VIDYALAYA ANNUAL REPORT 2017-18


The annual report flaunts the achievements and glorious laurel of our institution

and provides an insight into the progress and development made by it, while at
the same time, seeking to keep a critical outlook on ever changing, dynamic

educational initiative.

Our school has carved a niche for itself among the galaxy of school in the tour,

always stirring for better and best. Inspite of it, not basking in the glory of our
achievements, we look ahead for setting up higher standards and benchmarks of

success


ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Master Amar Upadhyaya and Master Sumit Raghuwanshi of STD XII Science

bought laurels to the Vidyalaya by standing among the 1.5% meritorious students
of KVS who appeared in CBSE STD XII exam in 2019 and were awarded cash prize

of Rs. 10,000.

Ms. Muskan Sharma honoured the school by scoring 94%, Muskan Sharma scored

91.8 % and Vartika Kushwah scored 91% in class X.

Master Amar Upadhyay cleared UPSC NDA 2019 and has been recommended for

the Fighter Pilot and Flying Officer bagging All India Rank 219 .


Miss Trisha Jain Qualified for CLAT examination and has joined NLU at Nagpur.

Master Divyanshu Gupta has qualified NEET and is a budding Medical student of

Sagar Medical College.


Master Rishi Senger and Master Avneet Jain are pursuing engineering from NIIT
Bhopal.


CO-SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES

Co-Scholastic activities facilitate in the development of various domains of mind

and personality such as intellectual development, emotional development, social
development, moral development and aesthetic development. Our vidyalaya

conducted many co-curricular activities, aiming at these facets of personality

development.Many competitions like quiz competitions, hindi and English
calligraphy, English extempore, solo song, house board decorations, class room

decoration, group song, painting competition, group dance, hindi kavyapath,
English poem recitation, English short story telling, poster making, Solo dance,

English Debate competition, Rangoli making, best out of Waste, exhibition, slogan
writing, drawing, skit, collage making, mehandi etc were conducted in the session
with great enthusiasm.


Many such activities were organized in the primary sections like solo song

competition, rangoli making, group dance, English calligraphy, diya making, rakhi
making, group song, fancy dress competition etc, to boost the creativity of the our

tiny-tots.

CALENDER ACTIVITIES


The session 2018-19 began with observation of ‘Tarunotsav’ in the month of April,

for budding teenagers of class XI to bridge the gap of transition from secondary to
senior secondary level of education, to release burden of students in academic as
well as educational front.


In the month of May under Safety and Security programme a mock drill was

organized for students.

‘Health is Wealth‘ Yoga day was observed on 21 June 2018 after a fornight long
camp of Yoga in the Vidyalaya.

The month of July the Vidyalayaformed the Student council with observation of a

formal Investiture Ceremony in the presence of the DIG R.K. Saha, honourable
Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee.


In the month of August the school was host of cultural bonanza i.e. ‘Ek Bharat

Shreshtha Bharat’.

In September the school observed Hindi Pakhwada where different activities were

performed to promote and inculcate love and respect towards our mother
tongue.

In October Gandhiji’sBithday was celebrated along with Swachcha Bharat

Abhiyan, where Exhibition , rallies and Poster making competition, Drawing
competition, speeches, essay competition and PustakMela was organized.


In the same month weobserved Vigilance Week with high spirits in which we had
short skits, Rangoli Making competition, Guest Lectures and quiz on Vigilance for

teachers etc.


To create awareness among students against corruption ‘Legal Literacy Campaign’
was also organized where the students were made abrest of their rights by

honourable Civil Judge, Legal officer and team.

“Run for Unity” was part of Sadbhawana Diwas to commemorate the birthday of

the Iron man of India i.e. Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. On the same occasion a Hindi
essay Writing and English essay writing Competition was also organized in the

school.

In November and English elocution Competition was organized on the Topic

‘Value of education in a students life’ was organized.

The school hosted ‘Fun Fare’ where all the students organised stalls and learned

the lesson of Marketting their products.

On 15 November the Birthday of Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan was celebrated

and Library week starting from 14 – 20 November was observed with a book
Exhibition in the library for Students and Teachers to spread awareness among
students on importance of books.

Bhasha Sangam- A celebration of Linguistic Diversity of India from 20 -21
December 2018 was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The month of December was highlighted by ‘Spic Macay’ programme where the
school was honoured by the benign presence of eminent vocalist and Sarod

Vadak, Ms. Debashmita Bhattacharya who enamoured the students with her
musical melody.

‘Routes to Roots’ a flagship programme was organised in the month of January

where the book fair to inculcate and promote the habit of reading among the
students was also a key feature of January month.


