ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

1. ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS)

ISO 9001 certification is a standard requirement for a quality management system. It is a useful tool to help
organizations become more efficient, effective, and improve customer satisfaction. In fact, there are over one
million companies in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001.
Furthermore, ISO 9001 standard is based on quality management principles. This including a strong customer
focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement.
Consequently, ISO 9001 is widely applicable all over the world especially in Malaysia, Southeast Asia, Europe,
United States, etc.

2. ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS)

ISO 14001 certification is a standard requirement for Environmental Management System (EMS). This was
developed by a non-governmental international organization – ISO. ISO 14001 Standard is popular among the
international system and widely adopted by organizations. This system is like a tool that can help the
organization guarantee to the stakeholder that environmental impact is being monitored, addressed, and
improved. ISO 14001 is a system that can be certified. ISO 14001 standard first launched in 1996. Almost every 5
to 10 years, the requirement will be revised. The latest version of ISO 14001 is ISO 14001:2015 which was
released in the year 2015.
