Alhamdulillah bersyukur kehadrat Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala (SWT) kerana dengan limpah
kurnianya Pertandingan Projek Akhir DFT50114 (kursus Integrated project) Sesi 1 2021/2022
Jabatan Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi Politeknik Kuching Sarawak dapat dilaksanakan
dengan jayanya.
Pertandingan Projek Akhir DFT50114 Sesi 1 2021/2022 kali ini adalah penganjuran program
di peringkat jabatan yang melibatkan 33 penyertaan yang terdiri daripada pelajar semester
akhir Trek Pembangunan Perisian dan Aplikasi serta Sistem Rangkaian.
Program seumpama ini sangat signifikan dalam memainkan peranan untuk membudayakan
aktiviti inovasi dan pembangunan sistem bagi penyelesaian masalah dalam kalangan pelajar
JTMK. Saya menyifatkan pertandingan ini bertujuan menyemarakkan usaha di kalangan
pelajar ke arah kecemerlangan dan keberkesanan penghasilan projek inovasi yang boleh
memberi manfaat kepada masyarakat.
Saya yakin dan percaya aktiviti ini mampu menghasilkan pelajar yang berinovasi dan
berfikiran kreatif selaras dengan misi dan visi Politeknik Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi
Malaysia. Syabas dan tahniah diucapkan kepada semua pensyarah penyelia dan pelajar di
atas komitmen yang diberikan sepanjang proses penghasilan projek dijalankan.
Akhir kata, saya ingin mengucapkan setinggi-tinggi tahniah dan penghargaan kepada semua
AJK yang terlibat dalam menjayakan program Projek Akhir DFT50114 Sesi 1 2021/2022

dengan jayanya. Saya juga ingin mengucapkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan dan tahniah

Greetings, first of all, I would like to thank the FYP Secretariat
from the Department of Information and Communication
Technology (JTMK) for allowing me to evaluate the final project
for Session 1 2021/2022.
I would like to congratulate all JTMK students for succeeding
in producing your final project as best they can. I was
informed by the FYP Secretariat that the final project for this
semester is one hundred percent done by online/virtual
platform as compared with our situation before this, which is
everything done by face to face and always refer to supervisor
and lecturers as well.
I hope with the project DFT50114 INTEGRATED PROJECT.
Students can be mentally prepared for upcoming industrial

PENGENALAN
Pertandingan Projek DFT50114 INTEGRATED PROJECT Sesi 1
2021/2022 adalah merupakan suatu program di bawah anjuran
Unit Projek Jabatan Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi (JTMK)
dengan kerjasama Unit Pensyarah Pelawat Industri (PPI).
Program ini dilaksanakan khas untuk pelajar-pelajar semester
akhir mempersembahkan hasil projek akhir mereka. Di
samping itu, program ini juga merupakan pentas terbaik untuk
mempromosikan para pelajar Politeknik Kuching Sarawak
kepada pihak industri melalui penghasilan projek mereka agar
pihak industri lebih peka dengan kebolehan dan kemahiran
yang dimiliki oleh pelajar Politeknik Kuching Sarawak.
Objektif program ini adalah,
1.Menjadi platform untuk pelajar mempersembahkan hasil
kerja projek mereka dan berkongsi ilmu serta pengalaman
bersama.
2.Membolehkan agensi luar lebih memahami apa yang
dipelajari oleh pelajar dan secara khasnya dalam bidang
ICT.
3.Mempromosikan kebolehan dan kemahiran yang diperolehi
oleh graduan Politeknik Kuching Sarawak.
Melalui penganjuran program seumpama ini diharapkan dapat
memberikan impak dan manfaat kepada para pelajar untuk
meningkatkan keberkesanan pembelajaran dan keupayaan
dalam penghasilan kerja berkualiti melalui potensi kemahiran
dan prestasi diri. Justeru, dapat memupuk kemahiran
berkomunikasi, semangat berpasukan serta meningkatkan
gaya pemikiran secara kreatif dan kritis.

The need for home security alarm systems nowadays is a serious
demand. As the number of crimes are increasing every day, there
must be something that will keep us safe. We are all aware of the
high-end security system present in the market, but they are not
easily available to everyone. We therefore intend to provide a solution
by constructing a cost- efficient electronic system that has the
capability of sensing the motion of the intruders

ABSTRACT
Presently, lecturers manually fill the CLO report with reference to the
data from the Sistem Pengurusan Maklumat Politeknik (SPMP). SPMP
is a data storage system for Sarawak Polytechnic students in Kuching.
And it, can keep track of grades and results for each semester. At the
end of each semester, lecturers will fill on the CQI for CORR form
manually. CQI is well understood as a when performing things
manually, there is a danger of mistake, such as mistyping and data
loss. It will be easier for lecturers, head of department and head of
program to use our invention system, CQI for CLO Report (CCRS).It is
develop to simplify the process of making analysis so that it will be
easier and more accurate.

