As part of this endeavor, a solar panel was recently turned over to the 15 members of the Baobo Longganapan Farmers Association situated in Sitio Baobo, Barangay Longganapan, Laak, Davao de Oro, with corresponding training provided onsolarpanel installation. Officials of the College attended the outreach program, including the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Gloryjean C. Altamera;the Chieffor Administration and Finance, Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay; the Research and Development Division Director, Mr. Jeson N. Geroche; the Student Affairs and Services Division Director, Ms. JudithR. Tudy; As the institution is chartered with great efforts and cooperation to fulfill its goal of becoming a responsive, integrative, and transparent powerhouse in the name of public service, the Extension Services Section of Davao de Oro State College-Montevista Branch conducted a Community Needs Assessment at Barangay New Dalaguete, Montevista, Davao de Oro on February 9, 2023. DDOSC- ESS Montevista conducts CNA for Project DILAAB This activity aimed to identify the target beneficiaries' actual needs and address them by designing appropriate extension projects under Program DILAAB (Drive for Innovation, Learning Advancement, and Alliance Building). Hon. Rose Aet, the Barangay Captain, and barangay functionarieswelcomedandaccommodatedthe visiting team composed of the institution's faculty, staff, and students. The team visited houses and interviewed the community members, who also willingly shared the data needed, which helped the team successfully pull off the activity.

The partnership will focus on the Aguinaldo and Kilagding-Longganapan Community Development Project. The signing ceremony was attended by College President Dr. Christie Jean V. Ganiera, CESE, ESD Director Ms. Rona C. Apolinario, MATMath, and GNIP Country Director Mr. Jae Choon Lee. The collaboration was met with gratitude and anticipation for the future benefits by Ms. Visitacion Apostol, the Senior Manager of GNIP. GNIP is an international humanitarian development NGO from South Korea, working towards a zero hunger and harmonious living community, aligning with the College's goals ofimprovingpartner communities'well-being. 3 DDOSC-ESS Maragusan, DSWD Maragusan, DepEd Maragusan join forces for a tree-planting activity The DDOSC - Maragusan Extension Services Section, Department of Social Welfare & Development(DSWD), and Department of Education (DepEd) collaborated for a tree planting activity on February 28, 2023, at DDOSC - Maragusan Farm 2, Purok Lapu-Lapu, Brgy. New Albay, Maragusan, Davao de Oro. This tree planting activity is part of the DepEd Alternative Learning System Support and Development (ASAD) program. The dedication to preserve our home planet is represented by this effort. Present to this activity were the ALS Students, DSWD members, DepEd representatives and DDOSC faculty and staff attendedthis event. As part of the implementation of the DARRDEN Collaborative Project, the Extension Services Section of Maragusan sealed a partnership with the Philippine Council of Women (PCOW) Maragusan Chapter and 4H- youth Club through a ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 24, 2023 . Geraldford Balbin, Municipal Mayor of New Bataan, on March 1, 2023. The meeting aims to strengthen the partnership through the discussion on the possible collaboration and to forge MOA on the proposed extension program. This program comprises four components' projects (Project LIPaD, Project ENRICH, Project ARAL, and Project DRREP) representing each academic program andthenon-teachingpersonnelofthe campus. 4 DDOSC-ESS New Bataan conduct CNA, coordination meeting for Project LIPaD The Extension Services Section New Bataan Branch in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Department, successfully conducted the Inception Meeting and Community Needs Assessment to the Camarin Manlobong Taytayan Onion Farmers SLP Association (CAMATOFA) Members in the implementation of the Project LIPaD: Livelihood, Innovation, Productivity, and Developmentfor Community Development on January 19, 2023, at Purok 6, Andap, New Bataan, Davao de Oro. The said meeting aimed to strengthen the partnership through the discussion on the possible collaboration and to forge MOA on the proposed extension of Project LIPaD. Further, the CNA sought to identify the necessary seminars and training to be conducted. This will also assess the association's needs in improving their Chocolate production in product trademark and marketing strategies. Kidawa and Brgy. Talle, Laak, Davao de Oro from February to December 2020. As such, this impact assessment aimed to measure the effectiveness of the aforementioned completed project and analyze the progressofthe interventionandactivities conducted. DDOSC-ESD conducts community area validation As part of the implementation of the collaborative project of DDOSC and DOST XI entitled Community Empowerment through Science and Technology for the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas, Indigenous People, and Marginalized Communities in Davao de Oro 2.0., the Extension Services Division conducted a community area validation to the Baobo Longganapan Farmers Association (BALOFA) members on April 20, 2023 at Sitio Baobo, Longganapan, Laak, Davao deOro. DDOSC-ESD conducts impact assessment DDOSC-ESS Montevista collaborates with BJMP-Montevista for a feeding program Montevista, Davao de Oro - On April 23, 2023, the Davao de Oro State College Montevista (DDOSC Montevista) teamed up with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) for a meaningful outreach program. Through the college's Extension Services Section, they participated in a feeding program for residents of the National HousingAuthority (NHA) in NewVisayas, Montevista. Spearheadedby SJO1Robert Dawn M.Rodriguez, Chief of Community Relations Service, and JO2 Liquit, the activity aimed to bring support and foster positive connections with the local community. DDOSC faculty and staff, along with Criminology interns from the Legacy College of Compostela (LCC), joined hands with the BJMP personnel in serving meals and interacting with the NHAresidents.

