UCAPAN PENGHARGAAN
Assalamualaikum wbt dan salam sejahtera,
Setinggi-tinggi kesyukuran kehadrat ilahi dengan limpah dan kurnianya Festival Projek
Pelajar PKS Sesi 1 2022/2023 dapat dilaksanakan dengan jayanya pada kali ini. Tahniah
dan syabas kepada semua Ahli Jawatankuasa Kerja Festival Projek Pelajar PKS Sesi 1
2022/2023 kerana berjaya merancang dan menganjurkan program pada sesi ini. Festival
Projek Pelajar PKS Sesi 1 2022/2023 merupakan satu platform untuk memberi peluang
kepada semua pelajar semester akhir Politeknik Kuching Sarawak mengetengahkan hasil
kreativiti dan inovasi masing-masing melalui penghasilan projek akhir pelajar yang
mempunyai nilai tambah serta boleh dikomersialkan.
Adalah menjadi harapan PKS agar para pelajar dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan
kemahiran melalui percambahan idea dan penyelesaian masalah secara kreatif ke arah
melahirkan graduan yang berketrampilan dan kompeten serta mempunyai nilai
kebolehpasaran yang tinggi yang mampu menyumbang tenaga untuk membantu
pembangunan sektor ekonomi negara.
Kerjasama yang diberikan oleh semua pensyarah yang terlibat didalam penghasilan
projek akhir pelajar dapat membantu dan melonjakkan kualiti graduan TVET, sekaligus
memperkasakan generasi masa depan dengan budaya kreatif dan inovatif dalam
menyahut cabaran Revolusi Perindustrian ke-4 (IR 4.0).
Akhir kata, sekali lagi saya merakamkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan dan terima kasih
kepada semua Ahli Jawatankuasa Kerja, para pensyarah, Panel Penilai Dalaman, Panel
Penilai Industri, para pelajar serta semua pihak yang terlibat secara langsung mahupun
tidak langsung atas inisiatif dan kesungguhan dalam menjayakan Festival Projek Pelajar
PKS Sesi 1 2022/2023. Tahniah kepada semua.

LATAR BELAKANG PROJEK
Festival Projek Pelajar Sesi 1 2022/2023 Politeknik Kuching Sarawak merupakan
sebuah program anjuran Unit Penyelidikan, Inovasi dan Komersilan (UPIK) dengan
kerjasama Jabatan Perdagangan, Jabatan Kejuruteraan Awam, Jabatan
Kejuruteraan Elektrik, Jabatan Kejuruteraan Mekanikal, Jabatan Kejuruteraan
Petrokimia dan Jabatan Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi.
Program ini dilaksanakan khas kepada pelajar-pelajar semester lima untuk
mempamerkan hasil projek akhir mereka serta berkongsi pengalaman sepanjang
tempoh projek akhir dihasilkan. Selain itu, program ini juga merupakan pentas
terbaik untuk mempromosikan pelajar Politeknik Kuching Sarawak kepada pihak
industri melalui hasil projek mereka agar pihak industri lebih peka dengan
kebolehan dan kemahiran yang dimiliki oleh pelajar Politeknik Kuching Sarawak.
Selain itu, program ini juga merupakan platform untuk pelajar dan staf
memaparkan hasil kerja projek dan inovasi mereka dan berkongsi ilmu serta
pengalaman bersama. Ia juga membolehkan hasil inovasi staf dan pelajar
dipatenkan bagi tujuan pengkormersilan serta membolehkan agensi luar lebih
memahami apa yang dipelajari oleh pelajar dan secara khasnya dalam bidang
kejuruteraan dan ICT. Dengan adanya program seperti ini diharap ia dapat
mempromosikan kebolehan dan kemahiran yang diperolehi oleh graduan Politeknik
Kuching Sarawak.

The Kuching Sarawak Polytechnic Entrepreneurship Unit is a small business unit
that assists the department's Incubator in selling and advertising its goods and
services. Based on current observations, all incubators are still using old systems
that are considered outdated, slow, and inefficient, such as logbooks to monitor the
incubator's inventory and cash flow. In addition, having to make sales reports
manually through a log book takes a long time. In this project, we will create a web-
based platform that facilitates students and staff to view the products sold in each
incubator online, generate soft copy reports, and manage transactions, sales, and
orders, Transactions, and orders will be tracked for future use and financial records,
reducing financial issues. We will use a variety of software to build a complete
application.

Plants have an important part in maintaining the ecological cycle, hence adequate
monitoring is necessary to ensure healthy plant growth and health. As a result, a
smart plant monitoring system based on automation and internet of things (IoT)
technologies was developed. Sensors such as pH sensors, LM35 sensors, water level
sensors, and so on are utilized for this purpose. The pH sensor determines the
acidity and alkalinity levels. When the pH level falls below the threshold, the signal
is delivered to the Arduino board, causing the pump to pump water into the plant.
The water level sensor is another requirement for this operation. The sensor detects
the water level in the tank and provides the water level value to the Arduino board,
which then sends the data to the cloud. The entire plant monitoring data will be
transferred to Thingspeak and extracted for display on the website application.

Nowadays, most chicken breeders use manual methods to control the chickens in the coop.
Breeders always need to keep monitor the condition of the chickens in the coop and some
even come back from far places immediately because the need to monitor the temperature
and humidity conditions in the chicken coop is very crucial. If the Chickens coop
temperature and humidity are not control properly, it can cause the chickens to not be able
to process the quality of the eggs properly and may result in unhealthy egg quality and also
be less sold in the market due to most of the eggs being damaged. With the smart chicken
coop that has been built, it can reduce the burden on broiler chicken breeders to use easy
ways to control temperature and humidity. This method also makes it easier for breeders
who are outside to control the temperature in the chicken coop environment. This project
uses the blynk application to control the movement of fans and heating lamps where this
application will act when the temperature and humidity decrease and increase according to
the movement. As a result, this smart chicken coop actually means to broiler chicken
breeders to not having to monitor the temperature conditions in the chicken coop within 24
hours.

