The HCA Healthcare Hope Fund is excited to announce an opportunity, brought to you by the
Hope Fund and nonprofit SaverLife. The Hope Fund Savers Program is designed to make financial
security easy and fun, to help colleagues build their emergency savings and learn positive savings
behaviors. Registration opens May 12, 2021.

By participating in the 6-month Savers program, eligible colleagues receive:
• Access to fun and relevant articles from certified financial coaches so you can master your money

saving habits.
• Savings match up to $40 a month for six months, plus $20 for joining and linking your bank

account. That means up to $500 just for saving your own money!
• Reminders and nudges to meet your goals for saving.
• Colleagues may visit HCA Healthcare Hope Fund to find out more and determine if they are

eligible to participate. The program is open to colleagues with a household earning at or less than
400% Federal Poverty level. For a family of four, this means an annual household income under
$104,801. To participate, colleagues will be required to submit proof of their household income.
• Due to limited funding, the Hope Fund cannot guarantee spaces and reserve the right to limit
participation on a first come, first serve basis.

We need your help in sharing this program with colleagues at your facility, and we have the
resources you need to do so. Email and newsletter templates, huddle cards and toolkit materials
are available on MediaWorks. Please utilize the materials to share this program with your front
line staff!

The one-year anniversary of George Floyd's death reminds us to reflect on how that tragedy served as an
accelerator to strengthen our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts for our patients, colleagues, and communities.
Although our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion started long before last summer, we have raised the
bar by advancing our work in this space through a more sustainable, data-driven approach.

Significant accomplishments include, but are not limited to:
• Aligning with additional strategic partners to advance health equity, including a commitment to invest $10

million toward expanding relationships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-
Serving Institutions (HSIs)
• Setting quantifiable goals related to diverse talent acquisition as well as representation in our leadership
development programs and key talent programs
• Training and equipping our leaders to recognize different types of unconscious biases and preparing them with
practical skills and resources to support all colleagues
• Focusing on efforts and building out resources to strengthen our hospital boards to better reflect the
communities we serve

We have made tremendous progress on our promises to ensure equity from the inside out, largely thanks to our
colleagues’ engagement and feedback and our leadership’s commitment to transformative action. Just as we
united in the fight against COVID-19, we joined together to tackle issues that create barriers to fulfilling our
mission: above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. Please see the attached
infographic that provides additional insight into our progress over the past year.

The year 2020 was definitely challenging, but we demonstrated incredible resilience and an effective response to
each challenge. As we continue the evolving journey toward a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, let