In the month of February a programme for awareness against Drug Abuse under
the sponsorship of NISD was held where D.r A.L. Sharma CHMO and Dr. Nida Khan

were chief spokesperson.


In the month of March a session for Career Guidance and Counselling were taken
up for budding students of class IX and X by Honourable Principal sir S.K. Sharma

and Prestige College Indore.

Library month was celebrated from 19 June 2018 to 19 July 2019.
Miunshi Prem Chand’s Birth Anniversary was celebrated with an Exhibition of
books.


‘Swachcha Bharat SwachchaBacche’ programme launched by KVS was

implemented in letter and spirit.

A yearlong celebration of 150 Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father
of the nation was also observed with fun fare.

CELEBRATIONS OF PRIMARY SECTION


1.Welcome Ceremony- Welcome ceremony for the new comers of class 1 is done

every year to provide them information about the vidyalaya activities throughout
the year and fee structure is also discussed with the parents.


2)Independence Day- Independence day is celebrated with full enthusiasm and
children present cultural programmes and songs. Patriotic message is also

delivered by the Principal to all the chidren and people.

3)Rakhi -Rakhi celebration is also done in which children of primary sections make

Colourful and interestionRakhhis in the classes and also tie these Rakhis to
Officials of ITBP.

4) Janmashtami- In Janmashtami celebration, Children prepare different

colourfuljhankis representing the events take place in lord Krishna life. They dress
up beautifully like Krishna and radha ,gopiya etc.


5) Diwali Celebration- Children celebrate diwali with full spirit. They make
colourfulrangolis ,diya and candle decoration and greetings for the festival and

convey message of eco friendlydiwali.


6) Children’s Day- In the vidyalaya, children’s day is enjoyed a lot by students. A
BalMela is organized for the students in which they participate with different

stalls of food/ snacks items and games. They fully enjoy the dance section as well.
A Fancy dress and drawing competition is also organized for the primary kids.


7) Grand Parents’ Day- For the celebration, proper invitation is given to grand-
parents, their welcome is done with garland and tilak. Children perform cultural

programmes, grand-parents share their valuable experiences with the students.
Also many games and enjoyable activities take place for the enjoyment.


8) Republic Day- On this day, principal sir address the students. Children perform
on different patriotic songs and dances, they also present speech about

importance of republic day.




COMMON MINIMUM PROGRAMME


CMP is known as common minimum programme for classes I to V under which
Following activities areorganised :


1. Activity Based Teaching- Classroom teaching involves various activities such as
discussion, role play, experimentation, poem recitation, storytelling, learning by

doing etc.


2. CCA- Co-curricular activities are organized according to CCA calendar
throughout the session for all round development of child in vidyalaya.


3. CCE and Uniform system of assessment- It is being followed for the assessment
of students throughout the session.

4. Children’s Day Celebration- On this day Bal Mela & Fancy dress competition are

organised . Children enjoy food, snakes, games music and dance,


5. Class Library- Every class has a class library, students read books and magazines
other than text books of their interest and develop their reading, thinking and
other skills.


6. Community Lunch- Community lunch is organized on every Saturday (funday)

as per schedule through which feeling of communal harmony is developed among
students. Children also learn about food of different states.


7. Excursion- Excursionis organized to make students familiar with surroundings,
historical monuments and environment.


8. Film Show- Children enjoy films/ movies based on moral values twice in month.


9. Grand Parent’s Day- Grand parent’s day is celebrated every year to give regard
to grand parents to share importance of parents and develop the good habits and

manners towards parents in children.

10. Mini Sports Meet- Celebrated every year to motivate the students for their

physical fitness and to find out best players.

11. PTM- PTM is organized time to time throughout the year to tell the progress

of the child and to discuss strategy for the betterment of children.


12. TAL- Use if technology, real objects, situations to make TLP interesting, and
effective.


13. TLM- To prepare topic wise TLM and use it during classroom transactions.


14. Integrity Club- To develop feeling of national integration by group work and
team work through various activities.


15. Medical check-up- Students are examined twice in year by team of doctors.

16. Class magazine- Prepared by the students of every class including stories,

drawings, poems, articles etc.

17. Exhibition- Items prepared by teachers and students are exhibit in resource

room.


18. News letter- Published and distributed quarterly to other schools to provide a
platform to the budding talents.


19. Worksheet- Worksheet is prepared topic wise and subject wise for all the
classes to assess the students.


20. Back to Basic- Back to basic is a programme by which basics of every subject
are developed among students.