Sistem Registri and Rekod (SRE-2) is developed for Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjong
Bako (SKTB) in tackling the problems made from their outdated filing system where
it is hard to access in order to check the last reference number that has been used
resulting in redundant documents occurring during the time-consuming process.
SRE-2 is a remotely accessed web-based file management system that works to
auto-generate a formal document reference number, easily saving up-to-date filings
through processes that save time. From the questionnaire given to 9 respondents of
various backgrounds from SKTB, the highest min score value, with analysis on
usability with a min score of 4.71 followed by design at 4.62. Meanwhile interactivity
at a score of 4.62 and user-friendliness at a score of 4.47. It is hoped that with the
existence of this SRE-2 system, the government's desire to drive digital innovation in
services will be achieved.

SMART IOT FLOOD MONITORING SYSTEM

Flash floods usually occur in rapidly developing areas. Higher percentage of
property damage occurs, and a lot of lives are lost when the residents in the flood-
prone area are not ready to face the incoming flash flood. Therefore, we will build a
system that can help the residents to be more alerted to the danger of flash floods.
This project, Smart IoT Flood Monitoring System will use Arduino's IoT-based
technology. A website that displayed the water level and rain speed reading is
created for the resident to monitor the current situation in the flooded area. The
website also provide flood safety tips to help user. The website will receive the
water level and rain speed data from NodeMCU module that receives the
information from various sensors. Finally, to send alerts to our users, we will use
Telegram Bot to send warning messages to the user via Telegram.
SMART CAMERA LASER SECURITY SYSTEM

The title of this project is Smart Camera Laser Security System. The objective uses is
to build a camera laser security system that can take the picture of suspicious
people that enter the DCN preparation room when the system is on, to develop an
anti-theft system in the DCN Preparation Room that can alarm/notify the user via
SMS and to develop an app which will be used to manage and control the system.
These objectives are been chosen for the investigation of these aspect. Besides that,
this investigation is carried out at JTMK building at DCN Preparation Room. In this
investigation I can know for sure the important of security system in DCN
Preparation room. Findings shows that security system are very important to
protect valuables. For conclusion, I can deduce that security system in DCN
Preparation Room are very important to protect valuables in that room.

y to make the process of ordering easier.
This system is very helpful as the system itself provides self-service for guests to
order meals. The hotel guests can order the meals by scanning the QR code to access
the web page. However, the system also can send the order to the kitchen side after
the guests have submitted their order through the web page. Manual methods to
take orders will take time to be completed and may cause human error. The
benefits of the system are improved productivity and avoid of any human errors
that would occur. Other than that, iOrder is a very convenient system as it can
record the order bill in the database. Mean that, the order bill is recorded then issue
with the billing statement. This system will make the payment easier as guests just
need to pay the billing statement at checkout. IOrder is built with back-end control
in which interact with user interface. The most bigger speciality of iOrder is this
system can be apply in any level of business for those who want to deliver their
products/items/meals.

This study examines a data collection system innovation used by industrial training
students to ease the work of LI administrator/lecturer. This is because the present
system is inadequate for all administrators, lecturers, and students LI at Politeknik
Kuching Sarawak, as it currently uses Appsheet, which is not a particularly
systematic technique for gathering student data. Because of this, we aim to create a
new system that is tailored specifically for students and administrators/lecturers in
industrial training. Finally, the current procedure requires students to submit
physical copies of their LI documentation through the post office, which takes time
to deliver by the due date, even if they already have a soft copy online. As a result,
we want to create a system that will make things easier for both students and
administrators /lecturers. One click is all it takes to submit any assignments or
documents LI students have about appendices or videos.

CLOUD-BASED STORAGE DASHCAM WITH ACCIDENT DETECTION SYSTEM

For the past few years, the accident rates in Malaysia with the number of cars on
the road has increased. The purpose of our system, the CLOUD-BASED STORAGE
DASHCAM WITH ACCIDENT DETECTION SYSTEM is to raise awareness of normalizing
an accident alert system in models of cars moving forward. As the average response
time for medical personnel is eight minutes. Time is very crucial in the dire state of
an accident. This system uses IOT devices to interact with Telegram which is cloud-
based centralized instant messaging service. It also uses the Telegram's Bot API to
communicate with the system. When an accident has been detected, the system
will send an alert message through the Telegram Bot in the chat. Then, the
recipient will ask the system for the GPS information via Telegram through a
command prompted in the alert messages. To mitigate false detections, the user
has time to react by sending a command in Telegram to reset the system.

Nowadays, Society have lost interest do outdoor activity such as jogging, camping
and especially hiking. This is because of technology that day by day is more
futuristic. Thus , this study explores the possibility of using technology can attract
new generation in this era. A simple project of hiking tracker was develop to
increase the awareness about surrounding during hiking. This project use
temperature sensor, pressure sensor and altitude sensor, OLED for display and
Arduino IDE for coding process . Temperature, pressure and altitude can display at
OLED and also can monitor on ThingSpeak .Then, this project also use battery 1860
lithium rechargeable batter. After that , to program the code it using Arduino IDE
and Fritzing to design he circuit and being simulate . This prototype known as Hiking
Tracker and it measure the temperature *C ,pressure and altitude . The reading of
this measurement will displayed on OLED display. The target market of this
prototype new comer or beginner for hiker. This will give them exposer about
interesting of hiking and will bring positive impact to hiking community.

This smart hydroponics project uses a solar panel system as a replacement for the source of
electrical energy to the water pump. Many ask "What are the benefits of solar energy?" but
they fail to realize the importance of solar technology. Solar energy has become a trend in
renewable energy (RE). Many homeowners around the world choose to install solar panels
on the roofs of their homes. Solar energy not only saves costs in the long run, but there are
also other important reasons why you should use solar energy instead of fossil fuels. In
addition, solar energy is a clean and renewable source of energy. Solar energy is the best
way to reduce its carbon footprint and it does not cause environmental pollution. In fact, it
can reduce the cost of electricity. Finally, the project that I want to build also uses the
Arduino uno system. Because with the Arduino uno system, plant keepers do not have to
worry about the water source that plants need. For example, if the keeper of the crop is not
at home, this system will help to drain the water source to the crop automatically. It detects
if the crop media is dry by using a water sensor. Furthermore, this project using the IOT
blynk system, that connect with the esp8266 WiFi module. With the blynk apps system that
is downloaded to the handphone, we can also detect whether the water in our water tank is
low. With that, we can fill water into the water tank, either from tap water sources at home
or rain catchment water sources.

