Welcome to Lighthouse Point Yacht Club! It is the mission of LHPYC to be a premier private club
and to provide exceptional social and recreational experiences to our Members and Guests.
FLAGSHIP MEMBERSHIP PLAN & POLICIES
OWNERSHIP OF THE CLUB
The recreational facilities available at the Club are owned and operated by the
Lighthouse Yacht Club Investments, LLC doing business as Lighthouse Point Yacht
Club.
CLUB FACILITIES
The recreational facilities available at the Club for use by its members (the “Club
Facilities”) include the following:
THE CLUBHOUSE. The Clubhouse consists of the Regatta Room for dining, the
Captain's Quarters Lounge, four banquet rooms including the Commodore Room,
the State Room and Card Room, and the Crow’s Nest.
THE TENNIS FACILITIES. The tennis facilities include Har-Tru tennis courts for
day and night play and a tennis pro shop.
THE SPA & FITNESS CENTER. The Spa & Fitness Center offers a
cardiovascular area, aerobic equipment and weight room as well as an exercise room.
Steam room, sauna, showers and lockers are also available.
THE SWIMMING FACILITIES. The swimming facilities include a temperature-
controlled, junior Olympic size swimming pool and snack bar.
MARINA
In addition to the Club Facilities, Lighthouse Point Yacht Club Investments, LLC.
also owns a 78-slip marina adjacent to the Club Facilities. The marina is located one
and a half miles north of the Hillsboro Inlet and two miles south of the Boca Inlet,
between markers 68 and 68A. Dockage accommodations range from 30 to 100 feet
with all the essentials. The yacht slips are available for lease by members at preferred
pricing,asapproved by the Club.
IMPROVEMENTS TO CLUB FACILITIES AND MEMBER ACTIVITIES
The Club is committed to providing its members with personalized services,
activities and facilities. As a result, improvements and additions to the Club Facilities
will be an ongoing process.

CLUB RULES
FLAGSHIP MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES
FLAGSHIP MEMBERSHIP
The Club offers one category of membership called a "Flagship Membership". In
order to provide greater exclusivity and availability of all facilities and services to the
members, the Club is offering a limited number of Flagship Memberships. The
maximum number of Flagship Memberships will be limited to the extent of the
capacity of the Club Facilities, as determined by the Club. The Club may offer
additional categories of membership such as, but not limited to, Junior Membership
Senior Membership, and Seasonal Membership on terms and conditions established
by the Club. These defined categories of Memberships are held to the same code of
conduct and policies of Flagship Memberships, unless approved by the Club.
FLAGSHIP PRIVILEGES
All the above Categorical Memberships are entitled to use all of the Club Facilities
including the clubhouse, tennis facilities, Spa & Fitness Center, swimming facilities,
and marina facilities.
Flagship Membership privileges are subject to the Rules and Regulations, as amended
from time to time. In order to meet the changing needs and desires of all members, the
Club reserves the right to establish different membership categories and to establish
different rules governing access, advance sign-up privileges and guest privileges with
respect to the Club Facilities.
RESIGNATION OF FLAGSHIP MEMBERSHIPS
All Categorical Members may resign their memberships only to the Club, except as
specifically set forth below. Memberships are not saleable, transferable, or
assignable. Resignations will become effective on the first day of the month
following date written notice of resignation is received by the Club. No dues, fees
and other charges paid in advance will be refunded upon resignation. All amounts
owed to the Club, including any installment payments owed to the Club pursuant to
any promissory note for payment of the Membership Fee, shall become immediately
due and payable on the effective date of resignation. All Flagship Membership
privileges shall terminate on the effective date of resignation. Any Membership Fee
paid for a Flagship Membership is not refundable upon resignation.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, certain Flagship Memberships issued prior to
October 5, 1999 were issued upon payment of a refundable Membership Fee. Those
Flagship Memberships will continue to be refundable as provided in the
Membership Plan in effect prior to October 5, 1999.

