j]lbs O{–klqsf 10 My experience about NCC(National Cadet Corps) 6 Amazing facts 1. We have about 70,000 thoughts each day! 2. Wearing headphones for an hour can increase the bacteria in ears 700 times. 3. The left side of our brain is better at solving questions and writing while the right side of our brain is better at art or music. 4. It is impossible for most people to lick their own elbow. 5. It takes the body around 12 hours to completely digest foods. 6. Wearing a tie can reduce blood flow to brain by 7.5 percent. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a transformative force established in 2022 B.S. by the Government of Nepal. Its mission is to shape young boys and girls into ideal citizens and future leaders. NCC focuses on overall development, promotes character, leadership, sportsmanship, and the ideals of selfless service. It offers military training in physical fitness, discipline & adventure. The training is guided by a specific theoretical and practical course prepared by the NCC. The trainers of Nepal Army reach out to school for 79 days out of 100 days. For the rest 21 days, students have to go to the army barrack while for the rest 79 days trainers train the students at their respective schools. The training focuses on transforming the participants into capable, physically robust, responsible empathetic citizens that have leadership capabilities. Our school was selected for NCC training too. During 79 days training in school, we were taught drill, khukuri drill, taekwondo and aerobics. We were taught 4 patterns of taekwondo, 2 songs of aerobics and 6 patterns of khukuri drill. Discipline was most while training. We were not allowed to have side talks, to speak in the middle of training unless our trainers allowed for it. Due to the training the unity among us students was highly increased. We were 18 girls and 18 boys, 36 as a whole total We experienced a lot of challenges and fun activities. NCC training taught us that all the things should be completed by the deadline and should be completed perfectly. Time management, leadership, discipline, and teamwork are clearly taught during NCC. After the NCC training we felt change in our routine and behaviour. To be honest we learned to stay without any use of mobile. We learnt that we can be happy with what we have. E-Magazine VEDIC 19 ‘The World of Magic’ 6 years ago, near the city of Tokyo in Japan ‘The Gate of Hell’ opened and demons started coming out and the Japanese Government sent an army of sorcerers(magicians) to fight the demons but suddenly a boy came to the battle area and said, “I can beat them all by myself you don’t have to waste your sorcerers for the battle.” They were very shocked but could feel the power that the boy had. So, they decided to leave and the boy started to fight the demons alone. It was the year of 1989, in the month of December, in a small village of Japan a boy called Senshi was born. After a few years, when Senshi was just a little child his mom said, “About 50 years ago, ‘The Gate of Hell’ had opened and the demon king with his army of demons attacked the Earth and its people. So, that’s why your grandpa and his 11 friends decided to fight the demons to save the world. In the fight 7 of his friends died but he and his other 4 friends decided to keep fighting and then they defeated all the demons but not the demon king and to defeat the demon king and close ‘The Gate of Hell’ another one of his friends sacrificed himself. Your grandpa also used a Kantana in the battle but after his death no one has ever known where the Kantana is and that has always been a mystery ever since. Your grandpa and his friends knew that ‘The Gate of Hell’ would open again and the demon king would come back so that’s why they made their own techniques by using magic and passed on the technique to one of their family member repeatedly and now your father will pass on the technique to you in the near future and son our family is the first family out of the four families called the Purotekuta family.” Then Senshi understood the history of his family and ‘The Gate of Hell’. 25 years later, when Senshi was 29 years old, he had gone to a local playground in the city of Tokyo with his puppy named Tommy and his little brother Sukoshi. In the playground, they saw a treasure map and then they thought that the adventure to find the treasure would be fun. So, they sailed across the ocean to a large island with a very dense forest and while searching the island for treasure they met the descendent of the 3 friends of his grandpa and then Senshi asked, “Are you the descendent of the 3 people who fought the demons?” They said, “Yes, we are but we can’t find the descendent of the first one.” Senshi said that, “I’m the descendent of the first one.” All three of them were shocked and they said, “So, you’re here to take the Kantana of your grandpa.” Senshi said, “No, I’m just here to find the treasure in this map.” They said, “The treasure in this map is your grandpa’s Kantana and the only one who can use it is you.” After understanding it, Senshi and those three people became friends. They went to the location of the treasure and were surprised to see that a detective has already