Dustbin are temporary disposal containers that are usually made of plastic, or
metal. People describe garbage as something that has been used before. Garbage
disposal affects the health of the community as well as the environment. Everyone
on the planet throws trash in a dustbin and when the dustbin is full, someone will
empty the trash and reuse the same dustbin. This is the simplest application of
ordinary dustbin, where no components are used such as batteries and Arduino, no
coding is done, and everything is done by hand. The only way to dispose of trash is
open the dustbin's cover and put trash in it, then empty it when it's full. Generally,
this project will use the idea of automatic dustbin that will cause someone to
dispose of trash easily without open dustbin's cover manually. Although automatic
dustbin is a project that is often used and has been sold a lot in the market but I
added a great idea which is add important aspects such as "when and how much
trash in the dustbin?". To know the fullness of the trash in the trash can is full or
not, the addition of an idea is to add a sensor detection system.

This project is to develop and design an “Automatic Curtain Puller”. Directly reduce
the manpower and make life easier. The system that is going to be developed is very
useful for houses, offices pharmaceutical stores applications. For houses and
offices, the system will operate automatically too protect the room from sunlight. In
pharmaceutical sector, system also can prevent the medicine and chemical stuff
from damages. The system will operate when we started push a button on the
application by using a smartphone. HC 05 Bluetooth Module which is send the data
to the Arduino, and then the L298n Motor Driver which allows speed and direction
control the DC Motor for easy control the direction of the rotation and drive the
motor either to open or close the curtains.

This project are taken up as people nowadays want to grow flower in their home but
prevented by the busyness of their work and daily life. Apart from that, watering
plant is a repetitive task and not a lot of people like do it and also not a lot of people
know how to proper taking care of their flower or plant. In this project, I
implemented soil moisture sensor that detect soil moisture level in the soil, and a
water pump will supply water to the plant if moisture level is low.This project is an
Arduino UNO based design that control the water pump that supplies water to the
plant. In addition, this project aims to overcome the problem of inconsistent care of
flowers that causes many plants to die due to the busy lives of many people who are
busy with their daily activities such as work, school, and so on.

Fire detectors are designed to detect one or more of two characteristics of fire; smoke and heat. The IOT
Based Fire Alarm Monitoring will send notifications via Blynk IoT to notify the place's owner to seek
immediate help. When fire is detected, the fire sound alarm will be automatically activated to alert the
occupants to escape before the fire spreads out of control. Fire is an unintentional or intentional disaster
caused by uncontrolled fire or burning, endangering human life, buildings or ecology. As a result, fire has
caused wildfires, injuries of many occupants and increases in death toll in every year. There are many
timbers factory in Sarawak. Each factory has its own timber storage to keep the woods safe especially
from fire. However, fire accidents do happen sometime and may cause loss of profits. Therefore, a
mechanism is proposed for this project to monitor and early detection of fire. It is crucial to reduce the
probability of events caused by fire. A fire alarm system has a number of devices that detect and warn
people through visual and audio appliances when heat, fire or other emergencies occur. The alarm may be
activated automatically from heat detectors or via manual fire detector activation devices such as a
manual alert to send fire notification via the Blynk IOT application. There are two types of alarms;
motorized bells or wall-mounted sounders. The primary thought in the present field advances is
computerization, power utilization, and expense adequacy. Automation is implied to reduce the
probability of events caused by fire. The MQ2sensor is utilized as a part of the Fire Detection System to
recognize a fire. If the gas level in the room rises rapidly above 100 , the MQ2 sensor activates the alarm.
Here, I have utilized an IOT BASED to control all the sensors' commands and execute them legitimately.
Fundamentally, it acts as the mind of the whole framework. In this project, it aims to reduce the
percentage of fire occurrences and losses due to fires.
A SMART WALKING STICK FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED AND DEAF PEOPLE

It is globally estimated that there are approximately 1.3 billion people living with some sort of visually
impairments. According to global trends (2015), there are 36 million blind people all around the world and
there are at least 216 million people with moderate and sever vision-impairments. All of these visually
impaired people with different type of impairments facing different problems in their daily lives.
According to the World Access for the Blind, the biggest challenge or problem for a visually impaired
person is movement or independent mobility, especially in a place which is not designed and constructed
for blind people. Keeping in mind all the mobility issues faced by a visually impaired person, this paper
presents a smart walking stick based on microcontroller, Infrared (IR) Sensor, Water Sensor, GSM, GPS and
other modules i.e. ultrasonic sensors for visually impaired and deaf people. This stick helps visually
impaired people by detecting the obstacles using ultrasonic sensors being used. An ultrasonic sensor is
integrated in the stick and these ultrasonic sensor generate a beeps and vibrations to inform the visually
impaired person and deaf person with visually impairments respectively. The stick is able to detect
obstacles in 50cm accurately. A water sensor had been used to detect the wet surface on the ground and
it’s will generate difference beep compared to the ultrasonic sensor. In addition, the function of the IR
sensor is to detect the fire surrounding. Instead of buzzer, I change the warning system using the real
human voices via Voice Recording Module and adding vibration also. It's also difficult to follow a visually
impaired person. To solve this problem, the stick sends real-time GPS data to the server, which allows the
person to be easily located by sending the SOS message/call to their family by only just one click. The
microcontroller used in this system (Stick) is a type of Arduino which is programmed in C language. The
stick is being tested and works as it was supposed to do.