The program aimed to develop financial literacy and extend help to the community. Rona C. Apolinario, MAT-Math, emphasized the institution's commitment to serving the community through services and programs. The beneficiaries were reminded of the importance of saving money and becoming financially literate. Cherwin P. Sejuela shared insights on financial stability and wise money management, while Johnvir Torreon, CPA, discussed budgeting, saving, and investing. The Junior Society of Entrepreneurs officers provided support to the children of Barangay Panansalan. The event concluded withwordsof gratitude fromMs.AprilRose DianneAbella. The Extension Services Section of DDOSC Maragusan delved into the heart of Barangay Bagong Silang on May 3, 2023, conducting a Community Needs Assessment in Purok Vanda and Purok Azucean. Dedicated faculties and staff actively participated in gathering valuable information to effectively address the needs of the community's beneficiaries. This initiative aimed to shed light on the specific requirements and challenges faced by residents in these two Puroks. One of the highlights during the activity was the Karate Workshop participated by Barangay Tanod of Brgy. San Jose. The trainers during the workshop were SAI Rolando Colita, JoshdelQ.Alcuizar, and Gabriel DominicA.Ruba In the afternoon, Ms. Rona C. Apolinario, the Extension Services Director; Mr. Christopher Cabillar, PNP - Compostela; and Hon. James Afliccion gave their particularmessages. Moreover, present during the activity were Ms. April Rose Dianne Abella, Extension Services Section Head of Main Campus; ESD Staff, Mr. Albert John Bigonte; and Ms. Karen Gay Balmores. On the other hand, Ramon P. Sebuan, Project Leader/Program Head of the Criminology Department; Ms. Maida Mae Calpo, Project Coordinator; Criminology Department Instructors, Hannah Lou Librano; Diony Rose B. Claveria; Diosdado H. Cruz Jr.; Pet Francis H. Casumpang; and Baby Grace P. Postrano were also present in the culmination of the Adopt-A-Barangay TanodProgram. The Extension Services Section of DDOSC Montevista conducted a Stress Management and Relief Operation for the victims of an earthquake and flashfloods in Davao de Oro on May 20, 2023, at. Mainit, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro. The activity provided psychological support and necessities tothose affectedby thedisaster. The program was supported by the Master Teacher's group of New Bataan District and included a debriefing by Mr. Renante C. Alia, who emphasized the importance of resilience. Donations of rice, noodles, canned goods, and oldclotheswere alsodistributed. DDOSC-ESS Montevista Extension Services conducts stress management debriefing and relief operation Despite the difficult circumstances, the victims were grateful for the assistance they received. The operation was a testament to the resilience and compassion of thehumanspiritintimesof crisis.

DDOSC - ESS New Bataan, NSTP New Bataan extend support to children in Tent City, Cabinuangan, New Bataan This extension project will be implemented in various marginalized areas in Davao de Oro, including Sitio Cambudlot, Brgy. San Miguel, Compostela, Davao de Oro. As such, this Community Needs Assessment aims to gather information and identify the specific needs and challenges faced by the people in Sitio Cambudlot. With this activity, the proponents of this project could propose community extension initiatives that are long-term and holistic in approach and can be effective agents of societal transformationofthe target communities. On the other hand, the team of the DASIG program paid a courtesy call to Mr. Oscar Blase; the Teacher InCharge of Sitio Cambudlot Elementary School, and Mr. Rodolfo Eceja; the Purok Chairperson of Sitio Cambudlot Purok 6, Brgy. The Teacher Education Department (TED) of Davao de Oro State College successfully conducted an Outreach Program called Literacy and Numeracy Training with the theme "Empowering Minds Through Magic of Reading and Counting" on May 31, 2023 at Bongkilaton Integrated School in Ngan, Compostela, DavaodeOro. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed, sealing the partnership for the establishment of a Demonstration Farm in New Bataan. This project aims to showcase sustainable farming practices and serve as a learning ground for local farmers. Representatives from all parties, including DDOSC College President, Dr. Christie Jean V. Arnold C. Rusiana signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a strong partnership for the upcoming extension initiatives of DDOSC-Maragusan. The Extension Services Division of Davao de Oro State College, in collaboration with the Student Affairs & Services Division, Human Resource Management Unit, and Ecological Solid Waste Management Unit, conducted the “Pag-amuma: Clean Up Drive & Tree Planting Activity” on June 1, 2023,for environmental sustainability. The Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC) organized a training workshop titled "Caring for All: A Training Workshop on Supporting Health and Gender Equality" on June 23, 2023, for earthquake evacuees in New Bataan. The event aimed to promote health and gender equality through interactive sessions and engaging discussions. DDOSC-ESD spearheads collegewide tree planting; clean-up drive As such, this activity is one of the College’s efforts to address environmental crises such as global warming, biodiversity loss, and toxic pollution of ecological systems. Notably, this activity is one of the kick off activities for DDOSC’s 10th-Year Charter Day Celebration. DDOSC-ESS New Bataan conduct training-workshop on supporting health and gender equality Ms. April Rose Dianne Abella provided valuable insights on Gender and Development (GAD) awareness, while PAT Jay L Mahumas led sessions on anti-smoking and drug abuse. These sessions empowered participants with essential knowledge and skills to build a more inclusive andequitable community.

