These sessions provide me an opportunity to introduce new leaders, discuss process changes, and share how we are reinvesting in the facility. I’ll also discuss upcoming events including our Hospital Week schedule. Out of respect for your time, these session do not exceed 30 minutes. 12 GETTING TO KNOW YOUR HCA NORTH CYPRESS MANAGER Denise Havens Manager, Business Development & Scheduling Services Family: My husband Ronnie and I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary in September (hopefully somewhere tropical). Son, Josh 29. Daughter, Robyn 27 and two grand babies, Zane 7 and Harper 4. I also have a rescue diva named Abbey who is a very spoiled 11 yr old rat terrier and two homeless cats, Charlie and Simon. Favorite Color: Coral Favorite Quote: I’m too blessed to be stressed. Hobbies: Traveling, camping, Christmas baking, and Nascar. Interesting Fact: My first job was at a KFC in southern California where I became their youngest asst. manager at 17. Favorite HCA Memory: The festival of cultures are always memorable. 13 GETTING TO KNOW YOUR HCA NORTH CYPRESS EMPLOYEES Jessica Bruno-Fagbemi House Supervisor Family: Married to Brian Fagbemi for 3 years this month, we have a 2-yearold son Adriel and a fur baby Duke a 13-year-old miniature Schnauzer. Favorite Color: I wish I could wear all white all the time, I love the clean look of it. I'm starting to embrace more colors in my life, and orange is a top contender. Favorite Quote: Can I have more than one? lol The bible is full of inspiration and great quotes... "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." Mathew 6:27 "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31 Hobbies: Sleeping is my absolute favorite thing to do, but lately I have been loving my peloton. Singing/Karaoke, and swimming round out the top spots. Interesting Fact: My family is full of cowboy and cowgirls. My grandfather started the Triangle 7 arena, the Northeast trail ride association and was a founding member of the Prairie View Trail riders. He was invited to be a Houston livestock show and rodeo board member. I rode horses all my life and grew up raising livestock. Favorite HCA Memory: The annual cultural festival is my favorite event of the year. I love how much effort everyone puts into making their tent the best. The food is always great, and the comradery is so wonderful to see. HCA Tenure: 5 years People

GTO4898 Valerie Patterson Nurse Navigator I am reaching out to share with you the truly amazing experience I am having working with Valerie Patterson as my Nurse Navigator. I'm sure you have many excellent employees. In my opinion, Valerie has an extra something that isn't commonly found in employees who are "just doing their job". Before I retired I was an Executive Admin and I know the function of our positions is similar - you keep the processes moving. People's lives depend on speedy resolution and she manages to pull it off without you feeling that way. She has passion and thinks of her patients' needs first. Right after I was diagnosed with breast cancer Valerie reached out to me immediately and created a life-line while my head was still spinning. People who go above and beyond seldom blow their own horns. I want to be the one to blow the horn for her. Nurse Navigators make such a huge difference, especially ones like Valerie. I am so grateful that I have a resource during a scary time with lots of appointments, lots of processes, and a ton of cooks in the kitchen. I feel hopeful and less afraid. If you ever need a testimonial on why the Nurse Navigator role is essential, I'm your girl. We could not have navigated this on our own. I have worked in large corporations before and I understand how challenging communication across organizations and processes is. These type of events are encouraged to be reported by placing an event in Meditech. Each month, these are reviewed and one is chosen to receive the “Great Catch Award”.