PRIVILEGES OF FAMILY MEMBERS
A Flagship Membership entitles the immediate family of the member to use the Club
Facilities. A Flagship Member's immediate family includes the member's spouse,
significant other, and the unmarried children of each spouse under the age of twenty-five
and who are living at home, attending school on a full-time basis or a member of the
armed forces.
GUEST PRIVILEGES
A Flagship Member is permitted to have guests use the Club Facilities in accordance with all
of the guest Rules and Regulations. See Guest Policy on Page 11.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF MEMBERSHIP RIGHTS
Memberships are not an investment in the Club nor does it provide an equity or
ownership interest in the Club or the Club Facilities. The Club Facilities are owned
solely by Lighthouse Point Yacht Club Investments, LLC. Members are not responsible
for the costs and expenses of owning or operating the Club Facilities. As such, members
of the Club will not be entitled to vote on any Club matters or otherwise become
involved in the management or operation of the Club. Membership in the Club does not
confer upon any member a vested or prescriptive right or easement to use the Club
Facilities. The member is acquiring a revocable license to use the Club Facilities, in
accordance with the terms and conditions of this Membership Plan, as the same may be
amended from time to time, and the member’s Application for Flagship Membership
Privileges. The Club reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to discontinue
operation of any or all of the Club Facilities, to sell or otherwise dispose of the Club
Facilities in any manner whatsoever and to any person whomsoever, to convert the Club
into an equity member-owned club, to issue or terminate any type of membership, and
make any other changes in the terms and conditions of this Membership Plan or the
Club Facilities available for use by members.
If the Club Facilities are sold to a third party not affiliated with the Club, the Flagship
Memberships will either continue in accordance with this Membership Plan or the
memberships will be terminated.
FLAGSHIP MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY

ELIGIBILITY FOR FLAGSHIP MEMBERSHIP
Flagship Memberships will be available to persons who are approved for membership
and pay the required non-refundable Initiation Fee. The number of Flagship
Memberships is limited and eligibility for membership is subject to availability. The Club
Management will review all Applications for Flagship Membership and will make the
determination whether to approve or disapprove an application.
This Club prohibits discrimination against harassment of any member because of race,
creed, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender
identity and expression, veteran status or any other characteristic protected under
applicable federal or state law.
RESERVED MEMBERSHIPS
The Club reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reserve Flagship Memberships for
issuance to any person designated by the Club from time to time. Reserved
memberships shall not be considered to be available memberships and the Club shall
not be compelled to issue a reserved membership.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Persons who wish to acquire a Flagship Membership to use the Club Facilities are
required to apply for membership and pay the non-refundable Initiation Fee.
Applications for Flagship Membership Privileges are available at the Club
Membership Office. Applicants must deliver, mail, or email to the Membership &
Communications Director, 2701 Northeast 42nd Street, Lighthouse Point, Florida
33064: (i) the completed and signed Application for Flagship Membership; (ii) a
check made payable to Lighthouse Point Yacht Club for the Initiation Fee; Dues,
and other required fees as provided by the Membership Office; and (iii) family
photograph.
APPLICATION FOR FLAGSHIP MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES
Completed Applications for Membership will be reviewed and acted upon in the sole
and absolute discretion of the Club. If the applicant is accepted, the Club will send the
applicant a notification of acceptance. The applicant will not be entitled to use the Club
Facilities as a member or enjoy any of the privileges of membership until payment of the
required Initiation Fee and Dues. An applicant whose application is not acted upon
favorably by the Club will have any payment made to the Club returned, without
interest.
AFFIRMATION OF OFFERING
If approved for Membership in the Club, the applicant agrees to be bound by the

terms and conditions of this Membership Plan, as amended from time to time, and
irrevocable agrees to fully substitute the membership privileges acquired pursuant to
this Membership Plan for any present or prior rights in or to use the Club Facilities.
No person has been authorized to give any information or make any representations
not contained in this Membership Plan or the Application for Flagship Membership,
and if given or made, such information must not be relied upon as having been
authorized by the Club.
CLUB CHARGES
MEMBERSHIP YEAR
The Club's membership year shall constitute the twelve-month period commencing
January 1 and ending on December 31, unless otherwise established by the Club
from time to time.
INITIATION FEE
A Flagship Membership applicant will pay an Initiation Fee in the amount
determined by the Club from time to time, in its sole and absolute discretion. The
Initiation Fee will be payable in the manner set forth in the Application for
Membership.
If any of the following events occur, the Initiation Fee will not be repaid to the
member: (i) sale, conveyance, or other transfer of all or substantially all of the Club
Facilities and the buyer of the Club Facilities elects to terminate the Flagship
Memberships, in the buyer's sole and absolute discretion, (ii) discontinuance of
operation of all or substantially all of the Club Facilities, or (iii) discontinuance of all
memberships.
FLAGSHIP MEMBERSHIPS ARE FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES
Memberships in the Club are being offered exclusively for the purpose of permitting
persons acquiring a membership to obtain recreational use of the Club Facilities.
Memberships should not be viewed or obtained as an investment and no person
obtaining membership privileges should expect to derive any economic profits from
membership in the Club.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE MINIMUM
Flagship Members are not currently required to pay a food and beverage minimum. The
Club reserves the right to implement this in the future.
DUES AND OTHER CHARGES
Each year the Club will determine the dollar amount of dues, charges and fees to be
payable by all members. Dues will be payable as billed.
The current year's dues are set forth on the Schedule of Dues and Charges. The amount