As we all know, today's technology demands the use of automatic systems and
automation. Day by day, we're getting closer to automation. It's one of the hottest
subjects right now. As a result, I will provide two major functions in this project. First
one, is to detect the humidity on a plant using Capacitive Moisture Sensor. Other
function is to create a water pump using 5V DC Motor. In this project, Arduino UNO
Rev3 will be the main processing unit. Firstly, Capacitive Moisture Sensor will detect
low humidity in soil and transmit the info to Arduino UNO Rev3 in order to activate
the water pump. Capacitive Moisture Sensor can detect limit can be set by the user.
For example, whenever the soil humidity is below 25%, info will be sent to Arduino
UNO Rev3 and water pump will turn on. On the other hand, when soil humidity
reaches 80%, info sent to Arduino UNO Rev3 and water pump will turn off.

Petting fish has been one of the main hobby for people out there as part of their
daily activity. But when it comes to feeding the fish, the presence of the human
need to be there in order to feed fish at the specific period of time. Especially if they
are on a vacation, no one will take care of the fish. Therefore, it is very important to
have an automated fish feeder that can last for months to make sure the fish are
well fed without human presence. The aim of this project is to design an automated
fish feeder. Aside from that, it is to ensure that a suitable amount of fish pellets can
be distributed at the right time. As for the outcome, we will be expect that the fish
will be fed by not over or less fed otherwise the fish will feel abnormal and can
cause the tank to be dirty.

Smart Safety Helmet' merupakan alat perlindungan diri yang bertujuan melindungi bahagian
kepala daripada berlakunya kecederaan. 'SmartSafety Helmet' ini menggunakan bahan tambahan
seperti pengesan jarak, penggera, pelekat pemantul cahaya dan interkom. Tujuan produk ini
dihasilkan adalah untuk menambahkan ciri-ciri keselamatan produk sesama kerja-kerja
penyelenggaraan di dalam bangunan, serta boleh memberi manfaat kepada petugas
penyelenggaraan. Analisis produk daripada inovasi yang telah dihasilkan telah menunjukkan

Pengurusan sisa makanan yang tidak efisien telah menyebabkan berlakunya
pencemaran air dan udara semakin meningkat. Hal ini menyebabkan pusat
pulupusan sampah yang sedia ada tidak mampu untuk menampung jumlah sampah
sekali gus menyebabkan wujudnya tempat pelupusan sampah haram. Produk ini
dihasilkan untuk mengurangkn pencemaran dengan memproses sisa ke kuantiti
yang lebih kecil dengan fungsi mengisar dan mengering. Kaedah pengujian
dilakukan dengan memproses sisa mknn daripada kantin dan gerai no. 4 dan no. 5 di
kafeteria Politeknik Kuching Sarawak. Hasil pengujian mendapati dengan suhu
antara 150°-180°, berat maksimum 5 kg dengan masa mengisar dan mengering
adalah 100 minit. Secara keseluruhannya, produk yang dihasilkan dapat
menjalankan kesemua fungsi mengisar, mengering dan pengesan aras
menggunakan teknologi Arduino dan Node MCU.

Flash floods that occur in some low-lying areas have caused damage to existing
infrastructure and become a major problem for local residents. The channel filled with
water until overflowing fills the road area, will make the situation even more difficult
for road users. Prior to the problems above, our group developed a mini simulation of
door ditch as one of the innovations to overcome this problem. The objective of our
study is to design a simulation of door ditch by using the sketch-up application,
produce a mini simulation and test the operation of the simulated automatic door. To
produce this simulation, works such as measurement, cutting, connection, electronics
and coding are done. The work process above has produced a mini simulation of door
ditch. Coordination has been made by setting a distance of 5cm from the ultrasonic
sensor to the automatic door sensor to open. A test run has been made; the automatic
sensor door has opened successfully when the water level rises to 5cm from the
ultrasonic sensor.

Portable Carpentry Workstation, which is the name given for our project model, are built to enhance advantages or
to improve a better carpentry workstation for carpenters or public use. This project has been done in several
countries such England, Sweden and United States of America based on our research on the internet but hasn’t been
done yet in our country, Malaysia. Portable Carpentry Workstation is a working station just like those machines in
the laboratory or workshop, but this is the mini version of it. Portable Carpentry Workstation is much smaller,
lighter, safe, and easy to be carry away anywhere and anytime they want to complete such job, such as cutting
process of wood turning into furniture like tables, chairs, cabinets, or others. The design of this project is easier to
handle, more portable, lighter and more economical. There are 3 types of equipment’s that suitable to be attached
to this product, which Circular Saw, Jigsaw and Mini Router. This product is designed to overcome such problem
which faced by carpenters in their workplace, where those machines they used for cutting process is heavy, hard to
be move, higher risk and is not portable. The size of this portable carpentry workstation is 550mm, the foot size is
70mm x 70mm, the tabletop size is 600mm x 600mm, the tabletop thickness is50mm and the top-hole size is 210mm
x 297mm. In addition, this portable woodworking machine has an extra space to put or store woodworking tools
under the tabletop. The material that being used to build this product is plywood and meranti wood, for it is the best
choice. The design is starting with Drawing sketch, Sketch-up in Software, Construct and Assemble and last is Result
and Conclusion. Based on our collected data, most people where 62.9% has agreed and satisfied with our product
outcomes and benefits. As for the conclusion, not only we could help those Carpenters to overcome their problems
in the workplace, but it is proven that this Portable Carpentry Workstation could be used for cutting process and has
its own added benefits or advantages to increase the product markets values, at the same time it is ready to be
applied in the future, for Carpenters or perhaps, anybody who wishes to have this product for their own used.

