for a tiger shoot. Tourists
have a breathtaking view of lakes and a panoramic view of the Kardhai forests
from here. Within the sanctuary, you’ll find George Castle, a dwarf two-storey

structure built by Maharaja Jivaji Rao Scindia as a hunting lodge to
commemorate a visit by King George V on a shooting expedition. It so happened
that he managed to kill a tiger on the way and had no need to come here. It is no
more than a desolate building; but because it’s built on the highest point of the

park, it permits views all across the tree cover families of Nilgai, though there are
also chinkara, sambar, chowsingha and blackbuck. The leopard is the carnivore
highest in the food chain here but the nocturnal animal is difficult to sight. Wild

dogs can be sometimes seen in packs along the banks of the Sakhya Sagar. Wild
pig, jackal and jungle cat are also represented. There are large cages with tigers
and leopards in captivity. In fact, many tiger stories stalk these woods, like ghosts
unable to abandon their worldly abodes. In 1911 during King V’s visit to India
the Scindia ruler Madho Rao Scindia built a castle in the Madhav National Park

for his royal guest’s night halt during tiger shoot.

THE MAN OF SYMPATHY

Once upon a time, there was a residence, named as Starline Colony. That

colony consisted of people. Now you might be thinking that it is obvious
for a dwelling place to have people. But people in that colony were

discriminating against others. They at first were to see other’s standard
and then only they would choose to talk anyone else. They didn’t like

poor people. And never had respected them too. They used to show their

standard to the poor people. They used to live in their own ego. In that
colony, some workers were appointed to keep the streets clean. The

workers used to suffer due to the behavior of the residents. And there
were strict instruction made by the people that the workers families

could not live in that colony and also the workers won’t be allowed to
live here. The poor always had to listen demeaning words from the

colony’s residents. There was an old man whose duty was to sweep the

roads. He was a wise person. But yet, nobody felt good to talk to him
because of their ego. The people used to scold him unnecessarily and

tried to humiliate him. But the old man including workers, just smiled
and started working. Their salary was around 400-450 rupees per

month. One night, around 12:30 pm.

The old man noticed some weird sound coming from the gate. He went

there and saw some thieves searching for their loot. Luckily the old man
saw them. He silently called the police. But he thought that there was

not much time to wait for the police. The thieves were rushing towards

the house. In that colony, near every house, there was a pit to bury
biodegradable things. The old man cleverly opened the pit and when the

thieves came around the pit, he pushed them in the pit and threw a
bucket full of water in them so that they can’t climb up. And police also

reached there and saluted the old man for his wisdom. Then the
residents also felt sorry for their nature and confessed their mistake in

front of him. Then the secretory not only gave them the permission to

live in the colony, but also gave all facilities to them. Then all lived
happily. So the moral is “to be equal to everyone and never

discriminate.”

Book Review

Wings Of Fire

The book Wings of Fire, the autobiography of A P J Abdul Kalam constitutes an extraordinary
reading for all ages. There is something that everybody can extract from this book. In this book,

the authors tell us the story of a young Muslim boy who has big dreams about his future and what
inspires him to become an eminent scientist. This real story tells us the role of family, relatives
and friends in helping a person in achieving his goals. Apart from the very indicative title, the
chapters of the book are also touching –orientation, creation, propitiation, and contemplation.

Orientation contains 32 years of his early life – days as a child, going through adolescence and

getting into rocketry. His description of the people, who shaped his life, interweaving religion and
education, is a charming part of the book that almost nobody would miss reading.

Chapter 2 entitled ‘Creation’ describing the next seventeen years till 1980 covers his struggle at
ISRO going from one-engineer-amongst-many to the successful project director of SLV bringing
pride to the nation through the technological achievement of putting a satellite in theorbit.
The next ten years are set out in chapter 3. These constitute the outstanding accomplishments at
DRDL. The way he transformed the laboratory from one which had a weak heart with little

confidence to one which felt a sense of strong self-esteem and could feel proud by contributing
developed missile systems to the services, is a remarkable saga.

The last chapter entitled ‘Contemplation’ contains a condensation of ideas and thoughts arising
out of his colourful life, the awards that he received (the highest honour, namely Bharata Ratna
that he received does not find a mention in this book) and some messages for the future
generation.