of dues for subsequent years is subject to change. Dues are payable in the manner
determined, from time to time, by the Club. A discount or other incentives may be
offered to encourage advance payment of annual dues.
Failure to pay dues in a timely manner shall be grounds for suspension or termination of
Membership, without refund of any portion of the Initiation Fee or Dues. When a
membership is issued in the name of more than one person, each person will be jointly
and severally liable for all dues, fees and other charges and liabilities associated with the
membership.
LIMITATION ON DUES INCREASES FOR FLAGSHIP MEMBERS
Dues increases for any membership year will not exceed 8% unless the increase is
justified by increased operating costs or capital expenses.
TRANSFER OF FLAGSHIP MEMBERSHIP UPON DEATH
Upon the death of a LHPYC Member, the surviving spouse, if any, may continue
membership privileges without the payment of any additional Initiation Fee. If the
Flagship Member is not survived by a spouse, the member may bequeath the
membership to an individual designated in the member's will, without the payment of
any additional Membership Fees, by providing the Club with appropriate documentation
executed by the member's personal representative. This privilege is available only one
time after issuance of the Flagship Membership. A person who acquires a Flagship
Membership pursuant to this privilege may not bequeath the Flagship Membership
upon their death. If the member does not bequeath the Flagship Membership or is not
eligible to bequeath the Flagship Membership, then the membership will be deemed by
the Club to be resigned.
LEGAL SEPARATION OR DIVORCE OF MARRIED MEMBERS
In the event married members are legally separated or divorced, title to the Flagship
Membership, including all rights and benefits given to the holder thereof, shall vest in
the spouse awarded the membership by agreement or court decree. Both divorced or
legally separated persons shall be required to give written notice to the Club
designating the person who is entitled to the membership privileges immediately
after the divorce or legal separation. Until written notice has been provided to the
Club, both spouses shall remain jointly responsible for the payment of all dues and
other fees associated with such membership. In the event a married couple is
separated, both spouses must identify which Individual will be entitled to the
membership privileges after separation.
NO ASSESSMENTS AGAINST MEMBERS
Members will not be subject to any liability for capital or operating assessments for
the costs and expenses of ownership or operation of the Club or the Club Facilities.
The Club will pay all operating deficits incurred in the operation of the Club
Facilities and will retain all operating profits resulting from operation of the Club
Facilities. The payment of dues, fees, state taxes, service charges, personal and such

other charges for membership privileges as the Club may establish from time to
time in its sole and absolute discretion and is not a capital or operating assessment.
PROMOTIONAL USE OF CLUB FACILITIES
The Club has the right to designate other persons, including without limitation,
persons who are employees of the Club and persons who are not members of the
Club, to use any or all of the Club Facilities upon such terms and conditions as may
be determined from time to time by the Club. The Club reserves the right, in its sole
and absolute discretion, to restrict or to otherwise reserve the Club Facilities for
maintenance purposes, tournament play and other special events including functions
at which individuals who are not members of the Club may attend from time to
time.
USE OF OTHER CLUB FACILITIES
The Club may permit the use of the Club Facilities by members of other clubs and the
use of the recreational facilities of other clubs by members of the Club. The terms of
use and the fees to be paid for these reciprocal use privileges will be established by the
Club.
CLUB OPERATIONS
MANAGEMENT, CONTROL OF CLUB FACILITIES & OPERATIONS
The Lighthouse Point Yacht Club Investments, LLC doing business as Lighthouse
Point Yacht Club will manage and operate the Club Facilities.
ADVISORY BOARD OF GOVERNORS
The Club has established an Advisory Board of Governors which serves as a liaison
between Club management and the members of the Club. The Advisory Board of
Governors will have no duty or power to negotiate or otherwise act on behalf of the Club,
its management or the members of the Club and will serve only in an advisory capacity. The
management of the Club will have the final authority on all matters concerning the Club
Facilities and the members of the Club.
COMMITTEES
The management of the Club will appoint committees consisting of Club members from
time to time to assist in implementing programs and coordinating activities for members.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
General ClubRules
Members and their guests shall abide by all rules and regulations of the Club as they may
be amended from time to time.
The Club Facilities shall be open on the days and during the hours established by the
Club. The Club reserves the right to close the clubhouse and the other recreational
facilities to hold promotional and special events. Areas of the Club may also be closed
from time to time for scheduled maintenance and repairs.
Performance by entertainers shall be permitted on the Club Facilities only with the
permission of Club Management.
Dining room activities for groups shall be permitted with the permission of Club
Management.
Alcoholic beverages shall not be served or sold, nor permitted to be consumed on the
premises during hours prohibited by law or be sold for off-premises consumption.
Alcoholic beverages shall not be sold or served to any person not permitted to purchase
the same under the laws of the State of Florida and any and all ordinances or county
regulations. All alcoholic beverages consumed or otherwise possessed on the Club
Facilities must be purchased at the Club.
Commercial advertisements or solicitations shall not be posted or circulated in the Club
without the prior approval of the General Manager.
It is contrary to the policy of the Club to have the facilities used for functions or
fundraising efforts for the benefit of a political cause, unless approved by the Club. No
solicitation shall be made on the premises of the Club to sign petitions and/or pass out
campaign materials. The Club Facilities shall not be used in connection with organized
religious services or other activities unless approved by the General Manager.
All food and beverages consumed on the Club Facilities must be furnished by the Club.
Employees are permitted to deliver food or alcoholic beverages to locations away from
the immediate area of the clubhouse and pool only with the permission of the General
Manager. Members must not request special personal services from employees of the
Club who are on duty.
Members and their guests may not abuse any of the employees, verbally or otherwise.
Foul and/or abusive language will not be tolerated at the Club. All service employees are
under the supervision of the General Manager and/or the Clubhouse Manager and no
member or guest shall reprimand or discipline any employee or send any employee