This project report presents a time frame of comparison between conventional
method and modern method. Typically one of the steps in the process of evaluating
the calibre of a home's construction is to inspect the floor tiles. The analysis of the
cost of the tiling defect detector is made base on the data obtained in the
construction project. This innovation project created a product that has been
improved and modified to make it easier for consumers to perform tile inspection
work. This product is to detecting a tile that has less cement compression to prevent
the tile from cracking in the future. Multifunctional Tiling Defect Detector Tool
anticipated to assist consumers especially new home buyers in detecting defects in
instanly within liability period to enable them to seek protection for the cost of new

Panel dinding penebat bunyi adalah produk pembinaan yang mempunyai pelbagai

bangunan. Panel dinding ini juga mempunyai pelbagai ukuran mengikut kesesuaian
saiz bangunan itu sendiri. Bahan yang digunakan untuk panel dinding adalah habuk
kayu, serat kelapa dan bekas telur. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menguji bahan baru
dan menghasilkan panel phasil dari bahan buangan sebagai bahan penyerap bunyi.
Kebaikan kajian ini ialah ia nya dapat menyelesaikan masalah bunyi sekaligus
mengurangkan risiko kesihatan. Pengujian terhadap semua bahan penyerap bunyi
diambil menggunakan alat ukur aras bunyi bermodel ST9604. Secara
keseluruhannya didapati bahawa penyerap bunyi yang diperbuat daripada bahan
kitar semula merupakan bahan yang baik jika digunakan sebagai bahan penyerap
bunyi. Analisis dibuat daripada perbandingan data yang dipereolehi.Analisis dan
keputusan yang telah diperolehi dipaparkan dalam bentuk graf bar dan jadual.

Based on the observations that have been made on the Sumiran Eco Park system, a Virtual Tour system needs to be
developed to ensure that the existing system at Sumiran Eco Park can develop with the passage of time and can
even help Sumiran Eco Park in promoting their tourism spots to outsiders. Therefore, to attract the interest of
visitors, an application needs to be developed so that people can use the application to find Sumiran Eco Park.
Based on the study, Sumiran Eco Park is a tourism place where it is located in an area far from the city. Sumiran Eco
Park's social media is a platform where Sumiran Eco Park promotes their tourism spots and provides information
related to Sumiran Eco Park on social media. To further improve this system, an application named TAS (Tourism
Application System) can help Sumiran Eco Park in attracting the attention of visitors. TAS is equipped with various
information related to Sumiran Eco Park. In addition, what is more interesting, TAS also provides a Virtual Tour
experience where photos taken using Camera 360 and processed using GoPro Fusion Studio. After processing, the
data entered into Obtrix 360 to get a Virtual Tour and finally entered into TAS. With the Virtual Tour in TAS, this
application can provide fun to users and provide a 360° photo experience. This not only provides fun to users, but
this TAS also helps Sumiran Eco Park in introducing each area in in the Summary. In addition to the Virtual tour,
TAS is also placed with information related to Sumiran Eco Park, TAS also has a thematic map where visitors can
learn about each area in Sumiran Eco Park in detail. With this map, it makes it easier for users to know the Area
they want to visit. The development of the TAS system uses the example of the System Development Life Cycle
Waterfall Model (SDLC) which is used as a reference and guideline in the development process so that it meets the
set objectives. The process of planning, analysis, design, implementation and maintenance is applied in the
development of this system. Once this TAS is ready to be developed, it will go through a test-run process by users.

Politeknik Kuching Sarawak (PKS) with a land area of 112 acres are located about 23 kilometers from
the center of Kuching City. A 360 virtual tour was created for students, parents, visitors and the
industry because this can show facilities in PKS comprehensively. The Harvard Virtual Tour was
designed and built to allow individuals all over the world to view the campus environment. The virtual
tour made advantage of a cylindrical panorama to assemble photographs and explore the
surroundings. Although there are 20 scenes included in Lapentor software, it is able to cover the
amenities at PKS, including the lecture room, staff building, laboratory, and workshop, by using
Lapentor software. Despite the availability of Google Maps, this cannot help students, parents, visitors
and the industry about the facilities at PKS more clearly because Google Maps only tells the name of
each building. This study is aimed to solve the problem for these three parties which is new students,
industries and parents and develop PKS corporate image by using 360 virtual tours. Also, these 360
virtual tours contain all the places found in PKS, such as the facilities, and all of the info about PKS, and
the activities that will be done. It was found that virtual tour can be used as a tool to help the user in
solving their problems stated since it provides attractive panoramic view as compared to still images
found in brochures and websites. This study begins with data acquisition around the PKS area such as
lecture rooms, staff building, laboratory, workshop, library, mosque, hostel, PKS cooperative shop,

The current water quality monitoring system is a manual system with a monotonous
process and time-consuming. Traditional water measurement method, mostly done
in laboratory, cannot help so much for making timely and informed decisions. This
project entails the design and manufacturing of a prototype of a remotely controlled
boat which can monitor the real-time water characteristic of a large water body like
a lake or river. The water’s pH measurement, turbidity and total dissolved solids can
be measured, and the reading will be sent to end-user. The sensors that detect the
pH value, turbidity and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of a water sample will pass
through the information to the Arduino, and the result will be shown on the mobile
devices via an app called Blynk.

Since most people often use cars, most of them are equipped with alarms to prevent
theft. The battery in the automobile serves as the power source for the alarm
system. When motion impacts are detected, the automobile alarm sensors will go
off. The controller that controls the battery will receive the vibrational signal. As a
result, the project we choose to carry out will incorporate an Arduino concept. When
the auto alarm is activated, it operates. The Arduino transmitter sends wave to the
receiver. The button on the remote controls the buzzer is triggered when the
receiver receives the signal. As a result, the alarm is set off independently by the
buzzer and receiver. Additionally, it aids in reducing noise pollution brought on by
common alarm systems found in stores.

A pulley is basically a wheel-shaped component that is connected or wrapped with a
rope that is used to lift a load with a lower force. The pulley system is said to be a
simple system because it does not require complex components or is connected to
gears or engines. Machines or simple systems such as pulleys give us a mechanical
advantage, which makes us 'stronger' to lift heavier objects. As we know now, many
technicians such as air conditioning technicians need a multi-purpose ladder, which
can help ease the career when wanting to repair or service air conditioning. It is
seen that the ladder that is often used does not have the facility to carry a tool box
when doing the repair process, this will cause a technician to go back and forth to go
down when his hand tools are not enough when servicing the air conditioner.
Therefore, the project that we will carry out will be related to the pulley system that
will be used on the ladder, which will help raise the tool box while using the ladder
to repair something.