ABSTRACT
This project is applied from the observations and requests by Mr.
Thandayuthapani A/L Seperamaniam the emergency response team of
the Politeknik Kuching Sarawak. The objective of this project was to
develop an emergency event reporting system for Politenik Kuching
Sarawak. In addition, create an emergency incident dashboard to the
ERT or the party responsible for monitoring the incident. The last
objective, can make a notification by using web push to inform the
Director and ERT. The programming language used to produce this
project is use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as the front-end. As for the
back end we decided to use the PHP programming language that will
connect to the MySQL database server. While for the process of
developing this project, the methodology study using Rapid Application
Development model is used for production planning and project testing.

ABSTRACT
In Politeknik Kuching Sarawak, they did not have a First Aid Management
System. This will make it harder for the staff to request first aid with the
medical assistant. They must walk-in to request the first aid .This method
is time-consuming and inconvenient, at the same time difficult to comply
with the pandemic SOP. First Aid Management System is developed to
improve this situation. The staff can just request an items from the first
aid by fill the checklist through a contactless digital platform. This
platform is built by integrating web-based application with a centralized
database. The system is efficient and cost-effective. It digitalizes the
checklist record management and reduces paper-based book.

ABSTRACT
HelpMe is a mobile application based on Android platform that is
intended to help around people who is affected by pandemic Covid-
19 in their daily life. Basically, HelpMe provide an effective way to
people for ask a help to other who is volunteer to provide the
assistances likes basic food aid, daily necessities aid, baby daily
necessities aid and so on. Besides that, based on the concept “Give
a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you
feed him for a lifetime” which mean it is better to teach people how
to do something themselves than to just do it for them, so people
also allow to find a part time job via HelpMe as to solve their sources
of income. After this, to encourage people to help each other at this
difficult time, we have provided other function like Want To Help to
allow people provide their assistance, Set Up Aid Station to allow
people publish their location of food bank and supply the aids in
huge quantity, Need New Job to allow people find or offer a
opportunities of job to other.

ABSTRACT
The HIRARC Management Department of Politeknik Kuching
Sarawak still uses paper forms for risk assessment. This not
only wastes paper and is not environmentally friendly, but
also reduces efficiency and is easily damaged. Our project is
to create a digital platform for him to make the entire risk
assessment process paperless, while improving efficiency
and reducing the risk of damage. The platform will provide
digital form filling, automatic calculation, and storage in the
database. This enables Politeknik Kuching Sarawak's
HARARC Management to ensure the safety of the school,
teachers, students and all staff.

ABSTRACT
Members of Politeknik Kuching Sarawak's Entrepreneurial
Unit are still enrolled via a Google form.The coordinator is
having trouble identifying and locating student data using
Google Forms due to the enormous number of students.
Aside from that, the entrepreneurial unit lacks a systematic
method or platform for conveniently and swiftly storing data
and producing reports. This situation needs the creation of
a system that allows coordinators to easily access student
data and generate reports for members. As a result, the
iUsahawan PKS mobile application helps to improve the
present system by expediting the entrepreneurial member
registration process and allowing Unit coordinators to
quickly access each member's record.

ABSTRACT
Information and Digital Technology Department, Kuching
Sarawak Polytechnic still uses manuals and through social
media where lecturers need to spread the information to
students about JTMK course activities and post them on JTMK
course notice boards. Students have a problem to know the
JTMK course because now the covid-19 pandemic where new
students do not return to campus and only study online. Other
than that, new students face problems in terms of subjects,
subject code, lecturer info and the JTMK course program. Not
only students, lecturers also need to provide space for
information to students and explain. Therefore, the work of the
lecturers increased a lot. This situation needs to be resolved to
facilitate students and lecturers. As a result, JTMK Chatbot helps
to improve the condition of JTMK course with students being
able to ask Chatbot about JTMK course. Chatbot is enabled for
24 hours.

