Introduction

Dear Friends,
We are very pleased to invite you to come to our country and take part in our
Gōjū-Ryū Karatedō Training Weekend Seminar (May 8th - 10 th 2020) in Tongerlo
– Belgium, and to practice in a togetherness spirit for a better preparation to

Seiwakai World Seminar in Omagari – Japan on the
end of July.
We hope to see as many as possible of all students
during this weekend with master Seiichi Fujiwara
(8th Dan Hanshi) to improve your level.

About the location

All training facilities and accommodation with breakfast, lunch and dinner are centralized in one
place in the middle of the “Kempen”.
The name of this nice and multifunctional sport complex is Sporta Centrum Tongerlo, which you

Training and Schedule

All trainings will take place in the sport accommodation of Sporta.
Here we have several sports halls at our disposal.

• Friday 18.00 – 21.00
• Saturday 9.30 – 12.00 / 14.30 – 17.00
• Sunday 9.30 – 12.00 / 14.30 – 17.00

Training Fees for the seminar

• Price for 1 day :
o Friday : 25€ (<= 12y : 15€)
o Saturday : 40€ (<= 12y : 25€)
o Sunday : 40€ (<= 12y : 25€)

• Price for the whole weekend (3 days) : € 85,00 (<=
12y : 45€) (with certification)

Dan Grading

During the seminar weekend you will be able to do testing for
• Seiwa-kai Dan Grading
o Saturday
o 17.15 – 19.00
• JKF Goju-Kai Dan Grading
o Sunday
o 17.15 – 19.00

Please show some respect to your sensei and the organization by filling in the testing form
accurate and with the correct required data. This is also a form of the budo-spirit.
This makes it a lot easier for every one during the registration and will cause less stress just

Seiwa-kai Dan Grading

For Seiwakai membership (new card) (see on page 14)

• 2 x passport photographs. Please write your name and date of birth
on the back of the photographs

• 2,000 yen (Seiwakai vitalising fee)

Grading for Gōjū-Ryū Karatedo Seiwakai Members

• Application Form for Seiwakai testing
• 1 passport photograph on the application form.
• Copy of the last Seiwakai Grade’s certificate and it’s number (if it’s the case).

For prices of the test : please contact your Country leader.
# Certificates can be requested in Japanese or English. If certificates are required in both
English and Japanes (2 certificates), PLEASE ADD additional 2000 Yen to the Total fee.
If the candidate fails the test, ONLY the certification fee should be returned to the country
representative (NO testing fee will be returned).
Please have the certificate fee ready with you. If you fail the test, this will be returned to you.
Kumite: All testing up to 5th Dan requires 3 rounds of Goju-
Ryu Jiyu Kumite.
The examinees are expected to show a good level of both
blocking and countering as well as attacking techniques. If
blocking is not adequate the examinee is going to be
unsuccessful.

JKF Goju-Kai Dan Grading

For JKF Goju-Kai membership (see on page 14)

• Application Form for JFK Gojukai membership registration
• 2 x passport photographs. Name and date of birth on the back.
• 5,000 yen (JKF Gojukai fee)

• Application Form for testing – Should be signed by the Head of Kai
or Kan in Japan

• 1 passport photograph on the application form.
• Copy of the last JKF Goju-Kai Grade’s certificate and it’s number (if it’s the case).

The Sayonara Party

Please be welcome at this party, where we can have a pleasant evening together, which will
take place in
“Het Parochiecentrum Tongelhof”

It takes about 10-15 minutes on foot (1,3 km) to get there.
The price for the dinner, in buffet style, 5 normal drinks included is xx€. Those who are very
thirsty, are can buy extra drinks at the bar for very democratic prices.
The registration is possible through the overall seminar registration form on page 12.

Accommodation

There are few possibilities in terms of stay in the nearby neighborhood.
But you can sleep, eat, drink and relax in the Sporta Centrum.
Besides the sleeping rooms, a cafeteria/restaurant (for breakfast, lunch and dinner) and also a
meeting room (where you can sit and buy some drinks) are at your disposal.
In a combined excel sheet, you can make your choice about your participation at the seminar
and your stay.

We also have an agreement with the 4* Hotel Geerts in the Centre of Westerlo (3km away from
the Sporta Centrum).
Together with our main organization committee, Fujiwara Shihan and Vassie Shihan will stay
there.

Please contact us if you are interested to stay over there.
We were able to negotiate for special prices.
Note that this is a more expensive hotel, with limited number of rooms, so first come first serve.

The use is very simple.
Please read how to fill in the form:

• On the tab “Voorblad – FrontPage” : choose your language (Nederlands – English)
o Fill in:
 The name of your country
 Details of the contact person (Name, GSM, E-mail)

• Now go to the different tab pages.
When the date of birth is entered correctly, prices are automatically calculated according
the age (adult or child [ <= 12 years] )

2. The seminar with accommodation where there are 3 types of rooms available :
o 3 person room
o 4 person room
o 5 person room
 Go to the tabs “Rooms 3p”, “Rooms 4p” and/or “Rooms 5p”.
 Fill in the same data as described above
 Select the date of Arrival and Departure. DON’T FORGET.
Because:
When you enter a name but:
 Forget to select both dates there is assumed that you are staying the whole
weekend (3days / 4 nights) and the full price is charged.
 Only enters the arrival date, the period and according price is calculated as
you should stay until Monday morning
 Only enters the departure date, the period and according price is calculated
as you arrive on Friday.
The price is per room. So it is up to you how you fill them up. If you want some privacy,
the price per person is higher. If you want to keep your stay cheap, go for the maximum
occupation.
The price for blankets and towels will be added as you enter a name and is per person.

Next to each line you can find the total cost for the participant and the total price per room.
Once filled in all data of the participant, the front page shows a summary of all totals and costs.