In this era of modern development, the automotive industry has become one of the
most widespread industries in the world market. Yet one of the problems involving
the automotive industry is the production of rust on parts of cars. Rust can form on
any iron part of a vehicle. One way to get rid of rust on car parts is to use chemicals.
Chemicals are used to dissolve rust to remove rust on car parts. However, removing
rust with chemicals is expensive, time-consuming, and some of the chemicals used
are potentially harmful to the environment. So we will create a portable
sandblasting machine that will be able to solve the problem. This sandblasting
machine can save costs, save time, and is also safe for the environment.

Safe and clean water is essential for public health, whether it is used as drinking water, domestic usage, food
production, irrigation or for recreational purposes. Rainwater harvesting and fog collecting are integrated
environment-friendly systems to produce the renewable feedstock or water supply in the efforts to help reach
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Most of the villages in Kuching, Sarawak are supplied with water
tanks to harvest the rainwater from the roof by collecting the rainwater in gutters. Therefore, the rainwater
may be contaminated with residues such as dry leaves, rotting leaves, dead plants, twigs and others.
Rainwater harvesting can be problematic, particularly within the dry season, although there might be a
significant amount of fog in the mountainous areas of the country. Hence, this project aims to fabricate a
rainwater filter integrated with a fog collector to obtain clean water. The system can channel up to 90% of
rainwater into the storage tank. The system consists of a self-designed and 3D-printed body with a mesh
filtration tube as the core to collect large residues before the rainwater drops to the storage tank. Meanwhile,
the fog collector works to capture water from the ambient using the concept of a fog harp utilizing parallel
wires. In the post-testing, it is found that the system was able to channel up to 92.6% of water. Meanwhile, the
fog collector was able to accumulate 485ml volume of water for 5days period at Kampung Duyoh hilltop village
as field test. It is also noted that the system is relatively easy to operate, requires low maintenance, and has
reasonable cost. In the end, the objectives of fabricating a rainwater filter with fog collector is successfully
achieved and can be utilized by the villagers to obtain clean water and water supply.

world of sophisticated technology. Almost all the latest technologies use sensors.
Sensor is a device that detects or changes a physical property that then records,
displays, or otherwise responds to it. There are many types of sensors. On vehicles
like cars alone we can see various sensors being used. For example engine speed
sensor, fuel temperature sensor, camshaft position sensor, vehicle speed sensor and
more. Therefore, we have created a sensor model called "Alcohol Alarming System"

Nowadays, the smell of the chicken waste has become a serious problem in Malaysia for example in
Bukit Gantang. The problems that affect the villagers are flies and smelly odour from the chicken
waste. In order to reduce the smell of the chicken waste, our methods are using charcoal as an
adsorption method to adsorb an ammonia gas. Secondly, our methods are using sawdust as a drying
agent to the chicken waste so it will not become smelly. Last but not least, our methods consist of
using EMAS solution as a decomposition method to the bacteria at the chicken waste. The results we
got from our research obtained positive results based on the results of the number of flies, the
results of the smell tested through human surveys, the results of the difference between probiotic
chicken waste and normal chicken waste, and the difference in fat content found in probiotic
chicken. The conclusion is proven that the use of charcoal and wood dust helps in the process of
removing the smell of chicken droppings, besides the use of EM solution plays a big role in processing
chicken droppings before the droppings emit a foul smell. The proposal to make this project

This process is about the elimination of waste from the pumpkin processing industry into a new form of product to
protect environment and human health by transforming pumpkin waste into bioethanol. Such bioethanol is
believed to show the potential uses of these wastes. Therefore, purpose this experiment is to optimize the reducing
sugar concentration and bioethanol production from pumpkin peel wastes. Consequently, the chemical
composition of starchy material is a key factor affecting the efficiency of bioethanol production during conversion
processes that is why pumpkin work to produce bioethanol as pumpkin waste contain excellent levels of starch
which is 60% of starch in dry matter. Hence the conversion of starchy biomass of bioethanol can be achieved by 2
step which is fermentation and distillation. Our purpose in carrying out this project is because many problems
need to be solved using these useful methods. The method we use is very safe for humans, animals, and the
environment because there is no pollution occurred during this experiment. Our process is very simple and cheap
also. Firstly, pumpkin is collected from local farmer then pumpkin is clean, cut and blend until it become pulp. After
that pumpkin pulp is cook until soft. Mixed yeast with water and then mixed the pumpkin pulp and yeast together.
The mixture of pumpkin and yeast is put into closed vessel and left to ferment for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, the
fermented liquid is filtered to remove dissolve solid using parchment paper. The filtered liquid is filtered, and the
alcohol content is test e using Hydrometer. Lastly, the PH is taken. The significant of our experiment is purpose to
studying a safer method for producing bioethanol to reduce pollution that caused by methane emission from
pumpkin waste. Useful for cleaning agent industry, and generating an idea for the communities to handle waste
better by converting pumpkin waste to a useful product like bioethanol. To use a process that produce less
pollution during the conversion of the material to bioethanol. The final product characteristics is colorless, low
boiling point and have strong smell. The chemical formula for bioethanol is C2H5.