ABSTRACT
One of the challenges we've had since COVID-19's break is that
some people are ignorant of their health state and have failed to
visit to the hospital for a checkup due to the high procedure S.O.P.
The purpose of the project is to explore the use of internet of
things (IoT) to create a platform that helps us to detect an oxygen
rate, heart rate, and BMI on our own at home. The Android Mobile
Studio environments are provided to create the apps. The process
of measuring the oxygen rate and heart rate by using mobile
devices. This includes placing the finger on the back of the camera,
then hold the finger until measurement is complete, reading will
display on the screen.When your oxygen levels are low due to a
disease like COVID-19, your body's cells don't get enough oxygen to
do their usual functions. Every cell in your body requires oxygen to
function properly. The scope of this project is for people would do
self-monitor their health status wherever you are. It also improves
the awareness among us according to the new norm of pandemic.

ABSTRACT
The online media will facilitate the buyer in choosing the products
they want through the online shop. However, there are also
customers whom prefer personal shopper services than shopping
on the official online store by themselves. When people want to buy
a particular product, they often do not have idea where they can
purchase the items. Thus, it is troublesome for them when they
could not find the items at a store they’ve arrived and causing them
to have to travel to another store to find the items. This system also
help many industry that increase since covid-19 because no
customer want to go out to buying their item. So, this system to
help this industries to promote and sell by online shopping with
help by personal shopper. The development of this system limited
to Kuching, Sarawak area only and also help another small business
that new in business field. Website has successfully brought a great
impact on many industries.
PKS E-COUNSELLING SYSTEM

ABSTRACT
The counselling department at Politeknik Kuching Sarawak is still
utilising the traditional method of scheduling appointments for
students and PA. This technique is time-consuming since they must
contact the person who made the appointment and negotiate the
best day and time for the therapy session one at a time. It is
inconvenient since adhering to pandemic SOP is challenging. PKS E-
Counselling System was created to address this issue by keeping
track of booking records via a contactless digital platform. This
platform is created by combining a web-based application and a
centralised database. The method is both effective and cost-
effective. It increases security standards and data protection while
simplifying appointment record maintenance.

ABSTRACT
Task management is the process of monitoring works or tasks
through various stages into task to be completed. These process
are including the jot down list of tasks and alert with every due date
of the task and tracking the tasks’ progress. Using manual way by
using paper and pen to jot down any important tasks or works is a
time consuming and inconvenient method where they may have
lost the notes or disorganize list make it hard to catch up everything
in studying. PolyCat Task Tracker is developed to improve this
situation by keeping track task and managing time through mobile
application. This application will help students or other user
manage their task organize and time wisely. User can use this
application to manage their list of tasks or works anywhere and
anytime they want only just through mobile phone. This app also
displayed study tips and allowed user to create their own schedule.
User also can access any platform such as Wikipedia, Canva,
Youtube and google search and more through this mobile app.
Waterfall model is used to develop this mobile app. Questionnaires
and interview is carried out in order to collect information. This
application is only available in Android device.

to save their cost and expenses receipt by using log book.This
method is inconvenient and tend to face data loss .Sawit Budget
Tracker is developed to help those small oil palm farmers to keep
track their data,cost and expenses through an online
application.This application is easy to use,efficient and cost-
effective.

Online classes have been used by many lecturers nowadays
because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. But this spawns a lot of
problem especially interactive session and retrieving recorded
meeting. SDM Glass Classroom is developed to improve this
situation by increasing the interaction between students and
lecturers. This platform is built by web based-application with
cloud database. This system is cost-effective and efficient.

The project developer is the Kuching Sarawak Polytechnic (PKS)
Covaccine Status System for students, Academic Advisor (PA) and
Disaster Unit of PKS. PKSis theplace name of an educational
institution, Politeknik Kuching Sarawak. In addition, Covaccine is a
combination of Covid and Vaccine. This system can allowstudents
tofill the data so the PA and Disaster Units can see the students'

ABSTRACT
Measuring air quality is an important part of raising awareness
about the importance of caring for future generations and living a
healthier lifestyle. The Air Quality Index Monitoring System (AQI) is a
system that uses IoT platforms like Thingspeak to raise public
awareness about the dangers of air pollution in the environment.
The Air Quality Index monitoring system made use of a simple
platform called Thingspeak, which allowed anyone to see the Air
Quality Index at the site where the equipment was deployed.
Furthermore, the system is both cost-effective and time-efficient.
The system also includes a security system that sends out alerts to
the residents. Other than that, the AQI is displayed using an air
quality indicator with animation and colours for different index
categories. Reporting of pollutant accountable for index, pollutants
exceeding standards, and health consequences with facilitates are
among the other elements of the website.

