Sizes XS-3X, 5 Bust Sizes

• The Rachel Tank is an original design by Porcelynne.
This pattern was created to incorporate a wide vari-
ety of body sizes. Use the chart below to determine
which size you best fit into. This pattern is available
in sizes XS through 3X. Each size has 5 options for
bust sizes: A/B, C/D, E/F. G/H and I/J. These cup
sizes may not correspond to your ready to wear bra
size, choose based on the measurements and not the
size you normally wear off the rack.

• This design is not supposed to be tight fitting. The
patterns were created to fit the large number of sizes
for each range. If you prefer a snugger fit on the bust,
go down a cup size. If you prefer a snugger fit overall,
remove 2” from your own hip and waist measure-
ments and choose your size from the chart.

Digitizing Patterns

We digitize patterns for use with the CAD programs
PolyPattern Design Pro or Adobe Illustrator. With
PolyPattern Design Pro, we digitize and correct
patterns for both pattern manipulation and grading.
Hand drafting patterns can have minor errors. During
the digitization process, we verify the seam lengths and
check pattern shapes for accuracy. Digitizing services
start at $125 and include up to 1 hour of work. Each
additional hour of work is charged at $85 per hour.

Grading Patterns

We are well-versed in grading for the lingerie industry
as well as most ready-to-wear items. A thorough size
chart is required prior to any grade work. Most
grading is done in PolyPattern Design Pro. In special
circumstances, grading can be done in Adobe
Illustrator, although this is not preferred and may take
longer, especially when grading changes are necessary.
The first pattern graded for a client is often the most expensive. Grade rules are created for each
customer, based on their size chart, and their base size. Similar and subsequent patterns are likely
to cost less as our familiarity with the customer’s patterns create more efficiency. Grading
services start at $375 and include up to 3 hours of work. Each additional hour is billed at $85 per
hour.

Optional services include transforming patterns from PolyPattern Design Pro into downloadable PORCELYNNE CATALOG l Page 57
patterns through Adobe Illustrator. Options for patterns: custom line designs for each size,
nesting patterns, paper size page layouts and layers for sizes. Minimal Illustrator options include
transforming lines from PolyPattern to an Illustrator friendly format – this can take an hour or
more depending on the number of pattern pieces and sizes.

Pattern Alteration, Product Development & Samples

We presently do not offer product development or sample making services. If a base pattern is
provided, we can alter and manipulate a pattern for your design, but we do not offer sampling and
fitting services. It is expected that you fit the patterns and make changes to the pattern prior to
our involvement with grading. We recommend making your base size in the middle or top end of
your range. This allows body curvature to be built into the shapes. Pattern manipulation services
starts at $250 and include up to 2 hours of work. Each additional hour is billed at $85 an hour.

Porcelynne acts as a partner for PolyPattern to provide software and training to
individuals and businesses in the US and Canada.

PolyPattern Design Pro is a versatile pattern making software to efficienty draft and
grade patterns. PolyPattern creates an environment that encourages hand drafters to
convert to CAD drafting and never turn back.

SIMPLE INTERFACE

Porcelynne has begun to develop online courses to accompany the books written by Jennifer
Lynne Matthews-Fairbanks. The first available course is for training on the PolyPattern pattern

INSTRUCTION AND EDUCATION

Jennifer is available to teach workshops and courses on a variety of different topics. For
conferences and group workshops, rates start at $500 for up to 4 hours of instruction. Each
hour over is billed at $125 an hour. Prices may vary based on number of students and length
of workshop. All travel, room and board are required to be covered. Assistants may be
required for large workshops.

POLYPATTERN FOR EDUCATION

PolyPattern is available for educational institutions at no charge. If your school is interested in
providing an education in pattern drafting with PolyPattern Design Pro and Marker software,
please contact us at [email protected]. With your inquiry, please provide the school
name, your role at the school, the current patternmaking software being used, the number of
classes PolyPattern might be taught in and the average class size.

EDUCATOR REVIEW COPIES

As a way to encourage instructor coordination, we offer review copies of our books for
educators and schools. Books can be requested in digital copy or print. All international
requests will only be honored in digital form. When an online course is released to accompany
a book, you can request to receive access to the course, free of charge.

EDUCATOR COURSES

If you are an educator and wish to publish a course on our platform, please contact us with a
proposal for the material you wish to present. You must be available to answer questions by
students in an ongoing basis or your course will be discontinued. All courses must be priced
under $50 to keep the material attainable.

For course development, only courses that have been fully approved by Porcelynne will
be allowed to be published for sale. The course split can vary based on the amount of
