HCA North Cypress Family: This week, we concluded the follow-up visit associated with our Joint Commission (JCAHO) triennial survey. We have been reaccredited. JCAHO is the agency that certifies us for participation in the Medicare program thus this is a critical survey process. It is arduous and consumes a great deal of time and energy. I would like to thank our Quality Department for guiding us through this survey and call out our Facilities team for all their work to ensure that our buildings were up to standard. I am excited to announce that Wesley Bamburg has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress effective July 8, 2024. A 10-year veteran of HCA Healthcare, Bamburg has served as chief operating officer and ethics and compliance officer at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center since October 2019. Prior to that role, Bamburg held several positions within hospital operations following five years of service as HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division's Vice President of Payer Contracting and Alignment. As a key team member transitioning an acquisition hospital to HCA Healthcare, Bamburg was responsible for standardizing the hospital’s operations and led the strategic execution of the hospital’s $150M Master Campus Plan capital project. Under his guidance, the hospital experienced exponential growth in key areas, including Cardiovascular, Cath Lab, Robotics, Colorectal and Surgical Oncology. Bamburg has served as the American Heart Association’s Executives with Heart Chair for the past two years. He is board-certified in healthcare management and recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Bamburg completed HCA’s Executive Development Program and was awarded the Outstanding Capstone Presentation for the Class of 2020. Bamburg attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University on an athletic scholarship, earning his Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. Bamburg and his wife Jeanna are the parents of two young adults, Fisher & Claire, who are in college. Please help me congratulate Wesley on his new role and welcome him to our North Cypress family
We are pleased to announce that Carley Childs has accepted the Director of Communications and Community Engagement position at HHH North Cypress. Her official start date was Monday, May 13th. She will partner with the Gulf Coast Division team to support the Cypress/Cy-Fair community with their internal and external communications and community engagement efforts. Carley started at HCA North Cypress in April of 2022. In her tenure here, she has overseen the administration office and internal marketing efforts. She has been a huge support to me and I appreciate the countless hours she has spent supporting our facility. Carley resides in Katy, TX with her husband John David, and their two children, Sawyer (7) and Sunny (3).
