Moonlight & Magnolias
Three guys, one typewriter, and five days to make Hollywood history! 1939 Hollywood is abuzz. Legendary
producer David O. Selznick has shut down production of his new epic, Gone with the Wind, a film adaptation of
Margaret Mitchell’s novel. The screenplay, you see, just doesn’t work. So what’s an all-powerful movie mogul
to do? While fending off the film’s stars, gossip columnists and his own father-in-law, Selznick sends a car for
famed screenwriter, Ben Hecht. He also pulls formidable director, Victor Fleming, from the set of The Wizard of
Oz. Summoning both to his office, he locks the doors, closes the shades and , on a diet of bananas and peanuts,
the three men labor over five days to fashion a screenplay that will become the blueprint for one of the most
successful and beloved films of all time. L

BINGO The Winning Musical
With “BINGO or BUST” as their unspoken motto, Vern, Honey and Patsy stop at nothing to make their weekly
BINGO game. Braving a terrible storm, this trio of best friends ignores the caution of the local weather center
and paddles their way to the BINGO hall; nothing will come between them and that $200 pot! As the storm
knocks out power at the BINGO hall, the three ladies reminisce about the ominous night 15 years ago that began
in the same way but ended in a dispute that drove Bernice (Vern’s former best friend) out of the group…never
to daub another BINGO card again. Back in the present we find Alison, Bernice’s sweet yet headstrong daughter,
sneaking into the BINGO hall in disguise; determined to reunite her ailing mother with her long-lost friends by
using their greatest weakness…BINGO! We become part of the action as we join in and play BINGO right along
with the cast! L

The Psychic: A Murder Mystery…of Sorts
From his run-down New York basement apartment, struggling mystery writer Adam Webster attempts to earn
some quick cash to cover his rent by trying to pass himself off as a psychic. To drum up business, he places a
sign in his apartment window: “Psychic Readings-$25.” The sign soon draws the interest of his first customer,
the lovely and conflicted Laura Benson. When Adam issues Laura a surprisingly genuine prediction, a string of
inquisitive characters soon darken his door, including Laura’s larcenous husband, Roy; Roy’s ditzy mistress, Rita;
Rita’s mobster lover, Johnny Bubbles; and, savvy homicide detective Norris Coslow…all of whom factor into the
evolving murder mystery that becomes Adam’s life. L

Cookin’ with Gus
Gussie Richardson, a famous food columnist and cookbook author, has been offered her own daily network
television show. Thrilled at this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Gussie is ready for the fame that comes with
hearing, “Lights! Camera! Action!” except for one thing…she has terrible stage fright! Walter, Gussie’s husband,
attempts to assist her with her phobias by practicing his amateur skills as a hypnotist. Meanwhile, their neighbor,
Carmen, an “authentic” gypsy princess who enjoys a frequent nip from the bottle, gets in on the action casting
her spells. One cup of hypnosis, a tablespoon of spells and a pint of bourbon equals a recipe for disaster,
amusement and an all-out food fight that will leave the television viewer (and theatre audience) doubling over
with laughter! L tUEsDAY • october 11, 2016 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .tour 13035

wife, Mary, in Wimbledon and the other part of the day with his other loving wife, Barbara, in a different flat only

An Unexpected Gift
Christmas and family…words which evoke powerful emotions in most people. For the Buerkle family, those two
words result in joy, sorrow, anger and love; a mixture only slightly less explosive than TNT. When good ole
Wisconsin winter weather causes them to lose power, yuletide festivities seem to go down the drain as they lose
the usual comforts of home. Resorting to warmth from the fireplace, illumination through candles and answering
the call of Mother Nature via the old outhouse out back, the gap between generations is narrowed and life, for
just a short time, becomes a little simpler and the Buerkles are reminded of the wonderful gift they have had all
along…family. L
