INFORMATION PACKET

INTRODUCTION

Dear Table Host,

Thank you for answering the noble call to
partner with us in such a critical role. We are
grateful for your willingness to extend
Biblical hospitality in inviting more people to
hear about and partner in this fight for life.
We pray that this experience will be a
blessing to you and that the Lord will use
your willingness to serve Him in ways far
beyond what you have imagined.

The purpose of our annual benefit dinner is to share about our ministry
and invite guests to partner with us. It should be our largest fundraiser.
Therefore, it is imperative that those who attend realize that this is a
fundraising dinner and an opportunity for financial giving and pledges
will be extended at the end of the night. It is our hope that every seat
that night will be filled with individuals who may be open to this life-
affirming work and who will be moved to financially partner with us to
save lives in Tehama County.

Enclosed are instructions and tips to help you be a successful table
host.

Bonnie Christensen, M.A.
Bonnie is enthusiastic about helping others discover
their passion to love deeply and elevate Christ in all
things. She completed her undergraduate work in
Biblical Studies, Christian Education and Crisis Youth
Counseling from Briercrest Bible College in Canada and
received a M.A. in Marriage and Family Ministries at
Talbot School of Theology of Biola University. Bonnie is
a WCI Certified Life Coach, Certified Youth, Parent, and
Family Coach. She is a member of the American
Association of Christian Counselors, the International
Coach Federation, and the International Christian
Coaching Association as a Youth, Parent and Special
Needs Family Coach. Her passion is to understand our
quickly changing cultural times, to speak Truth into
them, and to equip the Church to follow Christ into the
hurting places of our communities.

Married for 27 years, Bonnie and her husband have 3
sons. She has been shepherding and teaching women’s
Bible studies at Bayside Church in Granite Bay for 6
years, as well as speaking at conferences, special needs
support groups and parenting groups.

TABLE HOST CHECKLIST

GOLDEN TABLE SPONSORS: Sponsors buy a table (or tables) and invite
guests to attend at no charge. ($240 per table)

TABLE HOSTS: Hosts agree to fill a table by selling tickets to those who
may be interested the work of LifeNet. ($30 per ticket)

CHECKLIST
 PRAY ABOUT WHICH GUESTS TO INVITE

Our goal is to fill each seat with individuals whose hearts might be
open to our life-affirming ministry and moved to partner financially
with LifeNet. Remember, adults only.
 INVITE
Personal invitation is powerful. Please invite guests in person or by
phone call and then give them an invitation.

3 ways your guests can RSVP
1. Call you.
2. Call our office at 530.727.9888
3. You can register them on the event page.
 FOLLOW UP
• A good rule of thumb is to follow up with your invited guest
ONE week after you hand out an invite.
• Note that MONDAY, OCTOBER 22 is guest registration
deadline. Do NOT wait until the 22nd to confirm that your
invited guests are coming. By the 22nd all your guests should
be registered online.
 REMIND
Schedules are busy! Give plenty of reminders to your guests. Also,
if your guest has kids, give them a friendly reminder to have a
babysitter lined up.

If a guest cancels at the last minute, try to fill the seats and alert
us ASAP. Dinners are prepaid a week in advance, which means we
will pay for expensive meals not eaten.

TIMELINE & GENERAL INFORMATION

Be excited about the banquet and LifeNet when making your personal
invitation.

It is critical that we fill the tables. We DO NOT want tables that are
empty; empty seats will not help support LifeNet financially.

If your potential guest is unable to attend, ask if we might send them
information about LifeNet. Remember to send their name, address,
phone and email to [email protected].

OCTOBER 8-13
o Hand out invitations to the 4 couples (or 6-7 individuals) that
you want to invite. Or you may call individuals to invite them to
the banquet.
o Let them know you will be contacting them the following week
to confirm attendance.
o TIP FOR SUCCESS: Identify one or two couples in reserve as
possible invites in case someone cancels or can’t make it (don’t
give them an invitation yet).

OCTOBER 13-19
o Contact your invited guests to confirm they will attend.
o If they are coming, register them at https://lifenet-
banquet.eventbrite.com.
o If guests cannot make it, extend an invitation to another
couple/individuals.
o Any guests that call in a RSVP to our office will be entered
immediately.
o If your table is not full, please check in with LifeNet staff (the
RSVP deadline is quickly approaching) so we may adjust our
meal count or adjust seating.

