FROM THE COURSE DIRECTOR’S PEN
According to Kothari commission, a teacher who unlike an
ordinary worker, acts as a master, crafts man, an artist, a
strategist and a powerful motivator. The environs of a
classroom are enlivened by the inspiring, dynamic, enthusiastic,
encouraging, skillful and dedicated teacher. It is he who shapes
the destiny of students and that of the future citizens who
eventually shape the destiny of the country.Such a teacher only
can successfully inculcate values that strengthen the ideals of
social justice, equity, secularism and pluralism among
children.By its very definition, a professional, including a
teacher is a lifelong learner because of his association with
scientific knowledge which keeps growing and so opportunities have to be afforded to ensure that he keeps
learning and developing throughout his professional life. This is precisely the responsibility of teacher
education system which is more than a mere combination of two of its
major components i.e. pre-service teacher preparation e.g. B. Ed., D. L. Ed. etc. and in-service education.
A teaching degree allows a person to enter into service as a teacher. Thereafter there is need of adapting
new technologies for making him a better teacher. Especially it is proved well in present Covid-19
scenario when almost all the KVS teachers were trained to teach efficiently within a short period.
During both the spells [I-spell from 10-08-2020 to 21-08-2020 & II-spell from 21-11-2020 to 30-11-2020]

education, assessment using google forms etc. along with other areas decided by KVS for the In-service
course of PRTs.
I extend my genuine gratitude to the most esteemed Shri Tajuddin Shaik Deputy Commissioner KVS RO
Jabalpur for providing us this wonderful opportunity to conduct In-service Course for PRTs. I am

MESSAGE
There is no longer a single pathway of learning now. And Covid- 19 period has taught us to explore more and more
innovative tools & techniques of teaching and learning both. This first ever virtual In – Service Course for Primary
Teachers very emphatically conveys the message that human brain can take – up any challenge. And in the field of
education, especially at Primary level where the children are of 5 to 12 years of age group, this task becomes extremely
tough and it expects a marathon effort and I feel very delighted to observe that our teachers whether young or senior,
have set an exemplary yardstick for the future course of actions. The novelty in pedagogic strategies will surely make a
place of actual learning amongst the keen learners, be it students, teachers or teacher educators. The e – magazine
also is an expression revealing that we would certainly reach out to the society in general and to the little – ones in
particular.I extend my heartfelt gratitude towards the entire team of In – Service Course for what they have
contributed in giving a shape to this E – Magazine. I am highly grateful to the Shri Tajuddin
Shaik, DC, KVS RO Jabalpur, Smt. Shahida Parveen, AC,KVS RO Jabalpur, Shri Chandan Kohli, Course Director &
Principal, K.V.No.1 Rewa and to the bigger umbrella Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for giving us such an opportunity to
learn differently in present challenging times. Again my sincere thanks to one & all.
Yours Sincerely
Sandeep Kumar Pande
HM, KV 1 STC, Jabalpur.
“Teaching will not replace great teachers but technology in the hands of great teachers can be transformational”-George
Couros The main objective of any in-service training course is essentially to enhance performance level of teachers, it
related to the transformation of our young children for the upcoming challenges of life. Therefore it is rightly said by
Morihei Ueshiba-“The purpose of training is to tighten up the slack toughen the body and polish the spirit”
This year in the COVID-19 pandemic scenario it was appearing very difficult to impart training to teachers initially
because our minds were tuned to the face toface mode of teaching learning process and none of us was prepared for
new
normal. But technology has yet again proved to be a boon. The class-room teaching through google-meet became easier
and interesting too. This virtual platform proved to be wider and effective tool for teaching and learning. This was my
first
experience of giving training through an on-line mode. It has proved to be very exciting and I my self along with other
participants learnt a lot each day.It was an unique experience to be connected ,enhancing and updating our selves
and moving towards the path of progress ,certainly COVID-19 never posed a barrier in achieving the objectives set by the
KVS our prestigious organization .
MAY GOD BLESS US ALL.
Yours Sincerely

COURSE DIRECTOR
Inservice course
It is a professional and personal educational activity for
teachers to improve their efficiency, ability, knowledge and
motivation in their professional work. In-service training
offers one of the most promising roads to the
improvement of instruction.
Need For In-Service Teacher Training
Having understood what in-service teacher training is, it is
important to learn about its need for enhancing teaching
quality. The following benefits offered by such training for
teachers programs clarify their significance in this respect.
Help The Teachers Develop The Habit Of Life Long Learning
according to Sir Rabindranath Tagore, an educator can
never become a good teacher unless he/she is constantly
learning. The in-service teacher training programs thus
help the educators to become really good teachers by
imbibing the habit of constant learning in them. These
programs help the teachers to refresh their knowledge and
broaden their outlook to ensure a better delivery of
learning outcomes.

dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-
learning, whereby teaching is undertaken
remotely and on digital platforms.
Research suggests that online learning has
been shown to increase retention of information,
and take less time, meaning the changes
coronavirus have caused might be here to stay.

Impression from Participant
Mrs. Pooja Anand
K.V C.O.D Jabalpur
To be honest , thought it was known to me that I have to attend In-service
course virtually made me tensed .
Anyway I joined the course virtually and completed my first spell of In-service
course .
But before we will part ways . Again honestly speaking , It was a great learning
experience to attend 12 days virtually In-service course at K.V Rewa no. 1 .
This course was not just a formality . It was in new velour . From the beginning
till the last day of the Course everything went smoothly just because of the
Dynamic Course Director Mr. Chandan Kohli Sir , who was vigilant not only
about academic part but about other facilities of participants too .
And my Resource person !
Mr. Sandeep Pandey (Sir) H.M
Mrs. Surekha David (Ma’am)
Mr. Upendra Mani Shukla (Sir)
Really , a living symbol of energy , skill , ideas , knowledge , co-operation and
perfect execution . At no point of time they made me feel their superiority .
They were always friendly and helpful .
A living example of all the traits and skills that a teacher should have his ability
to create a congenial environment left a lasting impression on me .
All guest lectures were very informative and interesting . Special care was
taken to cover different aspects in guest lectures .
I was really impressed with the computer session which was taken by Mrs.
Ravita Pathak . Her way of taking the session with a sweet smile will surely help
the participants to use ICT effectively in this pandemic period and further also .
What is the core idea that I could learn from the course ? It is the Attitude that
can do wonders . One should have positive attitude and must take things
sportingly .
