Let t er from J im Brow n, CEO 3 FUG4729 HCA North Cypress Family: As you likely know, a new hospital will open in Cypress this month. Events such as this create great uncertainty. As this date has neared, sensitivity to our changing market has increased. Our challenge in this moment is to remain focused and steadfast. Just as that hospital has been years in development, so too has been our preparation and strategic response. We are well prepared and confronting this challenge from a position of strength. We have a strong history in this community and have spent years building a special culture which will sustain us. Our community and our medical staff will not forget that we have been here for them. North Cypress will remain a special place to work. Our strategy for serving this market has evolved so that we can enlarge our service area instead of simply conceding what we’ve historically known. We are blessed to live and work in one of the most-thriving and rapidly growing areas in the country. As such, there is room for additional providers. If you look at the evolution of markets like The Woodlands, Sugar Land, and Katy, all providers have grown as the markets have evolved. This will likely be the story of Cypress in the decade to come. While I will acknowledge that these are unsettling times, I also will share with you that I am confident in our future and the role we will play long-term in this region. I am grateful for you and am excited about our future.

HCA North Cypress is further enhancing its expertise with the launch of a new hypertension program specifically designed for patients whose blood pressure has not improved despite attempts to manage it. Our first procedure was February 19, 2025 with Dr. Alamaddine! Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a condition where the force of blood against artery walls is consistently too high, putting extra strain on the heart and blood vessels. It often has no symptoms, earning it the nickname "silent killer." If left unmanaged, hypertension can lead to serious health problems, including heart disease, stroke, and kidney damage.