The College President, Dr. Christie Jean C. Villanueva-Ganiera, and heads of offices and units from the Main campus participated in the activity. As part of the institution’s objective, which is to uphold quality public service among its students, employees, and stakeholders and in relation to the PCSA’s theme, this activity was arranged to reunite the college’s employees by joining the activity and perhaps strengthen amity within the College to achieve extensive public service and make the institution a future-ready space for both academic andpublic service areas. DDOSC Celebrates 123rd PCSA with Tree Planting, Alay Linis In July 19, 2023, DDOSC-Extension Services section Montevista BSED English students embarked on an outreach program to Purok 10, Magsaysay Nabunturan, connecting with the Dibabawon and Manguangan tribes. The program fostered cultural exchange through sharing stories, music, dances, and arts. Students also collected essential goods like rice andcannedgoodsdistributedtocommunitymembers. This initiative provided a platform for students to embrace cultural diversity and build solidarity with indigenous communities. The program's impact transcended cultural exchange, promoting a deeper appreciation for indigenous cultures and leaving a lastingpositive influence. DdOSC is graced by the presence of Ms. Leilani C. Parel, the Acting Director II ofthe Civil Service Commission Field Office of RO XI, who also took part in the tree planting initiative. Moreover, an "Alay Linis" was simultaneously conductedby the faculty andstaff.

Also, Dr. Matunhay highlighted that this event embodies the College’s commitment to being the force for positive change and academic pillar of development in its truest sense. DDOSC ESD conducts agency in-house review of extension project proposal As part of the implementation of the - - Community Empowerment through Science and Technology for the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas in Davao de Oro, the Department of Science and Technology XI - Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) -Davao de Oro, together with the Davao de Oro State College – Extension Services Division, conducted a Medical Mission, Bloodletting activity with 42 donors, and Food Hygiene Sanitation Training last September 1, 2023, at Bgry. Mangayon, Compostela, Davao de Oro, also conducted a feeding Program at Mangayon Elementary School with 59 students and 6 School teachers. Ms. April Rose Dianne Abella, MBA, Extension Services Division Director, welcomed the proponents and the esteemed evaluators. In her welcome message, Director Abella underlined that this undertaking represents a significant milestone in the ongoing commitment of the College to delivering impactful initiatives that drive positive change in our communities. Also, she expressed that the ultimate goal of the AIHR 2023 is to prioritize extension initiatives that will maximize the College’s impact on the communities being served. Meanwhile, Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva–Ganiera, CESE, College President, duly represented by Dr. Lilybeth Musong– Matunhay,ChiefforAdministrationandFinance, gave Furthermore, Dr. Rowee Joy S. Decena, Associate Professor, Western Mindanao State University, and Dr. Fernando V. The IMREC 2023 was organized by the Batanes State College (BSC), in partnership with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC), Ifugao State University (IfSU), and Bohol Island State University (BISU). DDOSC co-hosts 1st IMREC The Davao de Oro State College Maragusan conducted an extension activity September 13, 2023, focusing on plant propagation and cardaba banana flour processing. Resource speaker Maam Sarah Gerundio discussed and demonstrated plant propagation through grafting, while sir Nick Alvin Asidoy shared the benefits of cardaba banana and the process of making flour from it. The event was attended by the Purok Council of Women of Barangay Coronobe, Maragusan, Davao de Oro, students, faculty, and staff of Davao de Oro State College. IMREC 2023 aims to offer a scholarly platform for researchers, professionals, scholars, and educators to share their most recent research initiatives, findings, conceptual proposals, and studies concerning extensionservices.