The project is applied from observation based on a manual method used now which is an aeration system in
wastewater treatment. The objective of this project is produced is to study the effect of an aeration system on
water quality and the efficiency to increase dissolved oxygen in the water sample. Furthermore, there are some
of the scopes of study that have been set in this project are the study of wastewater treatment to determine
water quality by aeration system and the tools to increase the efficiency of aeration system with existing
manual techniques and methods. All of this is fixed to solve some of the problems that a rise in dissolved oxygen
levels in Sungai Kangka, Politeknik Kuching Sarawak is low due to the stagnant points in the water. Also, to solve
the water contamination which can lead to gastrointestinal illnesses, nervous system or reproductive effects,
and chronic diseases such as cancer due to other sources from sewage around the Politeknik area. The materials
and methods for this project can lead to the increased efficiency of the aeration system in the water, examples
are a magnetic stirrer, Dissolved Oxygen Meter (DO Meter), Bubble Stone Aerators and pH meter. As for the
component of the aeration process, the methodological study is used to plan the project production process by
using a flow chart as guidelines for production planning and project testing. The overall result for this project is
successfully produced with a large amount of dissolved oxygen compared to the traditional aeration system as
much. Based on the results, the results of the analysis, and the discussions that have been conducted, it has
been concluded to use the methods to increase the dissolved oxygen by increasing the speed of the aeration
system (RPM) and installing bubble diffusion. In addition, these tools are being proven to be able to save time
and achieved objectives compared to traditional methods.

This project is based on experimental project. Objective for this project is to produce
biodegradable plastic from waste ground coffee. Other than that is to analyse the time
taken for the biodegradable plastic to decompose. The problem statement for this project is
the increasing amount of waste, garbage at the landfill. The amount of garbage produced
everyday may cause the landfill to be overfilled. This also may cause the production of
unhealthy gasses that can cause health hazard. Next is the increase of pollution that caused
by the plastic waste. As all known that plastic took ages to decompose. All sorts of pollution
mainly caused by plastic, such as water pollution happened where the blockage of the
drainage caused by the plastic waste, where also can cause odour pollution.Other than that,
most plastic for daily usage is mostly cannot be degradable. This can also cause landfill
Materials that are used in this project are all organic materials and it is possible to be
degradable. Meanwhile, in order to produce biodegradable plastic is based on methodology

Allium Cepa or better known as onion is used in daily life for cooking among Malaysians. The
skin of Allium Cepa is often thrown away because many people still do not know the
benefits and uses of this shallot skin. Through red onion skin, moisturizing cream can be
produced through the hot press process where hot press machine are often used to extract
oil from peanut oil in factories. Allium Cepa skin is thrown away too much and this can be
used as an alternative to produce something useful , as well as cheap to prepared because it
does not require too many ingredients. In addition, the moisturizing cream from Allium
Cepa oil is also safe for use by children and adults because it is proven to be organic.
However, not everyone likes the smell of onions , so we will continue to study on how to
reduce the smell of onions by adding aroma oil such as lavender or coffee so that the smell
of onion can be reduced and to be used by everyone. Analysis of moisturizing cream
produced from Allium Cepa oil can be tried for the purpose of Analysis on the surface of
leaves and flower petals. Once applied on the petals and leaves it can be analyzed under a
microscope to observe the condition.

In this project we are sharing our method of controlling certain pollution, namely a type of
domestic waste which is polystyrene wastes. People nowadays do not realize how important it is
to handle domestic wastes, which results in the action of throwing away polystyrene wastes into
the ocean instead of the dustbin. Our project is about handling this type of wastes so that it can
be reused. In addition, the concept of 3R which is reduce, reuse and recycle can be applied. We
are suggesting a method which would help in overcoming this issue and that is by transferring
our knowledge and conduct this project in which a product called Polyshellac is made. Shellac is
important in engineering especially in carpentry or production of wooden furniture. In this
project, we could also improve our knowledge on scientific processes along the run. Aside from
suggesting a method to control domestic wastes pollution, this project is also meant to reduce
the cost of purchasing store-bought shellac and that this is the alternative way to make a
“homemade” shellac which is Polyshellac by ourselves. We have gather information which are
necessary on the project, including the properties of the materials used and further information
regarding our research in producing the Polyshellac.

fertilizers.Organic fertilizers made from spent tea waste more friendly to
environment than chemical fertilizers.How its produce are,the spent tea waste will

Bitumen is a material that is widely used in the construction of roads. The production of which
is unsustainable as crude oil reserves deplete. Abandoned tyres and improper storage of waste
engine oil can have negative environmental effects and health effects respectively. Previous
research have concluded that, the production of bitumen with materials such as waste engine
oil and waste tyres is possible, the method is simultaneously a means to a more sustainable
production of bitumen and reduction of waste engine oil and waste tyres; however, tyre
abandonment is of more concern in the context of Malaysia. Thus, this study aims to
determine the effect of increasing waste tyre chips during the formulation phase. As this was
yet to be determined. Here we report that, with the treating and cutting the waste engine oil
and waste tyres respectively and then by first, combining the materials with a varying mass
waste tyre granules for each sample until homogenous via heating. Then pouring and then
mixing bitumen into the mixture. The result is a sample of modified bitumen that has had its
physical properties tested via laboratory analysis and chemical composition examined via FTIR
spectroscopy.

waste is sent to landfill for disposal may break down and produce methane gas that
cause greenhouse effect. The aims of the research are to produce organic fertilizer
from food wastes of vegetables husks, fruits peel, eggshell etc.Vegetable’s husk,
fruits peel, eggshell and etc. were collected from cafe and canteen of Polytechnic
Kuching Sarawak. Food wastes were collected and put into the plastic bucket with
the consideration of all the parameters that is related to anaerobic composting.

