โครงสร้างของ Present Simple Tense

Present Simple Tense (ปจจุบนั กาล) คอื tense ทีพดู
ถึงเหตกุ ารณ์ ทีเกดิ ขนึ ในปจจุบนั แตไ่ มไ่ ด้ระบุว่าการกระทาํ

นันๆ สมบรู ณ์แลว้ หรอยัง โดยมโี ครงสร้างดังนี

Subject + Verb 1 ……….
(ประธาน) + (กรยาช่องที 1)

Present Simple Tense ใชก้ บั กรยาชอ่ งที 1 เท่านัน โดยนาํ
กรยาชอ่ งที 1 ไป เตมิ ลงในโครงสร้างต่อจากประธานโดยมขี ้อระวงั
อยู่นิดเดียวคอื ถ้าประธานเปน เอกพจน์ กรยาช่องที 1 ของ
present simple tense ตอ้ งเติม –s หรอ –es แต่ถา้ ประธาน
เปนพหูพจน์ กรยาเปนชอ่ งที 1 ไม่เตมิ อะไรเลย

Example

1. Ann works in the office. แอนทํางานในสาํ นกั งาน
(เติม –s ที work เพราะประธานเปนเอกพจน์)
2. Sona goes to school every day. โซนา่ ไปโรงเรยนทุกวนั
(Sona เปนประธานเอกพจนก์ รยาลงทา้ ยด้วย o เตมิ -es)
3. We go to Chiang Mai every Sunday. พวกเราไปเชียงใหมท่ ุกวนั
(go ไม่เตมิ –s, -es เพราะประธาน we เปนพหูพจน)์
4. I want a breath of fresh air. ผมตอ้ งการสูดหายใจเอาอากาศบร
(want ไมเ่ ติม –s, -es เพราะประธานเปน I)

หลักการเติม –s และ – es (เตมิ เฉพาะกรยาของประธานเอกพจน์
present simple

1. โดยปกติถ้าประธานเปนเอกพจน์ กรยาให้เติม –s โดยเฉพาะกรยาทไี ม่
ลงทา้ ย
ดว้ ย –s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x และ -o.
- She eats mango every day. หล่อนกินมะม่วงทุกวนั
- My dad speaks English with me. พ่อพดู ภาษาองั กฤษกับผม
- Tom works in a department store. ทอมท างานในห้างสรรพ
สนิ ค้าแหง่ หนึง

2. กรยาทีลงท้ายด้วย –s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x และ –o ให้เติม –es ที
กรยานนั ๆ
- The postman washes his hands and dries them on a
towel. บรุ ุษไปรษณยี ล์ า้ งมือของเขาแลว้ เชด็ ทผี ้าเช็ดตัว
- Marry teaches me English. แมรสอนภาษาอังกฤษใหผ้ ม
- Ekasit passes the shops on his way to work. เอกสทิ ธผิ า่ น
ร้านค้าต่างๆ ขณะเดนิ ทางไปทาํ งาน

ข้อยกเวน้ : ถา้ หนา้ –o เปนสระ
(a, e, i, o, u) ให้เติม –s ทที ้าย

3. กรยาทลี งท้ายดว้ ย –y และหนา้ –y เปนพยัญชนะให้เปลยี น –y เปน i กอ่ น
เตมิ –es (= ies)
-He hurries to go to the airport to meet his mother. เขารบไป
สนามบนิ เพือพบคณุ แมข่ องเขา
- His mother studies English every Sunday. แม่ของเขาเรยนภาษา
องั กฤษทุกวนั อาทิตย์

ข้อยกเวน้
ถ้ากรยาทลี งทา้ ยด้วย –y และหน้า –y เปนสระ (a, e, i, o, u) ให้เตมิ –s ที
ท้าย –y ไดเ้ ลย
- In the film he plays the central character of Charles
Smithson.
ในภาพยนตร์เขาได้แสดงบท เปน Charles Smithson
- In the summer, Tom usually plays tennis twice a week. ในหนา้
ร้อนทอมมกั จะเล่นเทนนสิ สองครังต่อสัปดาห์