OCTOBER 22
o This is the week of the RSVP deadline. Please make sure that all
your guests are registered by Monday, October 22.

OCTOBER 28-30
o Give your guests one final reminder. Also, remind any guests
with kids that they need to have a babysitter lined up.
o If you get any last-minute cancellations, please try to fill your
remaining seats.

NOVEMBER 3
o You are the host at your table.
o Greet your guests warmly as they arrive at the banquet.
o Answer any questions they might have about LifeNet and the
services it provides.
o At the end of the event, hand out the financial packets to each
guest/couple and gather to return to the Executive Director.

ONLINE REGISTRATION & COMMUNICATION

HOW TO REGISTER AS A TABLE SPONSOR ($240):
Purchase your “Golden Table” tickets online at https://lifenet-
banquet.eventbrite.com. If you prefer to pay with check, use the
promo code “Pay-by-Check” then select “Table Sponsor” tickets.

HOW TO REGISTER AS A TABLE HOST:
Reserve your table by first entering promo code “Host” online at
https://lifenet-banquet.eventbrite.com then enter “8” in ticket
quantity of “Table Host” tickets (1 table is 8 seats). You will be charged
$3.75 per ticket which will total $30, the cost of 1 ticket.

HOW TO BUY INDIVIDUAL TICKETS:
Individuals may purchase tickets on the ticket site at $32 each.

1. Select the desired ticket type or enter the promo code and press
“Apply code” button. If using a code, either a new ticket will appear
or a discount will be displayed; select the appropriate type of ticket
under “TICKET TYPE” and place 8 in the quantity box. If you wish to
buy/reserve more than 8 seats, please complete a new order.

2. Click the green “Get Seats” button.

3. Click the “Got It” button.

4. The program will automatically take you to the best available
table(s) or seat(s).

5. Click the green “CHECKOUT” button.

6. Enter your information as well as any guest information you may
have. If you do not know your guest names yet, enter your own
information. You can update the names by returning to the site
later.

NOTE: It is important to have the information on each guest as it will
be used for seating assignments, name tags, and event reminders.

EVENT NIGHT INSTRUCTIONS

EVENT INFORMATION
• Saturday, November 3
• Doors open at 5:15 pm
• Dinner and program begin at 6:00 pm
• High Point Assembly of God Church, 625 Luther Road, Red
Bluff
• Adults only

Table Hosts should arrive at the church no later than 5:00 pm to
check-in and collect your host materials.

AS GUESTS ARRIVE
1. Introduce your guests to one another and make them feel
comfortable.
2. Distribute name tags to your guests.
3. Please do not pass out any pledge cards until instructed
towards the end of the night.

DURING THE RESPONSE PORTION (after main speaker)
1. When instructed, please give a response card to each
guest or couple at your table. Pens will be available.
2. Collect the sealed envelopes, when instructed. You will be
given instructions regarding what to do with the collected
envelopes.
3. Please encourage guests to stay seated during this portion
of the evening. The event will conclude shortly, and we
appreciate the minimization of distraction for all guests
during this time.

LIFENET FACTS TO SHARE

LifeNet is a Christ-centered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has
been working with women and families facing pregnancy decisions in
Tehama County since June 2018.

In the U.S. half of pregnancies are unplanned. 43% of unplanned
pregnancies end in abortion.

LifeNet provides an array of services free of charge including: Crisis
intervention through options counseling & adoption referrals; free
pregnancy testing; parent equipping through an incentive-based
education program that helps provide for mom and baby’s material
needs at our boutique; and support and healing through Abortion
Recovery Bible Studies.

Women and men coming to us are receiving practical help,
empowering them to make life-affirming decisions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I bring my children?
We love children, but for this event we ask that you make childcare
arrangements. This will allow us to share about our ministry with more
guests who might partner with us.

Can I bring my baby if he/she sits on my lap?
Please help us to provide a distraction-free environment for guests to
hear the powerful message of life by seeking childcare if possible.

How do I let my guests know about the financial appeal?
It's best to be clear about the nature of a fundraiser when you invite
your guests. One way you can say this is, "Would you like to join me at
the LifeNet banquet to hear about the life saving work God is doing
through that ministry and find out how you can help through prayer,
volunteering and financial support?"

Does it matter if only one spouse can attend?
If only one spouse can attend, please welcome them. However,
encourage both spouses to attend so they can make a decision
together in unity about partnership with the ministry.