ciptaan Tuhan yang comel dan disayangi ramai iaitu kucing. Selepas melakukan tinjauan, jumlah kucing di
Politeknik Kuching ini melebihi dari 10 ekor dan ianya boleh dijumpai di mana – mana tempat sekitar sini.
Masalah yang dihadapi sekarang adalah cara memberi kucing – kucing makan. Jika diberi makanan atas lantai
maka ia akan menimbulkan bau yang kurang enak dan meninggalkan kesan, kesan yang kotor dari makanan
kucing akan melekat di lantai justeru akan mendatangkan lalat. Selain itu, kucing di Politeknik Kuching ini
seringkali dilihat memakan sisa makanan pelajar yang terdapat di atas meja café dan kantin. Ini juga akan
menimbulkan masalah kebersihan sebagai contoh kucing naik ke atas meja untuk memakan sisa pelajar dan
bulu nya melekat di permukaan meja dan terdapat segelintir pelajar yang berasa kurang selesa dengan
keadaan tersebut. Oleh itu, bagi menjaga kebersihan dan keindahan Politeknik Kuching, pengkaji telah
memfokuskan masalah tentang cara bagaimana untuk memberi kucing makan dengan betul tanpa
mengotorkan kawasan. Dengan ini, pengkaji telah mencadangkan idea untuk menggunakan diy cat feeder (
Do It Yourself ) yang diperbuat daripada barangan terpakai serta jimat kos untuk memberi kucing makan dan
diy cat feeder ini akan diletakkan di tempat yang menjadi tumpuan kucing dan tempat dimana pelajar kerap
memberi kucing makan. Kesimpulannya, dengan adanya diy cat feeder ini kebersihan dan keindahan di
politeknik akan terjaga malah akan mengurangkan bau dan kedatangan lalat. Ia juga akan memudahkan
sesiapa yang ingin memberi kucing makan di tempat yang telah disediakan di Politeknik Kuching.

attract both current and new consumers by using price techniques. Bundling pricing
projects by D'Arus Muara are under dispute. At the D'Arus Muara seafood restaurant
in Kampung Telaga Air, this project is being carried out. Due to the high cost of the
seafood supply, the majority of restaurants that offer seafood are overpriced.
Therefore, our attempts to address it through price techniques have emerged. This
initiative aims to address the issue of the high cost of the seafood industry. The
meal set and additional items from the menu are combined to get the bundling
pricing. The efficacy and acceptability are revealed by the findings.

pemiliknya adalah Encik Mat Noor.Kami telah membuat satu cadangan bagi menjalankan satu
proses inovasi daging burger berperisa serunding. Terdapat beberapa tambahan baharu dalam
resepi burger daging yang kami akan jalankan.Selain itu,kami juga telah menambahbaik
perniagaan Sumat burger dalam mempromosi produk baharu kedalam platform media sosial iaitu
Instagram dan juga facebook.Hal ini dapat meningkatkan lagi pasaran Sumat Burger ke tahap yang

unaware of Easy Paint products in the market. Therefore, we decide to help the
company by promoting their products through TikTok to reach audiences, in a highly
creative and playful environment. TikTok content definitely contributes to the
increase in followers and views of the TikTok page. As TikTok is primarily content
driven, the data of the audience favourite content will be affecting the algorithm to
shows relevant content to the TikTok users. In conclusion, TikTok is a great platform
for advertising as it is easy to use and very convenient for customers and sellers.

pelanggan. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk membantu peniaga kecil seperti Zahra

Sweet Freezer Hay Day merupakan kedai yang menjual minuman. Walaupun kedai in menjual
pelbagai jenis minuman 'viral' namun masih tidak mampu memberi jualan yang amat
memberangsangkan. Bagi menjadi lebih berdaya saing, kedai perlu mengaplikasi beberapa kaedah
pemasaran. Pemasaran ialah satu proses sosial dan pengurusan di mana individua atau kumpulan
memenuhi keperluan dan kehendak melalui penghasilan dan penukaran produk atau nilai di
kalangan masyarakat. Manakala pemasaran media sosial pula merujuk kepada proses perniagaan
berstrategi yang melibatkan penggunaan platform media sosial. Justeru kajian in dilaksanakan untuk
membantu kedai meningkatkan jualan dan keuntungan melalui media sosial dan seterusya dapat
menarik ramai pelanggan. Pelaksanaan kajian dimulakan dengan membuat Analisa SWOT bag
mencari pemasalahan dan strategi yang bakal digunakan. Berdasarkan analisa, platfom Instagram
telah dipilih bagi tujuan promosi. Seramai 87 orang pelanggan telah dipilih sebagai responden. Soal
selidik telah diedarkan secara dalam talian menggunakan google form. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan
bahawa responden bersetuju dan berpuashati dengan penggunaan Instagram (Skala likert 4.64 dari
5). Selepas Instagram digunakan sebagai medium pemasaran, jualan juga telah meningkat dan
sebagai penambahbaikan responden mencadangkan agar pelanggan dapat membuat tempahan
menggunakan google form (pembelian atas talian).

Dem Thrift Store menggunakan kaedah live streaming sebagai kaedah jualan memandangkan live
streaming menjadi tren dalam dunia perniagaan pada masa kini. Namun, pemilik Dem Thrift Store
menghadapi masalah untuk meneruskan kaedah tersebut apabila mula menyambung pengajian
dan hal ini telah menyebabkan perniagaan tersebut tidak dapat beroperasi seperti biasa. Justeru
kajian ini dilaksanakan dengan memperkenalkan kaedah penggunaan e-katalog sebagai
penyelesaian kepada Dem Thriff Store agar terus kekal relevan dalam perniagaan bundle ini. Diawal
kajian analisa SWOT telah dilaksanakan dan dapatan analisa ini telah membantu pengkaji memilih
strategi perniagaan yang sesuai iaitu penghasilan e-katalog. Seterusnya pelanggan Dem Thrift Store
telah diminta untuk menilai tahap kepuasan terhadap penggunaan e-katalog. Borang soal selidik
telah diedarkan secara dalam talian (group whatsapp Dem Thrift Store) menggunakan google form
dan seramai 74 orang responden telah terlibat dalam kajian ini. Kaji selidik ini mengandungi 3
bahagian iaitu bahagian pertama adalah berkaitan dengan demografi. Bahagian 2 tentang soal
selidik tahap kepuasan pelanggan terhadap penggunaan e-katalog manakala bahagian yang ketiga
adalah kecenderungan responden menggunakan live streaming ataupun e-katalog. Secara
keseluruhan responden amat berpuashati dan bersetuju bahawa penggunaan e-katalog mampu
menggantikan kaedah live streaming untuk Dem Thrift Store. E-Katalog ini juga telah berjaya
memberikan jualan kepada Dem Thrift Store setelah tidak menghasilkan sebarang jualan selepas 7
bulan.
