This yea r the junior c lass has really been busy. \Ve started out the year by-selling refresh- ..
m e nts at a ll the home football games. Come r a in or shine the juniors wer e always there ,
especially the misty night of homecoming when we won first place with "Leaping to Victory, "
Frog. Connie P e tersen was the homecoming queen candidate from our class.
In November we presented our class play entitled "They Gave Him a Co- ed" with every
member of our c lass p a rticipating. After the play, we held our slave auction.
"The Gay Nineties" wa s the theme of the annua l Junior-Senior Prom presented by the
Juniors. It certainly was fun to work on it. Thanks to our class sponsors, Mrs. Kreis, Mrs.
Smith, Mr. Hopp, and Mr. Lane, we finis hed putting up our dec orations just in time.
Barbara Johnk, Stanley Corey, and Robert J acobsen were our representatives to the
student cow1cil. We also had r epr esentati ves from our cl ass in sports, dec l am, paper news,
mus ic , a nd band.
This year has been very busy but fun for all the Juniors .

The s chool year of 1961-' 62 was an eventful year for the Sophomore c l ass . To begin the
year, th3 sophomores had a cl ass "fun night." Our homecoming float was "Let's Cut 'Em to
Pizzas " and the queen's attenda nt from our class was Linda Christe nse n. During football a nd
basken>all season, m any of the sophomores participated in these activities . In t he spring , the
sophomores ent ert ained the ~igh s c hool at th e "Mardi Gras." Othe r eve nts and activities
during the year were decla m, band, track, mus ic a nd m a ny different c lubs.
We feel that th is is a ver y profitabl e a nd enjoyable year for our c l ass .
