IN OUR COMMUNITY

PAST:
MISSION FISHIN’

We have fallen in love with everything Mission Fishin
stands for and does for our local youth. At their Golden
Reel Gala we were so happy to present them with a $10,000
check, thanks to ALL OF YOU who supported the Chef
Shakedown event last month.

ANNUAL NOVEMBER FOOD DRIVE

November is a time of thanks and of giving. For the 3rd year in
a row, we will once again be collecting food in our lobby to be
delivered prior to Thanksgiving Day to a local deserving
charity.
This year, we have decided to give donations to ‘The Pantry of
Broward’ located in Fort Lauderdale. This local pantry serves
seniors in need living on low, fixed incomes and grandparents
raising their grandchildren throughout Broward County.
Each year, the Pantry needs more than 300 frozen turkeys so
that it can provide its clients with an additional food box during
the month of November complete with a 10 to 12 pound turkey
and the fixings needed for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
*Please drop off your nonperishable items any day between
November 1st – November 18th. If you wish to drop off a
frozen turkey or other perishable item, please do so between
November 15th – November 18th only. We will also be happy
to take monetary donations which will be used to purchase
frozen turkeys on the 18th.

CRUISING GROUP

We would like to invite the entire club membership at LHYPC to join us on a sea cruise!
Plans are in the making for a February or March cruise… details to follow soon in club emails. What a great time to look forward
to. The plans so far are to cruise in the Caribbean Sea for about 5 days. As always, children will be welcome!

There will be no cruise club meeting in December.

Plans are under way for cruise club adventures on our coast for
this winter. We will keep you posted. We are going to Chub Cay
when the gulf is down late spring, a spectacular place to go. We
have many reports that Port Lucaya is operating after the
Hurricane at full speed. Our last trip there was a great success
and enjoyed by all.

So keep an eye open for information on upcoming events in our
weekly email blasts.