The Auto Techno Pet Feeder is an automatic feeding machine designated for pets(cats), using applications inside
the phone device. Unfortunately, the business and limited time at work cause a lack of care and leave their pets
hungry. In addition, the machine is designated easily in order to save users time and energy to feed their pets.The
machine is designated by using an existing concept and is innovated with the addition of an internet connection on
the devices. This machine also serves to distribute food automatically according to the timer. Furthermore, the
machines available on the market usually operate manually, and most of them do not use IOT. With this Auto
Techno Pet Feeder, users can use it automatically and stop worrying about their pet's conditions. For those who
love pets, they will definitely choose this machine for their pets at home. Consumers are also not worried about
leaving their pets for a long period of time, such as going back to their hometown or working full time. Finally, it is
an effective way to enhance and utilize top and local users. As a result, the Auto Techno Pet Feeder is extremely

During this covid situation, we are taking a lot of precautions to

this project was basically to reduce the spread of the virus, when

that person is our doorbell, and it's not always possible to sanitise
everything around us. So why not transform our traditional bell into

issue by keeping track of fire extinguisher expiration dates. A
contact-less digital platform was used to keep track of all fire

spread. Hand Wash Timer is developed to improve this situation by
allowing user to wash their hand in a specific amount of time
without perform any physical contact with the device. This device is
built with Arduino board and some sensor with a waterproof case.
The system is efficient and easy to use. It manage to let people use
it continuously without making any physical contact with the
device.It also help the community to prevent the spread of Covid-19

pandemic standard operating procedure (SOP). Headcount System
is developed to help staff by monitoring and limit the of total
customer in store through a headcount system placed in the
entrance of the store. This platform is built by integrating mobile
application and web-based database. The hardware is built using
IoT components and sensor. The system is ef ficient and cost-
effective. It digitalizes the customer check-in and check-out record
management and reduces paper-based number card. It also
improves the security procedures according to the new norm of

The idea of this project introduces the development of an IoT
Based Garbage Monitoring by measuring the garbage level in real
time and to alert the collector whenever the bin is full. In this
system, we will put a sensor at side of the garbage bin which will
detect the total level of garbage inside it according to the total size
of the bin. By using the Blynk application, it can monitor the level of
garbage in the dustbin. which makes it easy to empty the dustbin
and optimize the garbage collection time. By using this system
people do not have to check all the systems manually but they will
get a notification when the bin gets filled. This project uses Arduino
Uno, ultrasonic sensor, ESP8266(Wi-Fi-Module) and Blynk
Application. This system will help in cleaning the city in a better way.

The unstable climate can be troublesome for people to dry clothes
outdoors such as rainy days. Sometimes, people often forget to
bring clothes on rainy days. Thus, the Smart Garment Shield (SGS)
was developed to protect the clothes from getting wet in the rain.
This product can detect the rain, humidity and temperature and
provide the protection for clothes from rain as the main function.
To make this product function properly, sensor modules are
required as raindrop sensor and DHT11 sensor (temperature and
humidity sensor). The advantage of this product is convenient, easy
to use and suitable to use anywhere.

ABSTRACT
Nowadays, security is the priority of everyone. The price of this
security stuffs is expensive. Therefore, we solve those problems by
developing a project that is called Smart Door Lock with Facial
Recognition which aims to make an automatic door lock where it
can recognize people and can automatically unlock the door when
the user fulfills the code requirement. In addition, it also will be
equipped with an Ultrasonic Distance Sensor. When there is no
detection of movement in a few seconds it will lock again. The code
will be powered with Raspberry Pi 4. As the configuration is
successful, we now have a low-cost door lock that implement a
facial recognition in it. The research has been done by interviewing
Madam Nazrina Binti Bakar, our project supervisor regarding her
opinion on this project.

This project was developed because to help user access data
about weather anywhere in real-time. Weather station is a
facility that can use for measuring atmospheric conditions like

weather forecasts and to study the weather and climate.
Weather station also a device that collects data related to the
weather and environment using many different sensors. Due to
the fact that without weather station, user can’t be alerted of
the strong winds, heat waves or any other weather related
emergency. This means that we need weather station to make
forecasts and collects data related to the weather. To overcome
the problems faced, there are techniques that can be
implemented to assist this project. This project will use Internet
of Things with sensors to build weather station. The weather
station can help provide data for forecasts. Once a weather
station is connected, user can view the history of information as
