Letter from Jim Brown, CEO

“Be the best…” It is our desire to make HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress the best place to
work in this region. My goal is that we create an environment so fulfilling and enjoyable that we
can fairly say someday that this is the best job we ever had.

I believe this is important for many reasons. I believe that if we enjoy our work and are fulfilled by it
that our personal lives are enriched. I think this makes us better spouses and parents when we are
away from here. I believe that a positive patient experience emanates from a team who is happy
with their work environment. I believe that this satisfaction drives peak performance and therefore
our environment impacts the quality of care we provide. I believe that if this is a great place to
work that people will stay here a long time and that it will not be difficult to attract talented people
who want to join our team.

Beginning May 13, you will have the opportunity to participate in our initial employee engagement
survey. This should be a simple process and will not require much of your time. The tool is app-
based and consists of 12 straightforward questions. Our survey process will occur more often than
once a year. This is important as it will provide us more real-time feedback as to whether we are
continuing to make North Cypress a better place to work.

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress Scrubs 8

We are finally getting close to our new branded scrubs! We
hope to have them available on the Cintas website by
June 3rd. We will be setting up fitting rooms in the Founders
Conference room on June 26th,27th and 28th. At these fitting
sessions, you will have the ability to try on the different styles
of scrubs to ensure a proper fit before placing your order.

On the next slide there are different brands and styles of
scrubs that will be available for purchase. Once you are
registered on the Cintas website, scrubs will be available
and delivered to your house. The goal is to have our dress
code policy in place for a go live date of August 1st.
