Puisi Melayu Tradisional ialah puisi lama yang lahir dalam
kalangan masyarakat Melayu sejak zaman dahulu lagi.

Puisi Melayu Tradisional Puisi ini muncul pada
merupakan warisan zaman manusia
bahasa dan bangsa belum mengenal
Melayu yang sangat bentuk tulisan lagi
unik. dan disampaikan
secara lisan.
Puisi ini disusun
menggunakan bahasa Puisi bukan sahaja sebati dalam
yang cukup indah dan jiwa masyarakat sebagai satu
hasil seni, malah merupakan
menggambarkan satu bentuk wadah
pancaran masyarakat pemeliharaan adat, pembina
Melayu lama (Mohd sahsiah diri, pengajar agama