off the Club Facilities for any reason. Any employee not rendering courteous and
prompt service should be reported to the General Manager immediately.
In an effort to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for all of our members and
their guests, pets are not permitted inside the Club Facilities.
Beginning November 1, 2019, no pets are allowed in the Clubhouse, especially in the
dining room or pool, under any circumstance. The only exception is for service animals
specifically trained to perform a health-related task. Pets are allowed on the outdoor
patio. Per Florida State Law, pets may not sit on furniture/laps or eat off plates.
Members are responsible for any damage caused by an animal owned by the member or
under the member's control. All animals must be leashed, and all handlers are expected
to pick up animal waste.
Self-parking is permitted in areas identified as such. No parking will be allowed on
grassed areas. "No Parking" signs must be observed.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the clubhouse, on the decks and dock. Please be considerate to
those who have allergies to secondhand smoke.
Firearms and other weapons of any kind are not permitted on the Club Facilities at
any time.
All complaints, criticisms or suggestions of any kind relating to the operations of the
Club can be noted and added to our “Suggestion Box” located in the Lobby.
Violation of any of these rules or conduct in a manner prejudicial to the best
interests of the Club shall subject the person in violation to disciplinary action.
The Club reserves the right to amend or modify these Rules and Regulations when
necessary and shall notify the membership of any change.
Service of any nature may be refused to a member or guest whose conduct is
unbecoming of a member of the Club.
The personnel of the Club have full authority to enforce these Rules and
Regulations, and any infractions will be reported to the General Manager.
Membership Cards
A membership card indicating a club account number and the category of
membership shall be issued to the member as well as other eligible members of the
family upon payment of the appropriate dues by the member. Membership cards
should be carried while on the Club premises. Membership cards are not
transferable.

Each member's card shall be held in the Membership Office until the member
collects the card in person. A membership card may be mailed to the member at the
member's request.
A membership card may not be used by any person other than the person to whom
it is issued. Failure to comply with this rule may result in suspension or termination
of membership privileges.
All food, beverage, merchandise and services of the Club charged to the member's
club account shall be billed monthly and each member's club account shall be due
and payable upon receipt of the monthly statement. Members' club accounts shall
be considered delinquent if not paid in full within thirty days after the date of the
monthly statement. For all delinquent accounts, the Club may establish a service
charge that shall be added to the member's next monthly statement. Past due bills
will also accrue interest per month at 1 and ½ % per month or 18% per year.
Guest Policy
Members are encouraged to bring friends to the Club. It is expected that this privilege will
not be abused, and such guests should not attend the Club more than twice a month, with
the exceptions being for private parties or Club events. The Member must accompany
his/her guest. Members are responsible for their guests conforming to the rules of the Club,
including proper attire and incurred charges. Member Guests may pay by cash or credit card,
if the member notifies management in advance. This policy will change after the new
clubhouse is built.
Guest Cards
If the Member would like for the Guest to visit the Club without the Member being present,
the Member must call for a reservation in advance and set up a Guest Card. Charges
incurred can be applied to the Member Account or charged to the Guest’s credit card.
Children
Member children under 25 years of age can charge to the Member account. Children over 25
years of age may visit the Club with their parents or current Member twice per month. We
encourage Member-Children to join the Junior Flagship Membership program. Children
under 21 are permitted in the Lounge as long as they stay seated at a table.
Reciprocity
Members from recognized Yacht Clubs (and their guests aboard) may visit the Club for a
maximum duration of one consecutive week (seven consecutive days) in a six-month period
or four times per year.

