CB7 Class of 2021/22
Kian's learning
journey
Kian loves being outdoors and
engages in a variety of active play
opportunities. Most of all, Kian
loves water play, climbing and
swinging in the hammock.
Kian has been looking at the books in
class and his favourites are the
Peppa Pig books. Kian is also showing
lots of interest in our story themed
tuff trays.
Kian is
developing
his numeracy
skills by
investigating
the wooden
insert and
numeracy
puzzles. Kian
also explores
different
sized objects
during his
sand play
outdoors.
Kian is showing
great curiosity
and imaginative
play with our
large loose
parts outdoors.
Kian loves
exploring cause
and effect
opportunities
and enjoys
rolling the tyres
on the ground
and then
watching the
ball roll down
the ramp.
Kian is
showing so
much interest
and focus on a
variety of
activities on
offer in class
and is
responding
well to verbal
support of
simple
instructions
from an adult.
Kian loves physical interactions with the class adults
and will initiate these throughout the day by using his
body language and gestures.
Kian loves being outdoors and
enjoys discovering the changes
that happen to our environment
during the winter weather.
Kian is developing his
literacy and language
skills by having fun
investigating and
joining in with rhymes,
songs, musical
instruments and role
play activities.
Kian is eating really well at school
and is happy to taste new foods. Kian
has engaged well during our baking
sessions.
Kian had the most fun
at our local play park.
We had a lovely walk
there and back in the
sunshine and Kian
enjoyed the swings
and climbing on the
equipment.
Spring has sprung.
We have introduced a toothbrush to
Kian's personal care routine in the
afternoon and Kian is happy to have
his teeth brushed while he watches
carefully in the mirror. Kian is also
happily washing and drying his hands
with help from an adult.
Kian has
been
enjoying
dressing
up this
term and
engaging
with role
and
water
play toys.
Kian is showing a greater interest in
our class routine visuals and social
stories for transitions to other parts
of the school.
Park life.
CB7 ventured
down to the
woods and Kian
was delighted
when we found a
tree swing. After
having a turn,
Kian enjoyed
touching and
exploring the
sticks and tree
bark.
Kian is
showing
great
focus and
attention
on our
class
numeracy
and
literacy
play
activities.
We're playing in the rain.
Kian is developing his communications skills through
interactions with adults and his class friends throughout the
day. Kian listens intently when an adult is speaking to him and
is taking his turn using lots of vocalisations.
Kian is joining in with a
variety of play experiences
with his class friends in
class, during our gym
sessions and outdoors.
Kian has been practising
swinging on the ropes during our
gym sessions and can now swing
on a single rope with only a little
support from a class adult.
Kian has been
requesting
help from an
adult to ride
the trike and
the scooter
by taking
them by the
hand. Kian is
now happy to
wear a
helmet and
can pedal the
trike by
himself.
Kian is showing more
focus and attention
to the numeracy
based play activities
on offer in class.
Kian is always
showing off his
amazing climbing and
balancing skills
wherever we go.
Party!
