Department of Forensic Science

Master program in Forensic science
Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat
University (TU) has established the program
in forensic science offering master’s degree
(Forensic science). The program aims to produce forensic
scientists with professional skills and ethics to support the
use of forensic science in juridical procedures.
For academic strength, TU has signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with Office of Police Forensic Science
and the Royal Police Cadet Academy (RPCA). The agreement
is to exchange knowledge and technologies with an ultimate
goal to produce qualified post-graduates and research in
the field. In addition, another MOU with Central Institute of
Forensic Science (CIFS) is in progress and expected to be
signed in 2017. This would be one step further to expand col-
laborations of TU with the professional institutes in Thailand.

The program contains a range of essential
courses including lectures, seminars, laboratory prac-
tices and visits at organizations in forensic science
such as CIFS and Institute of Forensic Medicine. The
program has started the admission in academic year
2015 enrolling 18 students. In 2016, much attention
had been obtained from students who seek excel-
lent courses and 17 students were enrolled into the
program.
Course works and Laboratory practices
have been conducted at 2nd floor and 4th floor of
Piyachart building, respectively. In the coming year
2017, the brand new laboratories will be opened
at 6th floor of the building with spacious room and
standard equipment that would create a vibrant
and pleasant environment of learning.

Department of Radiological Technology

Academic
Department of Radiological Technology is
starting to establish the Bachelor of Science program
in Radiological Technology in academic year 2017.
The curriculum course was approved by the Tham-
masat University Council on 30th October 2016 and
accredited by Radiological Technologist Committee
of Thailand. The program typically requires four
years of full-time study, for a total of 145 credits,
consisting 30 credits of fundamental subjects, 109
credits of specific subjects, and 6 credits of electives.
The program provides graduates in-depth
study in various radiologic procedures for Diagnostic
Radiology, Radiation Therapy and Nuclear Medicine.
The curriculum aims to develop our graduates of
radiological technology program to think critically
and strategically, preparing them to take leadership
role in healthcare and society with morality.
The Radiological Technology Laboratory,
which is located on 7th floor of Piyachart Building,
has a variety of medical imaging instruments (e.g.,
general diagnostic x-ray, ultrasound, convention-
al simulator for radiation therapy, mobile x-ray
simulator) Moreover, we signed Memorandum of
Understanding with Department of Radiology of
Thammasat University Hospital serves as a clinical
site for educational support.

Division of Biomedical Engineering Thammasat
University Division of Biomedical Engineering aims at
applying engineering expertise and advances to the
field of medical needs and biomedical tools for the
enhancement of healthcare. We offer a full-time
mode study on Bachelor of Engineering Programme
in Biomedical Engineering (BME) in 2018. The
programme will be launched by the Faculty of Allied
Health Sciences in close collaboration with the Faculty of
Engineering of Thammasat University.
This interdisciplinary programme is focusing
on the application of engineering and technology to
the solution of problems in medicine and biology.
Students will be trained in core biomedical
engineering with a comprehensive view of diagnostic and
therapeutic techniques plus an emphasis on design and
development of medical equipment, connected health
system and IT solution in the Healthcare Industries.