Card Players
If a Guest is needed to play Bridge or other card games, the Guest must be accompanied by
a Member and either have lunch or pay a $10 Guest Fee. All Guests must sign into the
Guest Book upon each visit. Card Playing Guests must abide by the Guest Policy and can
only play with a Member at the Club twice per month or join the Club.
Resigned Member
Effective February 9, 2018, a former Member who has resigned from the Club shall not be
extended guest privileges for a period of two years since their date of resignation. After the
two-year period, a former/resigned member may visit the Club with a current Member twice
per month on the Member Account. Former/Resigned Members must adhere to all Member
Guests policies.
Reprimands of Flagship Members
All Flagship and Categorical Members must follow the designated rules listed in the
handbook and other regulations stated by the Club. If a Member is found to be not in
accordance with the rules, the Club has permission to reprimand said Member. The situation
will be brought before board for review and discussion. Club Management will hold the
final authority as to how to proceed. If a member is written up for a rule violation, it will be
filed in their membership folder. If a member accumulates more than three written notices,
the Club holds the right to terminate their membership from the Club. No refunds will be
issued.
Dress Code/Etiquette
Members, guests, and visitors are expected to wear proper and respectful attire in the bar
and dining areas. While inside the Clubhouse, sweat soaked clothing, wet bathing suits, cut
off shorts, and ripped to teared jeans are not permitted.
For lunch, men’s and women’s attire should be smart/casual. Shorts should not be shorter
than mid-thigh length. Sports attire is acceptable including caps/hats.
For dinner, gentlemen are required to wear collared shirts, dress slacks, regular jeans, or
Bermuda length dress shorts. Open toe sandals, slides, or flip flops are not permitted for
men.
For dinner, ladies should wear cocktail/dressy casual attire is requested. Open toe shoes are
permitted for women.
For special events/private parties, dress should be appropriate to the theme of the event or
the request of the host.

For the pool area, all Members and guests must wear Club appropriate bathing attire.
Cheeky, thong-style bathing suits for ladies are not considered appropriate bathing attire and
are not permitted. Appropriate bathing suit cover-ups are required outside the pool deck.
Sheer or fishnet cover-ups are not considered appropriate and are not permitted.
Cell phones must always remain in silent mode in the dining room and lounge. Any calls
should be taken outside of the dining room or lounge. It is preferred that all electronic
devices be used outdoors, away from the dining areas at the Club. Members and guests may
receive and send text messages, emails and use the available secure Wi-Fi connection on
devices provided no voice communication takes place and speakers and ringers are silenced.
Be aware that many of our guests have allergies or are sensitive to certain scents, therefore
please be mindful with use of body lotions, sprays, perfumes, or colognes.
MARINA LAWS
(o) Marina at the Yacht Club
(1) The following are permitted uses for the Marina at the Yacht Club:
a. Boat mooring at a dock or slip, limited to a maximum capacity of seventy-eight
(78) vessels restricted to use by members in good standing of a Yacht Club or
Transient Boats and the Boat Club
b. Transient fueling, Boat Detailing, Transient pump out, provisioning and minor
repair and maintenance
c. Liveaboard vessels, only if pump out stations are available
d. One charter boat, not to carry more than twelve (12) passengers while moored
or underway
e. Boat Dock or Boat Slip rental to Transient Boats
(2) The following are prohibited uses for the Marina at the Yacht Club:
a. Boat retail dealerships
b. Boat shows
c. Commercial recreational businesses, other than one permitted charter boat
d. Fish cleaning other than at designated fish cleaning stations
e. Anchorage mooring

f. Conducting a business from a vessel in the Marina not specifically approved as a
permitted use
g. Leasing slips or docks to members of the general public who are not members of a
Yacht Club, except for leasing slips or docks to Transient Boats
h. Any use not specifically permitted in this Section or the Development Agreement
shall be prohibited.
(q) Additional Regulations
(1) All Marinas shall provide fire protection consistent with the requirements of the
National Fire Protection Association.
(2) Liveaboard vessels are only permitted in the Yacht Club Basin.
(3) Outdoor storage or display of materials or goods is prohibited.
(4) Any subject not covered or addressed in this Section shall be regulated by the
applicable City Code.
Role of the Board and Committees:
All positions will have a club staff representative that accompanies the member and helps
implement the members decisions and requests.
The Board: Responsible for the health of the membership and increase our awareness in the
community.

