Class Prophecy

After putting final touches on my design _for the 1988 model of the Spatsmobile , I, Eric
Christensen, and the president of Spatsmobile Motors, Byron Sievers, took the new model out
for a test. In order to check the entire components, we had to go over 2 , 000 miles. This was
done to test the "2, 000-mile-per-gallon pill" developed by the head chemist of Nash Chemica ls
Incorporated, Maria "Jee" Vrancken. He nry Nash is the founder and president of the company .
We swung out onto the ultrastate highway and ran into a large semi-truck. We pulled over and
found it was driven by Wayne Sampson, who now owns the largest trucking company in Wa lnut.
A taxi stopped to see what was wrong. The driver was none other than Ron Corey. Since he
drove between Walnut and Elk Horn so much, he decided to make a profit by starting a taxi
service . We found that we were just dented up a little, so we went to see Dennis Akers to fi x i t.
Akers' speedy service had us on our way in no time. By now it was almost noon so we stopped
at a restaurant to eat. The proprietor, Ed Namanny, was there to meet us. He thought we were
the business managers he'd sent for. I t seems Ed has been having trouble. All the food se ems
to be disappearing and he doesn't know where jt could have gone . Just then a car drove up and
out came Sa.Hy Adams and Mylene Graham. We were surprised to find they were the managers
Ed expected. By the time we got to Washington, D. C. we were exhausted. We had a hard
time finding a place to stay, because the re were so many people there to celebrate the newly
elected President of the United States, Vena Rossmann, first wo ma n president. We found that
her vice-president was Doug Matthies. What a team! We heard a siren from behind and saw
Lynn Hansen jump off a police-cycle. We were illegally parked, but we had a place to sta y for
the night, now. Byron rose with a sore throat so we went to see Doctor Charles Carroll. Nurse,
Linda Keller gave him some pills.

Off again. We stopped in New York only long enough to tour Univac Computer Corporation
headed by Dave Rasmussen. Our guide was Dave' s wife, Judy , formerly Judy Jorgenson. While
driving to Florida we had to stop to see the first woma n astrona ut team, Barbara McAvoy and
Arlene Buttenschon take off. They are to re ndezvous on the moon.

Driving on, we came upon a lady having car trouble. I t was Cheri Smyser on her way to
her beauty salon. Cheri is a model for the shop. We gave he r a ride to her business, where we
met Sue Clausen, the hair dresser and partner. The first customer of the day had just arrived
i n her limousine. It was Vivian Anderson, who has been making big money in the stocks since
she won a million dollars in a corn flakes c ontest.

After a weary trip home , we found our secretary in a fre nzy. She said we had just received
a call to go to the west coast on a big trip. A band of folk singers turned pop recording artists
wanted us to design a folk singer type car for them. The group's lead singer, Gary Harris, and
female vocalist; Janice Boll. are in need of transportation since they were rejected by the re st
of the group for si~ging on tune. Here we go again!
