Let t er from J im Brow n, CEO 3 North Cypress Family, I am excited to share that the hospital has been approved for a $100 million expansion. A new tower will be constructed in what is presently the physicians’ parking lot. The tower will be three stories and house a new acute rehabilitation program, a med/surg unit, and an expansion of the Central Sterile Processing Department. This project will allow for the expansion of critical care beds within our current space which will be critical to our growth of high-acuity clinical programs. The tower has been designed with future expansion in mind and could house additional floors as well as operating rooms when needed. Patient parking will be expanded on what was the landscaping business to our northwest. An additional bridge will be constructed over the bayou and shuttle services will be expanded. At present, we are awaiting final permitting and hope to start soon. During construction, parking will be a challenge. We have not yet finalized our interim parking plan, but will share this prior to the start of construction. This project will allow HCA North Cypress to continue to meet the needs of this rapidlygrowing area which we have served for seventeen years.

These type of events are encouraged to be reported by placing an event in Meditech. Each month, these are reviewed and one is chosen to receive the “Great Catch Award”. All staff members are responsible for patient safety standards but this award recognizes a staff member that demonstrates an exceptional commitment to patient safety.
