Monday - Thursday :
7:30 am – 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Friday:
7:30 am – 12:00 pm for loading/unloading
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm for unloading

Excepted for bulk raw materials :
Monday at 7 am to Friday 00:00 am NON STOP

The seller or buyer of goods has to authorize a logistic company (forwarder, shipper, third
party) to transport goods from Multibase Site until destination and to transport until Multibase
Site at Saint Laurent du Pont.

The safety protocol has to be confirmed once a year or before the first delivery or shipment
or ex-works.

The transport company commits itself to organizing the merchandise transport in conformity
with the European rules and to respecting the current regulations related to the Work and
Industrial Legislation.

Loading / Unloading Instructions : Drivers must apply all safety and security rules
valid at the Multibase A Dow Corning Company site

SAFETY PROTOCOL – 2015

 Loading / unloading of goods has to be carried out only by Multibase A Dow
Corning Company’s employee except special authorization.

 Loading / unloading of goods transported by trucks as vans must be carried out by only
Transport Company’s employee.

 All drivers must stay next to the truck and ensure correct loading / unloading.
 Any person that should be accompanying a driver must imperatively stay on board of the

vehicle.
 All drivers, except to TANKER, on entering the site, must firstly :

1. Reverse into Truck parking area, and then
2. Walk to the Shipping and Reception Office with loading documents (transport

order, quantity and product loading / unloading, names of goods, supplier or customer
name, vehicle number) to receive instructions and the location of loading /
unloading which must be respected. In the temporary absence of Shipping and
Reception staff, it is necessary to wait this staff so as to be recorded.

3. After parking in the loading / unloading bay, the driver must turn the engine off, make
sure the parking brake is applied and open the sides of the trailer.
Pallets used for delivery of the goods must be in good condition.
Any equipment (covers or floor) must be in conform to Supplier or Customer
specification requirements. The equipment will be checked before any loading.

4. After loading / unloading, drivers must collect documentation of receipt of delivery
and come back to the Shipping and Reception Office after reversing into truck parking
area.

 It is strictly forbidden to walk through the production buildings (except authorization).
 Alcoholic drinks and/or drugs are prohibited on site.
 Truck types accepted for loading / unloading :

Side loading trucks with roof and side covers
Tanker
Truck container with plastic bag
Sea freight container
Refrigerated trucks are prohibited.

 For sea freight shipping trucks, drivers must give its ignition keys to the
loading station to validate the parking before loading.

For TANKERS, drivers must go directly to “WEIGHBRIDGE” (on the left on site) and
then go to the bulk reception office in Hall N°1 wearing safety glasses and following
indicated pedestrian way.
Any equipment (tank or hydraulic hose) must be in conform to Supplier or Customer
specification requirements and be in good working condition. Any equipment will be
checked before any loading / unloading.

Before any transfer, drivers must connect to electrically ground the truck. DO NOT LIFT
TANK AT THE BEGINNING OF MATERIAL TRANSFER.

For OIL TANKERS, after having been checked by our production staff, the driver has to
connect the hose to the oil unloading area, after electrical grounded connection. Please
follow posted safety instructions.

Material available

 A shower room is available between 06:00 am – 08:00 pm. Please respect this area and
leave it in a clean state after use.

 Candies, hot and cold drinks are available via a distributor in Hall No1. To access the
machine, safety glasses must be worn and please ask for permission from Shipping and
Reception Office.

The non-observance of these instructions will be noticed on the transport order
(CMR). A claim will be sent to the transport company.
