RC DOLORES THEME SONG
Lyrics and texts by RTN Tex Lapuz
We’re the young men from Dolores.
We’re Rotarians straight and true.
Dedicated to the service;
Among ourselves and others too.
While we pledge our helping hands;
For a cause and noble stand.
Let Dolores roll its wheel;
With objectives to fulfill.
We are ready to help the needy.
For love of GOD and humanity.
Serve the country;
Serve the community;
And work in love and unity.
While we strive to do our best;
To fulfill the 4-way test,
That in spirit will be blessed;
ROTARY CLUB OF DOLORES!
THE MAN WHO LOST MONDAY
He played at his work on Rotary Day,
And thought, in the end, that it would pay.
He sharpened his pencil, and answered the phone.
He scolded a clerk, and felt quite alone,
Because, in his secret thoughts, he knew
Nothing was gained in that hour or two,
THE DAY THAT HE LOST MONDAY
He ate his lunch, but ate alone;
He lost a thought that would have grown.
To high resolves and nobles deeds,
That would help to meet the wide world’s needs,
And a visitors whom, to life’s long end,
He would have been glad to call a friend,
ON THE DAY THAT HE LOST MONDAY
When you are absent on a ROTARY DAY,
There are two loses, forever and aye:
You lost the time with friendly men,
You can never retrieve again;
And they lose you and your friendly smile.
No think and see if that’s worthwhile,
BEFORE YOU LOSE A MONDAY
ROTARY’S OBJECTIVE
The OBJECT OF ROTARY is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis
of worthy enterprise and to particular, to encourage and foster:
FIRST: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service
SECOND: High Ethical standards in business & professions, the recognition of
worthiness of all useful occupation and dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupa-
tion as an opportunity to serve society.
THIRD: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal busi-
ness and community life.
FOURTH: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and
peace through a world fellowship & professional person in the ideal of service.
DECLARATION OF ROTARIAN IN BUSINESS & PROFESSION
As a Rotarian engaged in a business or profession, I am expected to:
1.) Consider my vocation to be another opportunity to serve;
2.) e faithful to the letter & to the spirit of the ethical codes of my vocation, to
the law of my country, & to the moral standards of my community.
3.) Do all my power to dignify my vocation & to promote the highest ethical
standards of my chosen vocation;
4.) Be fair to my employer, employees, associates, competitors, customers, the
public & all those with whom I have business or professional relationship;
5.) Recognize the honor & respect due all occupation which are useful to soci-
ety;
6.) Offer vocational talents; to provide the opportunities for young people to
work for the relief of the special needs of others, and to improve the quality
community;
7.) Adhere to honesty in my advertising & in all representations to the public of
life in my community;
8.) Neither seeks from nor grants to a fellow Rotarian a privilege or advantage &
normally accorded others in a business or professional relations.
THE 4-WAY TEST
OF THE THINGS WE THINK, WE SAY OR DO:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

bat, PP Laurenz Tiomico, and PP Senen Quiambao for playing

GUEST SPEAKER
PDG/VG ANTONIO “TONY” C. BAUTISTA
PDG Tony is one person, one cannot immediately judge, by just looking at him. Because he is a low profile, simple
gentleman, very helpful and friendly one, with a lot of influence, not only in business, but also in character.
DG Tony has been with Rotary since 1988, when he joined the Rotary Club of Subic Bay, where he was elected
president, after only six (6) months with the club. After serving RCSB for sometime, he transferred to the Rotary
Club of Metro Olongapo, where he dedicated all his time, talent, and resources, in the name of Rotary Service and
Fellowship.
In RY 2003-2004, he became an Assistant Governor of area 4-C, (covering the areas of Olongapo City, Subic and
Zambales), under the leadership of PDG Vitt Gutierrez, (Lend A Hand), because of the dedication that he has shown
as a Rotarian.
Because of the support that he has given to PDG Vitt, he was again given the task, to be an Assistant Governor,
under the leadership of PDG Jess Nicdao in RY2008-2009, (Make Dreams Real).
On the same year, he also chaired the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, (RYLA), and in RY2010-2011, he was elected
Secretary of the Council of Past District Governors, and served for a full year.
For all his achievements and great performance, on the positions that he held, he was awarded, “Most Outstanding
Rotarian”, not only by his club, but also of the district.
Aside from hosting various club and district positions, PDG Tony also showed the Rotarian spirit in him , by being
a consistent relief donor, not only in his cluster, but also to the entire district, when the need arises. He would also
willingly host the inbound Group Study Exchange, (GSE), team members whenever they come to stay in District
3790.
For all his achievements of being a true and dedicated Rotarian, he was nominated and elected for the highest
position in the district, as the District Governor for RY2012-2013, (Peace Through Service). And no doubt, during
his term, he finished and performed his duties as Governor, with flying colors, breaking all previous records of the
district.
In his desire to further support the objectives and goals of the Rotary Foundation, PDG Tony became a Paul Harris
Fellow, (PHF), a year after joining Rotary. And because he wants to give more assistance to the 6 Areas of Focus of
Rotary International, he continued to contribute regularly to the Foundation, until such time, that he became a
Major Donor, 2nd level, during his term as District Governor. And still continues to contribute until the present.
PDG Tony’s activities are not only limited to his club and district affairs, he has attended various Rotary Internation-
al conventions in Japan, Chicago, Birmingham, Montreal, (Canada), New Orleans, Korea, and the latest in Atlanta,
Georgia. He has also attended Zone Institutes, in Taiwan, Manila (Philippine Plaza), Dusit Hotel,(Makati), Bangkok,
(Thailand) and Bali, Indonesia.
After completion his BSBA degree in San Beda College, Manila in 1966, PDG Tony started his career as an in-house
salesman at Delta Motors Corporation, (Makati), in 1967 and worked for one year and in 1968, transferred to Mer-
chants Banking Corp. in Manila. Not satisfied with banking activities, in 1969, he worked with IBM Philippines, Inc.,
in Makati, where he started as an Administrative clerk, until he became the Distribution and Warehousing Manager.
After 18 years with IBM, he resigned in 1988.
After which, he entered into the transporatation business operating buses, that ply the EDSA route and a shuttle
service in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, until 2013. After his term, he retired and separated from the transport
corporation and continued his passion and hobby for cars and is now doing car restoration. And still very much
involved in 3790 district affairs.
