Under
The
Sea

SOFIA CHENG

This is The Great
Barrier Reef.

It is the largest coral reef
system in the world

In the Great Barrier Reef, we
can find thousands of living

plants and animals

Some non-living things that
are also important for the
reef to survive are water,

sand and rocks.

Seagrass and seaweed are
producers in the Great

Barrier Reef. They produce
energy so consumers can eat.

The consumers of the Great
Barrier Reef are animals like
sea turtles, fish, sea snakes

and dolphins.

However, humans over the
years have been

contaminating the oceans,
causing reefs like The Great

Barrier Reef to die down.

This contamination also kills
the living creatures of the

Great Barrier Reef, or forces
them to migrate to other
places.

Because of this, we have to
be environmental stewards
and help cleen oceans and
bodies of water around us.