Term:
- Two-year term after performing at least one year as Vice Commodore. Unless
otherwise approved for extension by Club Board & Owners.
- Vice Commodore automatically becomes the Commodore once the outgoing
Commodore’s term is up.
Responsibilities:
- The Commodore’s main responsibility is to be the President of the Board, control all
meetings and be the tie breaker in any vote.
- Tie breaker vote In Board Meetings.
- Bi-weekly meeting with GM or Owner to discuss club operations and updates.
- Monitor the committees and assign help where needed.
- Train the Committee Chairs in the rules on positive engagement with their committee
members.
- Recognize when a committee needs assistance or motivation or fresh ideas.
- Coordinate across committees when needed.
- Sit in on random committee meetings.
- Hold monthly Board meetings.
- Hold Monthly Committee Chair Meetings where the Chairs would report on their
committees.
- Take on one large special/pet project that would require club wide assistance and
years to achieve. This is intended to be something large enough to continue evolving
even after his/her reign. Something that benefits the club, charities and/or the
outgoing Commodore for years to come.
Benefits to Serve:
- No Membership Dues for length of term.
- Free Pasta Night or Prime Rib Night buffet on nights meetings are held.
- Parking Space closest to lobby entrance.
- 2 for the price of 1 ticket for all club events.

Vice Commodore
Club Staff Liaison: General Manager
Term:
- At least a one-year term after spending at least 1 year as a Governor.
- Automatically becomes the Commodore once the outgoing Commodores term is up.

- Assist the Commodore with all his/her responsibilities – See above.

Governors
Club Staff Liaison: General Manager and Membership Director
Term:
- At least a one-year term. Max four consecutive year Term.
- Must have served 1 year as a committee chair or vice chair.
- Upon Vice Commodores rise to Commodore, the board and committee chairs will
vote which Governor will become the next Vice Commodore and ultimately the
Commodore.
- Incoming Governors would volunteer for the position. If more volunteer than
positions needed, there will be a club wide member vote. Committee members votes
will count as 2 votes each, and Committee Chair Votes count as 5 votes each.
Responsibilities:
- Be influencers in the club and the community.
- Represent the Club in all outside events in the community.
- Help membership with generating more qualified members.
- Represent the Club and be an influencer in City Government. Understanding that
LHPYC represents a large part of our community.

TENNIS COURT RULES & ETIQUETTE
Tennis Pro Shop/Academy Hours: (Change)
Monday through Sunday: Dawn to 9PM (Closed 7-9am & 12-2:00pm for Maintenance)
JG Tennis Academy: Monday through Friday 10am-12pm, 2pm-5pm
Private training is offered Monday through Sunday from 8:00am 7:00pm.
Check in/Court Reservations:
All members and guests are required to check in to the Pro Shop before stepping out to the
courts. Please reserve your tennis courts through our tennis website lhpyctennis.com or at
the Pro Shop at least 24 hours before playing. A 24-hour cancellation policy is in effect for
every lesson and event. If cancellation occurs within 24-hours, the lesson or event will be
charged to the member’s account.
Member Guests:
Members are encouraged to bring a Guest to play on the courts at $10 Guest Fee. LHPYC
Guest Policy applies to all Member Guests. Member Guests may only come twice per
month, accompanying the member. This is strictly enforced. Guests are permitted to reserve
lessons with LHPYC Tennis Coaches. Members are responsible for their guest’s fees.
Etiquette and Attire:
Please wear appropriate attire on the courts including clay court tennis sneakers only. Shirts
must be worn. No cut-off shirts or only sport bra tops are permitted. No profanities, yelling
or screaming at any time while on court. Cell phones must be silenced. No food, drinks
(other than water/sports drinks) on courts, unless served by the Club for an occasion/event.
Always show respect to all players. Please keep the courts clean by picking up all balls and
throwing away any trash. If you need to cross a court that is occupied to access yours, please
only cross between points. No skateboards/scooters/bikes allowed. Concerning night
tennis, all lights must be turned off by 9pm per city ordinance.