j]lbs O{–klqsf 20 found the treasure. A princess was behind the detective with a large castle near the treasure. Suddenly, some guards from behind saw them and thought that they were pirates but they explained that they were not. Then Senshi asked to his friends what his technique is called and they said that it is called world eater. After everyone understood everything and became happy suddenly some real pirates came and attacked the whole island and started killing people. The pirates also had a robot which killed Senshi’s dog and his little brother. Senshi became so mad that he used the world eater technique directly at pirates killing all of them. After the fight, Senshi became a super hero for the people and it was clear Senshi was the strongest out of the four. In the present time, Senshi decided to fight the demons alone as he had trained a lot and had completely mastered his technique as he could perfectly use world eater and heal himself. He is 10 times faster than normal people and 100 times stronger than normal people. He easily killed all the normal demons but before he fights with the demon king, he asked him his name and the demon king said, “My name is Shi”. Then they start fighting. Senshi uses his Kantana which gives him the ability to fly and it can cut anything from far away but still Shi is dominating even after his friends come to help him and fight Shi. They still can’t beat him. At the end when Shi is about kill all of them the princess brings the other weapons of the other 3 families. The second family called the Atakka family’s sorcerer uses two enchanted axes as their weapons. The third family called the Mizu No Hito family’s sorcerer uses an enchanted trident and the fourth family called the Waka family’s sorcerer uses a large hammer but after they got their weapons, they immediately destroyed it and said, “We are not the real descendent of the three families. Shi gave us power that’s why we joined his army and became his assistants. We went to the island to destroy the kantana but after knowing you we decided to get the other 3 weapons through you first. We have already killed the real descendent of the three families and we did not think that it would be this easy to fool you. You are really dumb! Hahahahaha!!!!!” They started laughing loudly and started dominating him even more. When Senshi was about to die all the citizens came and gave their powers to Senshi and Senshi started over powering them and Shi got worried and killed his assistants and ate their bodies to gain more power but still that wasn’t enough after fighting continuously for 11 days. At the end, Senshi killed Shi and closed ‘The Gate of Hell’ forever. The day after the battle had ended, it was Senshi’s birthday and in the party, they cut a large cake where there were rainbow and sunshine. At the end, the friendship between Senshi and the princess was known as the best friendship in the world. A story by Shreedarsh Maharjan Grade IV

E-Magazine VEDIC 21 A Trip to Chitlang Have you ever visited Chitlang? If, yes how was your experience? I guess it was a great experience, as our experience was also great. But if you haven't visited CHITLANG and want to know how Chitlang is? Then no need to worry, as today I am going to share my experience through this article. Nepal is a mountainous country with thousands of beautiful mountains. There are a lot of beautiful, mesmerizing, and wonderful places to visit that are located in these mountains. Among these various places, our school took us to visit Chitlang. It was a two-day and one-night trip, but from this trip, we learned and got an experience that will forever last with us. We all got to experience a normal village life and that was surprisingly a new experience for all of us. As we are all of us unaware of this kind of lifestyle. Chitlang truly reflects the beauty of our country. I, myself feel blessed that I got a chance to visit this wonderful place. We even got to enjoy the local delicacies of Chitlang like Goat's cheese and jam prepared from local fruits. All of us enjoyed and accumulated some knowledge at the same time. We got to visit some local attractions as well. We got to know how and why this amazing place got the name Chitlang. Do you know how Chitlang got its name? So, Chitlang is a name derived from the Newari language. In the Newari language Cheese stands for salt and la Stands for pathway. This name eventually got converted into Chitlang. Now, you may ask what connection "Salt" and "Pathway" have to do with the name Chitlang. Chitlang was a pathway that was used to transport salt so, this was the history behind the name Chitlang. We even visited the local school of Chitlang, and from this, we came to know the vast difference between our school and the School of Chitlang. We had a conversation with local people as well. We visited the home of Prithvi Narayan Shah as well. It was probably the most adventurous, wonderful, and amazing experience that me and my friends had. This tour gave us the experience of a lifetime. If our school had not decided to take us on this tour, then we would have missed out an opportunity to get new experiences. So, all of us are thankful to our school. This tour was beyond our imagination. We got to do various new activities. Thanks to our school. The experience was the greatest of all on this tour. ShrutiThapa Grade VI Did you know? The radishes produced in Chitlang are being wasted because the farmers are being underpaid.

E-Magazine VEDIC 39 A REVIEW ON SOLVING YOUR PROBLEM. lie. No no no Real people do have problems, so what's your problem? ● Can't be good enough ? ● Can't complete some tasks? ● Hates the world and everyone in it ? ● Can't stop complaining ? ● Stuck in a bad relationship ? ● Tired of everything ? I'm the person who genuinely takes time to get to know someone. Ive met alot of people this year all over the world. I got connected to many people this year and when I got to know them I realised everyone has issues. For example: I have trust issues, I'm impatient, I don't give people second chances, I'm not perfect, if I hear a lie even after knowing the truth I'll never be the same again etc and I need to change them to be better. BUT, most of the people will never do something about their problems and as a result, they'll never go away from the problem. If you have problems in your life, it doesn't mean the world will end! What do you think? Just because you have a problem the world will stop spinning? Everyone does have a problem, it's just the way you take it! I bet you your problems are If you have problems do something because something is better than nothing. When we get into a problem, we get way too panicked and keep on thinking about the solution for a long period of time without doing anything. When we get into a problem we only think about two things either the replacement or the solution. And yet, most people do nothing but you need to dare to be bigger than your problems, chase your problems because your problems will never get solved until you start dealing with it. Everyone has a problem.ME, YOU, HIM, HER, THEM and many other people. I've never met people who have a perfect life. wait a minute I have to do that differently! I actually did meet people who pretend to have a perfect life all the time but when I got to know them I was amazed, you know why ? Because they do have problems in fact more than we do. But if you go and ask them how are you ? They'll start to manlog about their perfect life, how perfectly everything is going on with them but the bitter truth is they're often filled with busy mind doing nothing and thinking thousands if lies to hide that one