The said undertaking was participated by the Kaimunan Lumad sang Compostela (KLC) members. Ms. Felicitas A. Gabriel and Ms. Dalope Amodayon served as resource speakers who shared their knowledge and expertise on traditionalBeads Making and Dagmay Weaving. The bead jewelry-making workshop aimed to provide a platform for indigenous communities to learn and engage in the traditional art of bead jewelry making. This allows participants to appreciate and preserve indigenous craft and artistic traditions, helping to pass down these cultural practices to future generations. Undoubtedly, the spirit of service embodied the very essenceofthe school's visionary ideals. 15 DDOSC Montevista's Remarkable Outreach Program Extends the Celebration of Indigenous People's Month On October 31, 2023, amidst the rolling hills of Barangay New Dalaguete, Montevista Davao de Oro, a beautiful tapestry of respect, appreciation, and cultural preservation was woven by the Davao De Oro State CollegeMontevistaBranch. November 22, 2023 - The Municipality of Maragusan organized an event where all of their partner agencies received an award and DDOSC was one of the awardeesduring the “Gabing Parangal”. DDOSCMaragusan received a Plaque of Appreciation where recognizing our valuable support and contribution to the government’s program “ADOPTOR” in promoting the conservation, protection, preservation, and development of creek in the municipality under the Adopt-a-creek Program implemented by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office. DDOSC- New ESS New Bataan conducts CNA for Project SAS2 On November 24, 2023, a significant Community Needs Assessment was conducted for Project SAS2 at Cogonon Integrated School. The activity brought together a total of 11 enthusiastic teaching personnel (REG), along with one dedicated nonteaching personnel (J.O), collectively forming a team committed to understanding and addressing the unique needs of the school community. The gathering aimed to explore the educational landscape, identify gaps, and determine the specific requirements for successfulprojectimplementation.

The main objective of the library tour was to raise awareness among the participants about the importance of literacy and the benefits of reading. It aimed to encourage the participants to develop and maintain strong reading habits. The activity also aimed to foster a love for reading by emphasizing the joy and enrichment that can come from engaging with books and other writtenmaterials. On the same day, the College's Student Affairs and Services Division conducted the “Emerging Leaders: Empowering High School Student Leaders with College-led Leadership Training.” The primary aim of this training was to nurture leadership skills among high school students. This includes communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. On the second day, the training shifted focus under the guidance of Jover F. Lordan, In Charge of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit. Participants engaged in Basic First Aid and Emergency Response Training, reinforcing their preparedness for potential challenges in the field. Overall, this initiative strengthens the individual capabilities of extension program/project proponents and fortifies the College's extension endeavors, ensuring a more impactful and resilient community engagement. This training was conducted to empower extension programs and project proponents with the skills and competencies essential for effectively fulfilling their roles and responsibilities. Over the course of this training, participants benefitted from a diverse range of sessions facilitatedbydifferent resource speakers. On the first day, Mark Anthony Balaba, staff of the ES Section in Montevista, covered essential topics on earthquakes and Earthquake Hazards. Karen Gay D. Balmores, a staff member from the ESD, provided insights into Volcanoes, Volcanic Hazards, and their Impacts. JaredC. Torlao,fromthe ES SectioninNew Bataan, shared valuable knowledge on Community and Family Preparedness through an Earthquake Safety Guide. In the afternoon, Albert John B. Bigonte and Rodolfo F. Tobera, Jr., staff members from the ESD and RDD, respectively, conducted hands-on Canva and Adobe training to hone the abilities of participants in creating impactful Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials. The day was rounded off with a session training on budget utilization, management, and resource allocation led by Aimee Lyn M. Torreon from the Budget Unit and Rorichel Joy S. Diola from the Accounting Unit, equipping the participants with strategic insights to amplify the impact of their programs andprojects. The Extension Services Division, Alumni Affairs and Services Unit, and Davao de Oro State College Main Campus, Alumni Association Inc. conducted their volunteer activity entitled "Unity in Action: Celebrating National Volunteers Month" for the observance of Proclamation No. 55, s. 1998, declaring the Month of December of every year as the National Volunteer Month on December 29, 2023. Unity in Action: DDOSC-ESD, Alumni Affairs and Services Unit celebrates National Volunteer Month with senior citizens Eight selected senior citizens around Brgy. Poblacion with limited mobilities were given essential services such as food and kind goods, in addressing their needs and contributing to their overall quality of life. One man cried happy tears when he received a gift from DDOSC, showing how much it meant to him andtohis family. Ms. Geber MaeAbarca, Mr. LloydComing, Ms. Eileen Libron and Mr. Mikhael Simene together with Hon. AlejandroArtazoparticipatedinthe saidactivity. During the product pitch activity, Serot met the vegetable and fruit vendors at Compostela Public Markets. The innovative features and practicality of the tool were highlighted, showcasing its potential to streamline and enhance the grating process for the vendors. Further, this product pitch marks not only the introduction of a promising tool but also the beginning of a collaborative journey toward practical solutions that positively impact the lives and businessesofthe community inCompostela.