Etiquette and Attire:
All free-weights and equipment are to be returned to their appropriate place after use. All
equipment should be wiped down and sanitized upon completion of your use of equipment.
Proper fitness attire and shoes must be worn at all times. Cell phone use is prohibited in the
Fitness Center.
Usage: Fitness Center utilization is limited to those who have been issued a key fob in
accordance with the LHPYC Fitness Center and Key Fob Agreement, which Agreement is
limited to LHPYC Members, Spouses, Guests of Members as set forth in the House Rules,
and Members’ Children with the following restrictions for Members’ Children: Children
under the age of twelve (12) are not permitted in the Fitness Center. Children of Members
that are age 13 to 16 are permitted to use the Fitness Center with direct supervision from
parent/member. Members’ children who have attained the age of 25 are not extended
access to the facilities of the Club, except as provided by the guest privileges extended
through the House Rules. Members' Children may not bring Guests to the Fitness Center.
Trainers: All trainers must be employees of the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club unless
stipulated by Director of Fitness.
Enforcement of Rules: All Club Members are expected to comply with the rules and to
cooperate with their enforcement. The Director of Fitness and Staff Members are charged
with the responsibility of enforcement of the rules and to report to the Fitness Committee
any infraction of the rules. It is imperative that Members do so in all areas

The use of the Fitness and Tennis Center is restricted to Members of Lighthouse Point
Yacht Club (“LHPYC”) and Guests, all of the foregoing as defined under, and allowed by
the Bylaws, the House Rules and the Rules of the Fitness Center.
This Form must be signed by, and a key fob issued to each Member, Family Member, and
Guest to enjoy the use of, observation of, and/or participation in the use of the LHPYC
Fitness and Tennis Center.
Therefore, in exchange for me being allowed the opportunity to enter and/or utilize the
LHPYC Fitness and Tennis Center facilities, the undersigned hereby agrees and
acknowledges as follows:
1. Fitness and Tennis Center Key Fob and Fitness Center Access. I agree that for the
non-refundable payment of $15.00 I am personally responsible as a licensee of the Fitness
and Tennis Center Key Fob, and I will not allow it to be shared with anyone. I further agree
that I will not allow anyone who has not been assigned a Fitness and Tennis Center Key Fob
to accompany me into the Fitness and Tennis Center, nor will I let anyone into the Fitness
and Tennis Center who does not have a Fitness Center Key Fob. I will return the Fitness
and Tennis Center Key Fob when I no longer plan to use it or upon termination of my
membership, family member privileges or guest privileges with LHPYC, or upon the
termination of my license to use the Fitness and Tennis Center Key Fob.
2. Loss or Theft of Key Fob. I agree that, in the event that my Key Fob is lost or stolen, I
will report the loss or theft to LHPYC immediately. I understand that there is a reasonable
replacement cost to a lost or stolen key fob ($15.00).
3. Entrances and Exits. I agree that I will enter and exit the Fitness Center only by the
entrance and exit operated by the Key Fob.
4. Consequences. I agree that in the event that I violate any term or condition of this
Agreement, LHPYC may, in its sole discretion, permanently revoke my permission to access
the Fitness and Tennis Center.
5. Identification of Risks. I understand that the activity of physical exercise involves
certain physical risks, both foreseeable and unforeseeable, including, without limitation, the
risk of injury, property damage, disability, death and other losses to participants and
bystanders, and I expressly accept and assume those risks. Not only am I aware of the risks

and dangers inherent with the activities in which I will be participating at the Fitness and
Tennis Center, I acknowledge that I am capable of participating in those activities
responsibly.
6. Assumption of Risk. I will see to it that I am physically able to use the Fitness and
Tennis Center facilities provided by LHPYC, and I assume all risks connected with using the
Fitness and Tennis Center facilities provided by LHPYC. I understand that before beginning
or changing any exercise program, it is recommended that I consult with my physician. I
understand and agree that any bodily injury, disability, death or loss or damage of property
and expenses as a result of me participating in any exercise activity or use of the Fitness and
Tennis Center facilities are my personal responsibility.
7. Waiver and Release Waiver, Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement
(NOTE that if you are signing on behalf of a minor, not only are you binding the minor, but
you are agreeing to indemnify and hold harmless LHPYC, if the minor or anyone on behalf
of the minor brings suit). As lawful consideration for being permitted to utilize the Fitness
and Tennis Center’s facilities, I hereby release and discharge from any claims, demands,
losses, damages and legal liability arising from or in any way related to my use of, enjoyment
of, observation of, and/or participation in Fitness and Tennis Center facilities, and I agree
not to sue, claim against the property of, or prosecute LHPYC, and all of its directors,
officers, members, partners, organizations, agents, employees, trainers, invitees, successors
and assigns (all of the foregoing, collectively, the “releasees”), whether or not such suits,
claims, demands, losses, damages and legal liability arise or are in any way related, in whole
or in part, to the active or passive negligence of LHPYC or any of the releasees (including,
without limitation, negligent rescue operations), and I hereby also release LHPYC and
releasees from any other cause. On behalf of my minor Child (if applicable), and on my
behalf, I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless LHPYC and the releasees, from and
against any and all property damage, injury or death, and attorneys’ fees and costs, caused by,
suffered by or in any way resulting from my minor Child’s use (if applicable) or my use of,
enjoyment of, observation of, and/or participation in the use of the LHPYC Fitness and
Tennis Center, whether or not such property damage, injury or death was caused in whole or
in part by the active or passive negligence of LHPYC or any of the releasees. This Waiver
and Release shall by legally binding upon me, my heirs, my beneficiaries, my estate, assigns,
legal guardians and my personal representatives. I also intend for this Waiver and Release to
apply to any state or federal claim, whether arising under statutory or common law.

