While these sessions will not be mandatory, I am adding sessions because I think that you will find this content very interesting. In our January meetings, we will review the hospital’s upcoming expansion plans. We will be highlighting both programmatic growth as well as new services. Additionally, we will provide an overview of campus expansion and the broadscale renovations occurring within our professional buildings. In addition to these positive changes, we’ll discuss implications on such areas as parking. Once the schedule is finalized, it will be sent out via email. I hope that you can join me.

I would like to nominate Tracy Johnson and Kristi Read, who as a team, took care of my father Virendra Jain, while he was going through Radiation Oncology doctor's visits, PET scans, and 35 sittings of radiation. For the very first day, Tracy and Kristi were committed to making my father well. The first day, they said to my dad that they would not let him leave the HCA facility without getting rid of his cancer. Both were so jolly, making up upbeat and providing positive energy. They took care of him so well during the visits. Anytime we needed a prescription, they would help. They provided invaluable advice on pain management and so many other things. They both used to respond to my emails after hours too. They went above and beyond their professional boundary and provided me with their cell phone if I had any urgent need to call. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for my father and our family. They even followed up periodically even after my father's radiation was over on May 11. I can narrate so many other incidents where they went above and beyond their professional boundaries to put us at ease or help us find things. I visited 10 different facilities in connection to my father's treatment (Surgery, visits, Chemo, etc.) and realized how much can a good nurse make a difference in a patient's treatment. While we are in wait and watching the situation for my father's cancer, my father & I look forward to meeting both of them when we go for our next PET scan in August. I had the pleasure of being cared for by Defonda while at HCA North Cypress and have never received better care. Defonda was thorough in all she did from the time she entered my room until she left after seeing I got a complete shower (does a great shampoo and back scrub), a clean bed & and a clean room, all without asking. She never left the room without asking each guest (if present) if they needed anything like ice for their bottles. Everyone was called by name to make them feel welcome & comfortable.
