The strokes that are made while perfoming Thalam is called
Aksharam.These Aksharams will countain particular letters of the
same measurement and they will be any of the one found in
Panchajaathi.They are called “Gathi”,When counted 4,3,7,5,9 to
each Aksharam,they are known as
Chatusraghathi,Thisraghathi,Misraghathi,Khantaghathi and
Sankeernaghathi.

speeds.slow,medium and fast.We call it as

kalam.

hands.Here,a meaning is expressed by hand
gestures.The mudhras are of many types namely,Single

mudhra and Mandra mudhra.