8. Consent to Medical Treatment. I agree that LHPYC (including its directors, officers,
members, partners, organizations, agents, employees, trainers, invitees, successors and
assigns) may, but has no duty or obligation to provide me, through medical personnel of
their choice, customary medical or training assistance, transportation, and emergency
medical services. I understand and agree that I am responsible for all medical expenses that
may result in the event that LHPYC or any of the releasees provide or arrange for my minor
Child (if applicable) or me medical assistance related to use of, enjoyment of, observation of,
and/or participation in the use the Fitness and Tennis Center.
9. Exclusive Jurisdiction and Venue; Agreement of Convenient Forum and Attorney
Fees. I agree that for any lawsuit or action of any type brought regarding this Agreement,
exclusive jurisdiction and venue will be in Broward County, Florida, or the Southern District
of Florida, and that for all such actions; Broward County or the Southern District of Florida
is a convenient forum. I also agree that the prevailing party will be paid its attorneys’ fees
and costs through all levels of appeal.
10. Acknowledgment of Understanding Agreement. I have carefully read this
Agreement. I am aware that I am releasing substantial legal rights that I otherwise may
have, and I enter into this Agreement of my own free will, and with full comprehension and
awareness of the risks involved. By signing this Agreement, I expressly agree that the
foregoing Waiver and Release, Indemnification and Hold Harmless, Consent to Medical
Treatment, and Acknowledgement are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted
by law, and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall,
notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

Q: Do you offer a special dietary menu?
A: Most certainly! We can customize any menu to suit your taste and theme, and we also offer fabulous
recipes for all our vegan, vegetarian and gluten free guests.
Q: When do the wine lists generally get changed?
A: We normally change the wine lists twice a year.
Q: How old do my children need to be to sit at the bar?
A: You must be 18 years of age to sit at the bar and 21 years to consume alcoholic beverages.
Q: Am I allowed to bring a guest/non-member to the gym?
A: Yes, all member guests are subject to a $10 Guest Fee (similar to tennis courts) and the guest must sign a
waiver. Guest fees will be applied to the members account.
Q: Does LHPYC sell a gym membership only?
A: No, the gym is included in your membership amenities, just like the pool or tennis courts.
Q: How do I participate in LHPYC Fitness Classes?
A: Please see Jeremy Martens, Fitness Director, to purchase a Class Pass Card and obtain a monthly class
schedule. Each card entitles you to 10 classes of your choice. The cost of the card is $100 and will be charged
to your member account.
Q: Does the club offer Personal Training?
A: Yes, please see Jeremy Martens our Fitness Director for a consultation as well as rates for sessions.
Q: What are the hours of operation for the gym?
A: You will need a Key Fob to enter the gym and locker rooms at all times.

Q: Can I wear jeans to the club?
A: Jeans are permitted as long as there are no tears or holes in them.

A: We take pride in working with the most reputable professionals in the event industry and will help you
secure the best talent for your special party.
Q: How soon should I book my event?
A: As soon as possible! Our private rooms have been known to get booked up a year in advance, so the
sooner the better.
Q: Can children eat upstairs on Wednesdays?
A: On Wednesdays, there is no Little Skippers fee and for this reason children who are interested in
participating in the child activities for Wednesday are required to eat before going upstairs. However,
Thursday-Saturdays the Little Skippers fee does include a meal upstairs.
Q: How can I be on the LHPYC Board?
A: If a member desires to have a position on the Board, said person is required to be a Committee Chair or Vice
Chair, or Historian for a of minimum one year. After a one-year term has been served, the interested person or
nominee can be voted into an open Governor position by vote from Board and Committee Chairs. Once said person
is elected, they shall be required to serve as a Governor for a minimum of two years to be eligible for nomination to
Vice Commodore. To be considered to remain in a Governor’s position after a four-year term the individual must
run for re-election. Once the two-year term as Vice Commodore has been served said person shall be Commodore
for a maximum of two years, unless otherwise approved by the Board & Club Ownership.
